Started SMA in the third grade and our girl is thriving. We love the STEAM lab twice a week. She is happy and excited everyday at school. She is learning so much and is also showing personal growth. The class sizes are small and the students get a lot of attention. It felt like her public school was just how to get the best score on the next state test. This is such a huge difference from that experience.

My child has attended St. Mark's for 3 years and the school has exceeded my husband and my expectations. The teachers are very caring, kind and genuinely enjoy teaching the children. It's a very small school with small class sizes. The largest class size my son ever had was 15 students. But each class has an assistant teacher, which is really nice. The assistant teachers are amazing and very qualified, so it feels like my son's class has essentially had 2 teachers. St. Mark's is a christian school and really focuses it's religious education on teaching values, particularly kindness. Like most boys, my son is very energetic and St. Mark's has P.E. everyday with a P.E. teacher (not his regular class teacher) and the kids have recess everyday. The STEAM teacher is amazing and the school has a STEAM lab which the kids love. Plus the children have a music teacher and attend music at least 2 times a week (it might be 3 times, not sure). I highly recommend this school. My son enjoys attending this school.

The teachers at St. Mark's have a special vocation. They teach because they were born to do it, and it's evident in all their interactions. There hasn't been a time that I've walked into the school and haven't seen them ALL smiling, energetic and ready to greet you and the kids. The same goes for all other staff members. They know each child by name. Daily chapel is such a wonderful experience for character development, and the traditions that have been part of the institution for decades shine year after year. It's a joy to see my child be so excited about learning. As a parent, it's comforting to know your child attends a place where everyone is invested in his growth and development. We all feel welcome and supported as a family. The academics are strong as well!

My son is attending this school and is flourishing. He attended a different preschool the year before and this change has truly helped him. His class is very small and his teacher Mrs. Pike is phenomenal. Plus his class has a 2nd teacher who assists for the first half of the day. Although he’s only in PreK-3, he has a P.E. Teacher, music teacher, STEAM teacher and attends morning chapel each week. It’s a wonderful school with a very loving and caring staff. My husband and I were a tad hesitant to enroll our son in such a small school, but are beyond happy with our decision and plan to keep our son in this excellent school until the 6th grade.

Nestled in historic Cocoa Village, this academic gem has been part of our family for going on 9 years. Both of my children started their journeys at age 3 and have benefited from the amazing educators who put innovative learning in to the everyday. Highly recommend.

This amazing school has recently implemented a marine biology program, the only one in any Brevard County elementary school of which I am aware. The school is located on the Indian River in Cocoa Village, and they recently built a dock and outdoor classroom to provide hands-on marine biology instruction and experiments. It is amazing what the students are learning and doing. They are also heavily committed to the save the lagoon programs and are actively participating in oyster bed filtration at the school location and planting new seagrass in the lagoon. There is much to do to save our lagoon, but we are teaching our next generation to participate and eventually take charge in those efforts.

As parent of a kindergartener 15-20 minutes is definitely adequate for the age.

I have always been a proponent of public schools. However our youngest child's needs were not met in the public arena. Now we cannot imagine being involved in any other school. Getting an excellent education in a loving and caring environment cannot be matched. As Christian parents (although of a different religion) we highly value Chapel in the am and prayer at lunch as well as at the end of the day. We highly recommend this school!

There are not enough words to describe how much we love St. Mark’s Episcopal Academy. The small school size allows for an amazing family feel you can't get at lager schools. The faculty and staff go above and beyond in so many ways. The children not only receive an amazing education in all of the traditional subjects they get so much more. Each grade has weekly classes in the STEAM lab where they are learning so many amazing things. My kindergartner comes home with launchers she built, 3D printed shapes, light up creations and so much more! They have PE and recess daily, music and Spanish twice a week and art once a week. Students are also taught so many important life skills. They are taught to be respectful of other’s feelings, solve problems without conflict and reflect on their actions when they make a mistake. St. Mark’s teaches the child as a whole and offers so many extra curricular topics to help spark an interest in every child. I can't imagine my children attending any other school. Call and schedule a tour, you won't be disappointed.

The foundation that is being created in my kids is incredible. With a low parent teacher ratio, 1:1 technology, Spanish, STEAM, art, music, and P.E. the leadership of SMEA understands that education is so much more that preparing for standardized tests! The education standards are high but so is the creation of character. The kids not only have recess but they also have P.E. everyday! I highly recommend SMEA if you are looking for the best education in Brevard County!

This school has been amazing! It has taken my child in and embraced them. My child was shy and bashful and now is more outgoing. They have small class sizes to help the individual student in all areas. They offer many subjects like STEAM, PE every day, art, music, Spanish and library days. They are currently working on rebuilding marine biology that was wiped out with a past hurricane. They have a hands on approach to learning. This school is a “hidden gem” and we are very lucky to have found it after our relocation. I can honestly say, my child is loved there and feels important. My child feels like this is home away from home and not just some kid in a classroom.

St Mark's is an excellent school. Their focus is on the overall development of each student not just academic performance. While the standards are high, the class sizes are small allowing the teachers to move each child at their own developmental pace. They still have recess and gym everyday! Their music, art, STEM, and Spanish programs are outstanding!

Well qualified and caring teachers make this school a must if you are looking for challenging academics within a caring, Christian environment. The school is small which means that it has a real family feel to it. The Head of School knows everyone! Academic results are really impressive.

St. Mark's is a really great school. Strong academics and character development are what makes them stand out. The teachers are fantastic. They really care about the kids and their success. A wonderful school for your children if you want them to grow spiritually as well as academically. Definitely check it out.

St. Mark's Episcopal Academy is a wonderful place for children to grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually. The Christian environment fosters enrichment and personal development. My children love to go to school, and they have built relationships that go beyond the classroom. As a parent and a teacher, it is important that our children love to learn. St. Mark's exemplifies this objective and surpasses all expectations. SMEA is more than a school, it is a family!

This school has a long way to go as it is clearly overrated in many aspects. The head of the school and management see parents as ATMs and wouldn't shy away from hurting your child's academic learning if needed( not enough donations). Not only does the management lack respect for parents but also do they lack fairness and objectivity in dealing with parents. Clearly, wealthy parents can buy good grades for their kids as the school runs on money. Teachers are excellent; however, they lack independence as they have to succumb to management pressures to keep their job. I wish this school the best even when it fails to provide above average academic experience to its bright students.
