We knew we wanted a school that focused on our child's well being and that we felt safe leaving him while we both work. We were happy that they offered soccer, tennis and other afterschool activities. A few of our friends in the area recommended Kingswood Montessori. Our son had been at another school, but right away we noticed the difference, he came home calmer, more confident, and full of joy. We see how he gets out of the car happy. The teachers create such a peaceful, respectful environment, we see it every time we go for events or at pick up. Our son has learned not only how to be independent, but also more patient. We are endlessly grateful to the staff for the love and intentionality they pour into each child, and as parents, we couldnt ask for more.

I truly love this school and the education and connections my child has made in the last 4 years. We love the teachers and they are very responsive. Teachers are available afterschool to connect, we use the Class Dojo App for daily communication and conferences are a great way to cath up and learn about my child's strengths and areas of improvement. It is a great school, and I am grateful that is in my community it has made a positive impact in my family.

Communication with this school is terrible. They dont have any apps to interact with, dont answer the phone, and an email response will take weeks.
Children are not an even plane field. The students that get care and attention are those the staff has some sort of connection to.
The school grounds are pretty but they have no security. Anyone can walk on to the school without admin noticing. Their playgrounds have a short fence that by the street.

Choosing the right school is on of the hardest decision a parent can make. I must say, since the first day we toured Kingswood Montessori we felt it was the perfect home for our daughter. This is her first time in school as she is a toddler and she has blossomed. She comes home showing us new things she has learned, and she runs in when greeted in the morning and leaves happy. It is such a great piece of mind to see her grow in a positive environment. We have great communication with all her teachers and I love all the events the school hosts. I will definitely recommend this school.

Please do not send your children to the school! They take zero accountability all they care about is taking your money.
We were told by our sons teacher that he was antisocial along with other statements that were completely inaccurate. She said we should see his physician to get a referral to a neurologist. She said she saw red flags that he could possibly be in the autism spectrum. We were shocked but had our son evaluated by real professionals who said he had no signs of being in the spectrum. They reviewed her report and compared it to his evaluation and concluded that her report was untruthful and questioned if it was even for the same child.
We are extremely disappointed to have to withdraw our son during the middle of the school year. But as parents we have to do what is best to protect our son from a teacher who has a biased opinion of him and we can not trust.
If you are reading this review, please note that I took the time to write it to warn other parents. I do not want what happened to my son to happen again. Although I do believe he was not the first child to go through this, unfortunately

Amazing school. This school has impact my children in such as positive way. They teach the children to be more outspoken, independent, and resilient. My children academic progress has improved tremendously. I recommend this school. I would not hesitate to enroll them for middle or high school if they ever expanded. The teacher are the heroes there! They make the children feel excited to learn, integrated in the school.

The toddler program at this school is a truly magnificent program. The teacher, Ms. Heather, is absolutely everything you could ask for in a caretaker and in an educator. I feel 100% safe leaving my daughter with her everyday- and I'm a pretty tough critic when it comes to my child. Ms. Heather and her assistants Ms Connie and Ms Pillar pay very close attention to detail, and they notice whenever there is something different about your child's behavior. It's like every child is the only child in the class. Ms. Heather is an excellent communicator that has allowed us to work together and maximize my daughter's growth, academically, physically and emotionally. My daughter has learned so much in her class. In addition to all she has learned academically, she has grown in her humanity as well. She has learned to be loving, giving, kind and polite- just like Ms. Heather. I feel so blessed to be a part of the Kingswood community, which is really more of a family. Thank God for schools like this- that stat true to what they advertise, and provide a safe place for our children to grow.

I have to tell say that my daughter has always done fairly in school in, straight As and whatnot. She came from a charter school that adopted common core and although work was brutal with my assistance she did great. However, I felt the work just too much and I decided to put her in the Montessori system to give it a try. I waited for the SAT results to see how well she did and I was very impressed. I did not get involved once with her work and she scored better than in the public school. Also Kingswood turned her into a reader, which she was not. I have to confess that I was a little apprehensive at first but Ms. Cindy is a phenomenal teacher. The approach at Kingswood is very family oriented and the attention is incredible. I definitely recommend this school to anyone who is interested in having their child learn properly.

It is interesting that the school places 5 star reviews in an attempt to raise the schools overall rating. They refuse to address the problems they have within their program and only want to represent that they are accredited and perfect in a very competitive market. Just because a formerly accredited school is purchased for 2.3 million dollars does not mean it continues to be run as such. I think the teacher below should address real problems and concerns rather than make attempts to raise the star ratings.

I have been part of the Kingswood Montessori staff for almost 10 years, and proud to have grown professionaly and learned in a supportive team whose priority is our students and families. As a teacher it is important to work in a school that is fully accredited and accountable We are proud of that at Kingswood Montessori, we work hard to maintain such high standards that our students deserve. We follow Maria Montessori's philosophy and I have the privilege to watch my students grow and learn in our three year cycle. My students move on to our Elementary program as independent learners who are kind and happy. It is truly is a great place to call home.

Kingswood Montessori a private school in Homestead, Fl is a refreshing approach to education. Small class size, professional, loving teachers that really take time to know my child. They teach to his needs and he loves to go to school. He has learned about Monet and the differences between oval and elipse and he is in preschool. I enjoy the small school feeling, and all of the activities. He started last summer camp at 3, next year he will be in the VPK, and I'm looking forward to Kindergarten since all the children are above grade level readers.

Our Children have been very lucky to go to Kingswood Montessori. It has given them a very positive attitude to school. They have been very happy there and it shows in their results.

We chose Kingswood Montessori School because we think it is the best option of schools in the area. We wanted its international curriculum and multicultural environment. We like the way kids learn and the great community the school has.

This School has an amazing ability to attract top people who work for the love of teaching. The school has given my nephew a tremendous amount of freedom to pursue knowledge and experiences far beyond that of a typical school, and has challenged him to explore his interests in great depth

After visiting many schools, I knew immediately that Kingswood Montessori School was the right choice for our son and family as it had everything I were looking for and so much more small class sizes, amazing teachers, caring community and a dynamic and nurturing curriculum!

The academic program at Kingswood does not compare to anything else. The school is fully accredited and all the teachers are certified and it shows. My children are above grade level and they are blossoming. They are independent and enjoying their experience. We bought a house closer to the school, because we plan for them to continue with the school through Elementary. They have an open door policy, and it's a school that encourages parent involvement as well as parent education. All of the pertinent certification is posted in the for all to see, like accreditation, teachers credentials. We recommend it highly. It's a Homestead treasure for our family.

Very disappointed on this school academic program, I had my daughter enrolled at Kingswood for 3 years in a row since toddler, we noticed she wasn't learning at all after 1 year, but yet we kept her there for 2 more years our big mistake!!!! After a big research I found out that Kingswood is not associated to the American Montessori Society meaning that KG dont have to follow the association rules! E.g having non certified Montessori teachers, changing staff without notification one time after another, I guess she spent to many ours at KG sleeping and not learning at all! Now she is learning and not sleeping and she has learn in 2 months what she was supposed to learn in 3 years!!! This is a kindergartner she was supposed to know her abc at least, sounds, abc recognition! AT LEAST!! I don't regret the time she spent at Kingswood, I do regret I speant so much money for an academic program that they don't really offer. If you do enrolled your children at Kingswood do not only notice the smiles the big acres of the school the trees the surroundings concentrate on what matters the most your child academic performance!!! Don't let pass to much time to notice good luck and god bless

As a parent, it is such a relief to find a school for my toddler where I don't just know my child will be fine but where it just feels right. Bringing my little girl to school everyday is such a joy. She is so happy and the teachers and assistants are such lovely ladies. I like how they are so sensitive to the needs of my daughter. They notice subtle changes in her mood which I thought only I noticed. It feels so wonderful to know that my daughter is not just another student but that her teacher and assistant genuinely care about her and her well being. I wanted to write this because I just feel so blessed to have found Kingswood after having visited so many other schools that completely depressed me.

Kingswood Montessori is not a certified American Montessori certified school. There class rooms are displayed with minimal Montessori materials and do not follow Montessori methods or philosophy's. The school website and director say it is but lets be honest they are not. The Teachers and Assistants are not Montessori certified and most children fall behind based on Sunshine Test. You will realize with time that this school's only focus is keeping the parents happy with comments of how well your child is doing to continue collecting tuition payments. Only after your child takes an assessment test at another school do you realize how behind your child is. Yet the director seems to feel she has no responsibility for said results...

Certainly,Kingswood Montessori Schools is the best preschool and school Homestead has to offer. My child's previous school was not challenging enough so one of our friends recommended we see Kingswood. The school is beautiful; I fell in love from the tour alone but did my homework before enrolling. In one school year my child has advanced two grade levels in reading and a a full grade level in math. My son is so happy; he wants to go to school on Saturdays. It is certainly refreshing to see such a beautiful school that offers such a strong academic program. There truly is no other school like it in all of Homestead. Believe me I looked and looked for a long time.

This past year we had 31 students with one amazing lead teacher which was let go and two assistants. We were promised 2 additional assistants to pull students out for one on one and after two weeks they were both let go to never be replaced. The school accepts VPK, Mackay and Step-up scholarships. Within the students there are several who are promised occupational therapist they require yet never has one been hired nor recruited for these special needs children. Go to any other school within Homestead and ask what there opinion on the school and director are, They will confirm everything I am writing and all have something negative to say. It is sad that Mrs. Elizabeth Calabrese who founded the school and owned it for over 30 yrs vision has been destroyed by this new owner.

This school is not interested in the childrens well being and education! They know nothing about Montessori. They only have Montessori in the name so they can charge more. The teachers are changing all the time and the administration is shadey. The parents are kept in the dark about everything and highly discouraged from communicating with the people in charge of their children.

My child was in the free part-time VPK program (the only Montessori school in the area that offers that),and did very well - liked the teachers, kids, and animals, and came home with a smile at the end of each day. We eventually withdrew her because of a medical issue, but we appreciate the positive first school experience she got there.

Kingswood Montessori has a program that focuses on academics in a campus that allows the child to explore and learn through hands on experiences. The staff is very warm and loving. My 3 year old was in another program, as soon as I transferred him my husband and i noticed the difference immediately. The teachers are very engaging and concerned about my son's progress. He runs to class, and is always welcomed by hugs. As a fellow teacher I am aware of what it takes to be a well rounded educator, and the Montessori philosophy really fosters that in their teachers. I am happy, my son is enjoying his experience in the preschool.

Our daughter is in the early elementary years, this school will make a difference in your child interests in school and it will also give them a heads up for later life. She just completed her second year at Kingswood. We are thrilled with the school and the personal attention our daughter receives in terms of academic and social development. The environment is extremely supportive for the kids, and almost all the kids I see at the school love being there. The after-school programs are superb and offer a wide array activities such as dance, music, art, sports. The facilities are excellent for these grade levels, from the playgrounds to bathrooms in each classroom.

HORRIBLE SCHOOL!!!!!!! They don't treat the kids with respect!!!!!!!!! The teachers and assistance need more training and education with all kinds of kids. Everything is disorganized. The kids aren't learning anything!!!!!!! Don't be fooled by the animals & appearance of the school.

My children attended Kingswood years ago, and now I have my grandson at the school. In homestead this school is unique it gives your child a love of learning and sets them up to love learning. My daughter knew when my grandson came of age Kingswood would be the only school for him, my kids still have wonderful memories of the beautiful campus, which has only gotten better. Kingswood is an established school in our community and I love that generations of families that I know have been educated in such a wonderful institution. A true homestead treasure.

By far the worst school that my son has ever attended. Thid school is all about business and not about a nurturing educational environment there quick to dismiss kids that are active and the teachers have no qualifications to be teaching the classes are teaching. Montessori Philosophy is not even followed. Ask to see the teachers credentials. I'm sure the director will tiptoe around why she can't show you them.

Kingswood Montessori is one of the nation's finest schools,is one of the few accredited schools in the area. Kingswood excels in every quality that a school should have. The resources and the facility the school has makes me wish I was in school again. Also, the teacher to student ratio is low which provides each student with more attention. I would recommend this school to any parent for their children. The staff is also very responsive to the parents' needs.
