My son got bullied in this school, and he seems sad everyday and doesn't want to go to school

the teachers don't care about the students. they just want the paychecks. but teachers such as Ms. Lopez are caring and reach out to parents. bullying happening IN CLASS, and nothing ever gets done! kids do "slap fighting" in the bathrooms every day and fight in the hallways but nothing ever get done. the principal was a step up from the last, but they need to hire teachers who care about the students. don't let the test scores fool you! I've seen kids get hit lots of times in front of teachers and no one cares! girls are all in cliques and bullying happens every single day. the teachers need to step up!

Had one son went through all 3 yrs and another son going through it now. Our experience has been very good. My older son was in many advanced classes. We had periodic meetings with the advisor to go over his development plan and recommendations for his future. We felt the faculty did a great job overall for his education. He made many great friends while there and still hang out with them today even when some kids moved to different high schools. He joined one sport team, and loved his experience. My younger son is also enjoying his first year at the middle school, and like his brother, is involved in different clubs. Neither has had any bullying or negative experiences. My sons use the bus to go to school. Pretty easy process with minor issues when the kids started to go back to school after pandemic. The one area that I would love to see improvement is the portable classrooms, but that's a whole budget discussion. Overall, I would recommend to school. Pioneer and the other schools are part the key reason that we decided to move to this neighborhood 4 yrs ago.

I agree with the previous review. This school doesnt effectively address bullying. When my son was a 6th grader he reported an assault by a classmate. The school had the conflict mediator handle the incident and call me after speaking with the bully. She told me she believed the kid had kicked my son in the groin because he wanted to be his friend. I asked her if she was serious, and her response was, youd be surprised. A few days after the incident, the same boy brought a laser pointer pen into the classroom and aimed it at my childs eyes during class. I believe the kid may not have done this had he been disciplined for the first offense. The school shouldnt have passed off an assault to a conflict mediator. It should have been handled by administration.

Excellent school. My daughter loves going to Pioneer. She's a gifted student and loves the challenge. The teachers care. The gifted program does come with a lot of homework but that's understandable.

Teachers communicate well, Pinnacle is set to alert to any grades that are below my expectations. My son loves his reading and science teachers, and is challenged, but not crushed in his GEM math class. Expect 90 minutes of homework each day, some days even 3 hours, especially on a gifted track.

Kind of a sham nowadays. When push comes to shove and and you look for support outside routine you find out the routine means more to them than the Children.

Pioneer is an excellent middle school. Both my kids love their school and we just moved here. They already feel like part of everything.

im now entering middle school and im excited!!! =] im trying to find out more about the school so i know were my teachers are!! LOL! =P even though i know like, 1/2 the kids, im a LITTLE nervous.

I've been going to this school for 3 years its been a great learning experience. Some of the teachers are a little crazy and weird but they all have good intentions. even though the sports program is missing a few older sports like volleyball, softball, and base ball because of budget cuts. The students are very accepting and there's lots of them! The art and musical teachers are supportive and friendly the musical and art program participate in competitions and school and city events. The math program ranges from 6th to 10th grade math. this school. Budget cuts has forced teachers to buy more for their students but that doesn't stop the benefits that this school gives to the students. there's a ton of clubs and events that students can attend. for the best educational experience this school is the best choice.

Worse school ever! Do NOT send you children here! 6th grade teachers do not want to help their students and are very mean to their students. Their excuse? They are "preparing them for 7th grade". When you try and contact teachers to discuss your concerns, they are very nasty and say they don't have time, to just email. Right now students are supposed to be preparing for FCATS. Students are just handed these practice tests and with no explaining of material to "prepare" the children, they're told to just do it... And they are graded on it?! Its FCAT practice! how do you grade on that?! I am just waiting for this year to end to register my child in another school.. ANY other school!
