We have a child w/ ASD/ADHD who has had so much challenges in the primary years of Elementary school. We even tried private schools and that was a bust. NOB HILL HAS BEEN AMAZING! He has acclimated to the environment. They're super supportive. His teachers are kind. The school is understanding and treats him well. We are beyond happy with being here and my son is thriving academically. He scored a 5 on his reading and a 3 on his math last year and now we're in 5th grade and so sad that he has to leave a school that he has finally been accepted and comfortable in. If you're thinking about Nob Hill, say yes!

We love Nob Hill Elementary! We switched schools because our current school had declined in many ways. We were extremely glad we did. My son felt welcomed from the first day he walked in. The teachers seem genuinely happy and really care about their students.

My kids have spend 3 and 1 year at this school. I loved it! This year was difficult to watch the fall for my daughter in the 4th grade. She was in a class that she was doing well and really liked her teacher. Then 2 months later they tell her she is being shuffled due to class size and placed in a new class with a new teacher with more than half the boys having behavioral issues. She was now being made fun of and having to deal with all distractions that she was not used to having before. People that know my daughter and work at the school were asking me why she was even placed in that class! It was so bad that their teacher changed her behavior chart 3 times and eventually walked out on the class and quit! The class then had subs and the last one agreed to stay until the rest of the school year. I went to talk with the principal and I explained to her that she does not do well with all these changes and was begging me to get her back to her original class. She made me feel like I had no choice, my hands were tied and as I was trying to advocate for my daughter, I feel like she was telling me to suck it up and move on. As much as I tried to help my daughter I could see it going down hill. She now was bring home Ds and Fs. Her FSA score was terrible. I do think in general there are great teachers at the school, but this situation was not fair to my child and she suffered.

It seems like a normal amount of homework is given, but my child attends the aftercare program and is given time to do her homework there.

My child has been at Nob Hill for 4 years and I have loved all of her teachers. The specials teachers are also great and she has been able to participate in several after school clubs.

My student has been positively influenced by the teachers and mentored in after school activities like the chess club.

I wish the communication on important issues from the administration to the parents was better.

Nob Hill has provided a positive and effective learning environment for my child. Her teachers have been excellent and she has had many growth and learning opportunities. Thank you Nob Hill.

Moving from up north to S. Florida I was a bit skeptical about the schooling system. However, I must say Nob Hill has been a great experience.

My child started this school in the 3rd grade. At first I thought this school was great but as time went on I notice there's lack of communication. If you want to know what is going on you have to forced to go to PTA meeting, unfortunately I am a working mom that cannot make it to these PTA meetings. The front office people have their days sometimes they can be nice and sometimes VERY rude. When they get to know you is when they are nice. I am disappointed this year with the lack of communication between the teacher and other staff members this school year.

Stear clear, the school is getting worse every year. The lack of communication from administration is horrible. My son's teacher left half-way through the school year and the school didn't tell parents about it till the new teacher started. The administration had notice she was resigning for personal/medical reasons but chose not to tell the parents this was going to happen at all - we were just blindsided by the change - unacceptable. It is one thing to provide your student and the teachers with the supplies they need for the school year, i think as parents we have all accepted that they no longer provide our kids with pencils, crayons, paper etc... but then the school starts requesting cleaning supplies for the janitors?! What! The amount of money I am spending sending my child to public school I might as well just send him to private school. There are amazing teachers at this school but I feel that the moral is low and many of the good ones are looking elsewhere. The #1 problem I feel starts from the top ( the principal) seems when she took over everything just went South.

I have sent both of my children to Nob Hill Elementary and they have had a wonderful educational experience. It is not a perfect school, but the teachers care about the kids and everyone is friendly. I wish other parents would get more involved with the school and school events.
