My family has had an exceptional experience at St. Agatha Catholic School. My daughter, Amy, has attended the school for the past four years, and we have been consistently impressed by the dedication, professionalism, and genuine care shown by the administration, teachers, and staff throughout that time.

I would especially like to recognize Mrs. Menéndez. She is truly one of the best teachers I have ever had the privilege of knowing. Her dedication, patience, professionalism, and genuine commitment to her students are remarkable. She goes above and beyond every day, and the positive impact she has had on my daughter is something our family will always appreciate.

Thank you to the principal, faculty, and staff for all that you do. It is clear that the students are at the heart of everything you do, and that makes all the difference.

After four wonderful years at St. Agatha Catholic School, I can confidently recommend it to any family looking for a school that combines academic excellence, strong values, and a truly caring community.

Where do I begin? We've had our kids enrolled here for a couple of years now, and we are deeply disappointed with how this school is run.

Constant Fees and Lack of Financial Transparency

From the start, this school treats parents like walking ATMs, nickel-and-diming us every week with yet another expense. On top of that, the school charges additional fees under the guise of "upgrades and improvements." However, after all the years we've been here, nothing has been painted and everything still looks the same, dull and old. Where is that money going? They hold fundraisers throughout the year, which is fine, but there is nothing to show for it.

Excessive Time Off

While I respect what teachers do, and have teachers in my own family, the amount of time off they receive feels excessive. Between three weeks for Christmas and Easter, federal holidays, summers off, and numerous floating holidays, teacher planning days, and half days, it adds up quickly. Teachers are not the only professionals with demanding jobs. What about parents who work and have no one to watch their kids on these days? This school doesn't seem to consider them AT ALL.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up Issues

Finally, the drop-off and pick-up process is a recurring frustration. The school consistently finds every reason in the book to require parents and grandparents to park and walk into the building, which creates unnecessary security risks. Rather than using some of the fees they collect to upgrade the carport and entrance, such as adding a proper booth for the staff member taking numbers, they pass the burden onto parents. When this was brought up at a parent-teacher meeting, the principal essentially deflected by saying that other schools do the same thing, and then moved on without actually addressing the concern. They simply cannot be bothered.

Parents deserve better, yet most say nothing and go along with whatever they are told, treating the teachers and administration as though they are beyond reproach. The entire thing is sickening.

My son is in middle school and he is taught by an excellent team of professional teachers. When he started he was behind in reading and math and in just one year he has made an incredible improvement.

After having met with the middle school department, his teachers provided me with a plan to effectively help my son. His teachers help him individually and give him the attention and redirection he needs to succeed.

St. Agatha has been the best decision I’ve made for my son. Students are prepared for Highschool when they graduate. His teachers are genuinely invested in his academic success. I could not ask for a better place for my son.

I love this school, I have 2 boys and they love being here. They have learned a lot from the teachers and they are also nice and attentive to your child's needs.

This school is a horrible experience and i do not recommend it to anyone. The only thing that i got out of this school was the friends and the connections. Overall terrible experience DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$$

most of the student when they graduate and move to high school they go directly to tutoring, they are not well prepared, I don't know what it is but they are facing a huge problem with students, as for the teachers for some reason they fired the well knowledge teachers and kept the bad ones, the extra curricular activities are non existing , as for sports sometimes they cannot even make a team, they recently hire some new teachers but for some reason they seem to be not graduated from an accredited schools.

Teachers are qualified and extremely caring and loving. They are very knowledgeable in the material they teach. As a teacher myself I have discussed with them different subjects and have always had good feedback.

They give the appropriate amount for the child's age and grade. As a parent I really appreciate this because as a working parent it would be very difficult to have an overload of homework.

Please, This school is a really BAD EXPERIENCE!! My family had really bad experience in this school. I agree with other parents that THE PRINCIPAL is intimating to everyone including her teachers. The school has a reasonably priced private Catholic school, but bad education and the PRINCIPAL,administration and teachers don't discipline their children FAIRLY. The Principal is very unprofessional person, she needs to show love for the children. PLEASE SAVE YOUR $$$$$$$. This school needs a new administration to be better please for our family. SAD TO SAY BUT LOOK AT OTHER SCHOOLS. SAVE YOUR $$$$$$$$$.....

St. AAgatha is a great school! My children have attended this school and have gotten admitted to wonderful Catholic high schools and honor programs. I have my youngest at Saint Agatha and he could not be happier. The teachers are amazing and highly qualified. They are caring and friendly. The new administration is wonderful and has been a positive change for the school. The principal Mrs. Hernandez is approachable and friendly. The curriculum is rigorous and prepares the students very well. My children have developed many beautiful friendships throughout their years at St. A Agatha. There is a lot of parent involvement and a warm family environment. Look no further than St. Agatha school when deciding where to put your child.

I've been a parent at St. Agatha for several years. My children that have already graduated have been accepted into advanced scholar programs in their high schools of choice. I still have one child left there and she loves her school. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a school with a kind and caring Principal, office staff, and teachers who go the extra mile to help the kids. They have an excellent and demanding curriculum that prepares the kids to be successful in high school and in life.

This school is truly a blessing! Great teachers, administration, and office staff. Great environment for children. My daughter has learned so much in the last three years she has been there. Ms. Hernandez is a wonderful and caring principal.

Do your research before selecting St Agatha School. School grades have declined steadily over the past years. It could be rated as a "D" school . This change in performance coincided with a change in leadership at the school. In recent years, there has been high teacher turnover, especially in the Upper Elementary grades. Because of poor performance on standards-based assessments, and a failure to adequately blend their curriculum with catholic learning goals, academically is a disaster , the kids have no chance to survive when they transfer to high school, most teachers are not prepared to teach they spend the day texting.

I have dealt with other private and public middle schools so I believe that I am qualified to make the comparison and provide a fair review. My child has been at St. Agatha since 6 grade and I can tell you that the only good thing about St. Agatha Middle School is the social aspect. Because it s a small school, the kids become very close and thus so do the parents. Academically it s a total DISASTER. The root of the problem is that the principal who is basically non-existent, except for the purpose of fund raising and other non-academic nonsense. The assistant principal is invisible. There are very few competent teachers most go to collect a paycheck at the end of the week. The office staff is rude, unhelpful and disorganized. The school does not demand academically from the kids. There are no book projects, no mandatory reading of classics, no computer based programs (i.e. MathXL) to help improve math and/or reading skills, just very academically relaxed. These have been three lost year for my child.

my daughter had a terrible experience with her 3rd grade teacher, the teacher is not kids friendly person at all. Also, once I forgot to paid my kid lunch account and they gave mi child bread with butter at lunch time. They are always asking for all type of donations, and they feed bread with butter a child because did not have lunch account balance. No one called me to let me know that my kid was going to have a piece of bread for lunch so I could stop by and pay. or take food for her.

All the school its great and amazing teachers and staff but the only big concern is that the security lady with blonde hair is very rude and doesnt have manners at all calling people bad names and something rude i fell very dissapointed and i think of children being at a catholic school this isnt what we think is right way to talk to the parents!

This is my first year at St. Agatha, as a PreK mom. I can truly say the school has been amazing so far. The teachers are so wonderful and loving. The staff and administration are great and truly show dedication to their profession daily. The way the school is run is just admiring. I look forward to many memories at this wonderful school!

As I get ready to wrap up another year here at St.Agatha school I found it necessary to take some time and share some of my feelings. if you are in search for placement I highly recommend you visit our school, I have been there for 6+ years and again was reminded what a great decision to place my youngest in PK3 as I did with my oldest. I could not say enough about the dynamic duo (Mrs.Diaz and Mrs.Betty) though their patience and love for what they do my daughter that came from a "home with grandma" setting in more than ready for PK4. The Administration I could not say enough about, from day one I have always been impressed by the fact that our Principal Mrs.Glass is always in the front to greet our children and give them and the parents a warm welcome. I am a happy SAS parent looking forward to many years ahead.

Great Experience!!! As my child get's ready to close her chapter in PK3, I'd like to share that although I am happy to see how much she has learned and therefore is well-prepared for other challenges... it is bittersweet! I feel that I was blessed by both, her PK3 teacher and Aide. I could not say enough about these two ladies... they are short for AMAZING and truly have " BIG hearts filled with love for little minds"... we will miss them!

Many years ago a neighbor introduced us to St. Agatha and since then the school and the parish have become part of our family. My children now grown reflect that their time at St. Agatha was incredible. They've mentioned that they were nurtured and received a great education that have led them with God's guidance to become wonderful, caring individuals both in their profession and personal lives. We would recommend St. Agatha to anyone who wants to place their children in a caring, nurturing, catholic environment where they will learn and be able to transition and succeed in high school and beyond. I spent 10 years at St. Agatha and it was an amazing experience! The faculty/staff are very helpful and loving people. The teachers are amazing! Some of the negative reviews about this school are quite difficult to comprehend and take seriously. Each of my kids attended this school for 10 years so we have a truly full experience to draw from...and we can attest that it has been great for a majority of that time. Most teachers were very friendly...our kids received lots of attention and got a very good education which prepared them well for good private high schools...which they easily got into. A big part of St. Agatha's success is the principal, Mrs. Glass, who puts a very high emphasis on academics. She chooses her teachers carefully and presses the students to do well. She can be very strict and imposing...but isn't that what we want in our principals? Especially when we choose a private school for our kids? Yes, we want someone who takes control and is not afraid to make difficult decisions...even when it isn't the popular one. Our experience was very positive and I confidently recommend St. Agatha.

My experience in St. Agatha has been amazing!!! Both my children have attended the school since PK4 and have had nothing more than a beautiful experience. They have made long lasting memories that they will treasure forever. The teachers are very caring and loving with the children. The principal, Mrs. Glass, has always been very nice and has known how to run the school in a very successful way. She doesn't cave in to unruly parents and stands her ground firmly when making decisions that benefit the school. Academically, it's very good, my daughter entered high school very prepared and her transition was very easy. I think of St. Agatha as my second home, met lots of great families and will always keep St. Agatha very close to my heart.

After visiting several area schools, we finally felt at home at St. Agatha. Warm staff, amazing teachers, large classrooms and a top notch education. Excellent School! My family s experience with St. Agatha has been wonderful. St Agatha is an excellent school with a caring supportive staff that encourages and nurtures an environment conducive to learning. Incredible experience! My three children attended St. Agatha from Pk3 thru 8th grade. My husband and I have very fond memories in all our years there. While there my oldest child was discovered to have a learning disability and with the constant help from ALL the faculty, staff and administration; today my child attends a prestigious university. My other two children have been attending great Catholic high schools and my middle child has been accepted into seven universities. My husband and I truly believe that the foundation that St. Agatha gave our children was the key for their brighter future. St. Agatha helped us plant the seed for them to follow our Catholic values. It not only starts at home, you enhance your teachings and moral values with the help of a great school environment and church community. We were very blessed!

I am a frist year parent and have an amazing experience! My daughters teacher is wonderful, she is knowledgeable and very loving to my child and the rest of the students. She is helpful in every way possible when it comes to her educational needs. I have had a postive experience with the office staff and admiistration. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a faith based education for their child. I have been in another parochial school and it has not compared to my experience here. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! St. Agatha is such an awesome place for kids to learn. The admin, teachers, and parents so obviously care about the kids. The environment is always warm and welcoming, as soon as you walk in the principal, assistant principal, and/or pastor are always there to greet you and your kids. They have high standards for learning and believe all can achieve. I was always particularly touched at the inclusion of students with special needs at this school. It is so heart-warming to see students with special needs receiving Communion and other sacraments with their peers. It is something you will not find in any other Catholic school in the area. Their special education program rocks! As a member of the community, this school is a true symbol of what raising kids with a kind and compassionate Catholic heart should be.

It's truly a shame that this forum is used by disgruntled parents to launch attacks at my school. Clearly, the parents that are actually making a difference and are involved with their children on a daily basis are too busy to sit here and rage on. St. Agatha is a top notch school. If you're looking for a solid education for your child coupled with a foundation based on strong catholic values, then this is the place for you. As for Extra-curricular activities, anyone sitting at our monthly masses can hear for themselves how blessed we are by our amazing choir, but you would actually have to be there to experience it. Before deciding on a school, please call the main office, take a tour, and see for yourself. You will not regret it.

St. Agatha is not only a wonderful school, it also provides students & parents a home away from home. The community at St. Agatha allows you to build bonds that will last a lifetime. I am an alumni of St. Agatha & do not know how I could be where I am today if it wasn't for the support of the St. Agatha community. The faculty truly cares for the students & their families. St. Agatha is also a reasonably priced private, Catholic institution doing it's best to not only educate its students but to also instill good, Catholic values. I grew up at St. Agatha & hope one day that my children will get to do the same.

St. Agatha School offers committed teachers and staff, lead by a committed Principal. The school is accredited by the Florida Catholic Conference, therefore the Principal and teachers are fully qualified professional educators. I know that my child is in a school that provides academic excellence, while providing a FAITHFUL & NOURISHING environment with fair and equitable discipline. Everyone from the office staff to parents are welcoming and helpful. In addition, the teachers stay each year and have their own kids in the school. I am happy to have my child at a school that the Principal greets parents and students EVERY day at the door. I am fully confident in this Catholic school.

My daughter goes to Prek-3. She started two days ago and I'm struggling with the rules for the little ones. All children are expected to be in the classroom by 8am, otherwise they are considered late and need to be walked to the classroom by a staff member that waits for late-arrivers by the main office. I demanded to walk her to the classroom because it was only her second day. They agreed, but emphasized that for safety reasons parents were not allowed to talk by the hallways after 8am. The little ones would come up to us to say hi and the teacher insisted they went back to their sits. The learning environment didn't feel very welcoming for the kids. They seem to emphasize rules and discipline much more over learning through exploration and play, as well as socialization. I don't know much about the Pre-K education, but I have heard positive things about education for the older children. I have to admit that I am a bit resentful about my choice of taking her there. I wish I had done more research about it.

Our daughter just graduated from Middle School at St. Agatha and we can only say that we are soooo glad we chose this school for her Middle School Years. The only regret we have is not putting her here since Elementary. Children respect each other and see each other as a Family. We had a great experience and our daughter was truly happy. The academics here are very strong and it has a safe environment. The Principal, Administration and Teachers show their love for the children. Our daughter received such a great education that she was accepted to a Top Elite high school. If you want a safe environment and a great education , don't hesitate to visit this school. There's always two sides to stories so don't believe all the negativity people write on these posts. Sometimes it's from people that don't even go to this school.
