My children attended kindergarten through fourth grade, it was a good school. My fourth grader had two teachers this year and the worst 2024-2025 school year. They cannot keep quality teachers extremely high turnover rate. There is nothing Christian about this school. Once you take a stand and voice your opinion then you consider a threat. The elementary principal along with fourth teacher needs to terminated effective immediately. Do not bother reaching out to the owners they do not accept accountability for their staff unprofessional behavior. Your child deserves a school that demonstrate Christian values.

This school is racist there are like 5 African American students throughout the whole school I feel so out of place. . I feel like the only black girl all day long there are 2 African American teachers that if you ask me believe they are white . This school is only out to get your money . They dont care to help kids or worry about there grades . They worry more about dress code and hair and shoes then actually letting the kids come to school to learn . Nobody wears a mask only some of the teachers but other then that everyone is walking around freely . I sat and watched the children playing at there 2 swing park and no adults were no were to be found . This place is a dump . Some Christians they are far from that I would not recommend this school to my word enemy

I don't understand how a teacher can send home homework that was never discussed in class. This isn't high school. A few homework assignments I had to go to google to see how to do it. Also, the children's tests they have, they don't even go over them in class. I could give my children a definition and it could be something way different than the definition on the test.

They do have their favorites when it comes to children. Along with certain parents as well. As much money I pay for the school, you would hope they would be colored blind. Unfortunately not. There are quite a few stereotypes including Admins there.

I don't understand how this is a "Christian" school but they celebrate Halloween, Christmas (Santa Claus showing up at the school), and they probably will celebrate Easter with the Easter Bunny. When asked about these special holidays, they said its for the kids. I think that choice should be among the parents. I'm paying for my children to attend a "CHRISTian" school and to learn about God, and NOT to learn about Santa Claus!

Our experience is that the teachers have shown the highest interest in each of our children and other children. Seacoast is a safe environment for our children. We had 2 children in this school and took them out. Our daughter experienced bullying and the administration would not address the issue and let it go on. The teachers and staff play favorites with the students and to not apply the rules equally. The teachers are not certified and we realized how far behind our children were, especially in the core classes, once we withdrew them and put in public school. They are only interested in money at this school. Do not waste your money.

Our son is a senior this year. He has attended Seacoast since the 6th grade. Our favorite thing about this school is their conviction in teaching the word of the Lord in with all the skills needed to graduate and attend college. Our sons SAT scores and ability to handle day to day situations have proven that Seacoast is doing their job in educating him.

Seacoast Christian Academy is an excellent private school with caring teachers and administration. I strongly recommend the school to any family with a child who is looking for a loving, Christian environment for their child's education. They serve children from 1 year old through 12th grade.

My son attended Seacoast Christian Academy from kindergarten through graduation. He attends college and is in the Army National Guard. This is largely due to the wonderful teachers and staff.

This was our experience at Seacoast Christian Academy... My 7th grade student was physically bullied by a 12th grade student and we were told it was partially my son's fault for antagonizing the bully. The bully punched my son in the back and picked him up and put him in a trashcan head first while a female student recorded it all on her phone. My son is a 110 lb 7th grader, the bully is a 300+ lb (according to his football profile) 12th grade student. The administrator said to my son's face, and in front of me, that my son was at fault because he apparently wouldn't stop talking?
Once I found out what happened, we filed a police report. They wrote it up as battery and said that if my son had reported it right away, they would have arrested the other student. We were told that once a bully puts his hands on another student it is no longer bullying, it is battery. Parents and schools need to know this.
Unfortunately Seacoast Christian Academy has stood by the bully, with both a board member and the school administrator saying that my son was partially to blame. I took my son out of this school when they told me that he would still be crossing paths with this student. The female student who recorded the incident had no consequences that we know of.
A board member told me that she did a "thorough investigation" of the situation, however, she never spoke to me or to my son. She claimed that her "thorough investigation" led her to believe my son was partially responsible. I can only conclude that they feel that my son was "asking for it"?
Seacoast calls themselves a "mission school", meaning they are not a traditional Christian school, but supposedly a school set up to reach a mission field, however, I feel they missed an opportunity to redirect, mentor and minister to the student who was doing the bullying. Their response reinforces this kind of behavior. They also missed the opportunity to minister to my son.
I have been extraordinarily disappointed in the people who are supposed to be leading this school. We entrust our children to people who we think will keep them safe. We never expect these very people to turn on our children, and that is what I feel happened when I requested our money back after withdrawing from this school mid-year due to this situation that should have been handled much better by the leadership of the school.

I agree with the post that said Seacoast is designed to trap low income students. They take the government funded scholarships and do not hold to their supposed Christian values and do not provide a quality education. My child is behind after spending two years in the upper school. The computer teacher left after just a couple of weeks and the new teacher would only teach Windows 7. We had to go to classes at the library to get the Windows 10 training.
This year they decided to change the Bible class into Dave Ramsey's finance class, they did not inform parents of this decision. Most of us pay extra to send our kids to Christian school specifically for the Bible, so why would they do this? A separate class would have been fine. This is an example of the complete lack of communication at this school.

The bullying mentioned in other posts does not stop with the students, the administration is guilty as well. They play favorites. You're best not to cross them, complain, ever disagree with them or stand up for your child.

I wish I had known this and made a different choice for my kid.

Seacoast may look like a wonderful school, however there are some con's- MANY OF THEM. For example, my child used to attend Seacoast since she was in preschool and my child got bullied for no reason by my child's classmates during the 4th&5th grade. I soon pulled my child out of Seacoast and added my child into a different school, learning new things that "Seacoast couldn't teach". Seacoast takes strong favoritism and wants your money, don't think about getting knowledge that will help them most of the time! There's a few teachers who actually help your child and helps them out. My child and I bumped into her old Seacoast teachers and the principal of the elementary the other day and they were constantly asking us if I was ever going to put her inside the high school. Of course we declined, my daughter is now accepted into a more preztige school and we're both happy to say that leaving Seacoast was the best thing for her future.

They have very strong reputation for showing favortism and choosing who to hold accountable for their actions. A male student hit my daughter and she hit him back. As a result, she received a sad face. When the teacher called me to let me know my child hit him, she never even mentioned to me that he had hit her first.

Sending my child to Seacoast for kindergarten was the absolute WORST decision I have ever made. They have a NO TATTLING rule and are told that they will receive the same consequence as anyone that they tattle on. As a result, my 5year old was slapped by a 2nd grader in extended day. She did not tell an adult as she feared she'd get into trouble. I addressed the issue the next week with the principal Mrs. Gasfield and her teacher and they stated that she was lying and that there was no way she would have kept that from them. The next day, the extended day teacher cared enough to actually attempt to find out the truth and the 2nd grader admitted to slapping my child when she spoke to her. No apologies were given from the principal for calling her a liar. She never even mentioned it or sent a note home. I explained that the NO TATTLING rule was not very christian like and could lead to something serious happening to one of the children without being reported. The principal responded by stating that their kindergarteners were smart enough to know what tattling would be tolerated and what tattling would'nt. After that conference, the principal was always very snooty and seemed to have a bad attitude everyt time she saw me. My daughter said to me one day that she wished I hadnt had the conference because Mrs. Gasfield the principal, no longer liked her. Obviously she came to this conclusion due to the way she had been treated after the meeting. Also, on the 2nd week of school my then 5year old was written on a referral for sliding down the slide in a bucket. I feel that was completely wrong as she should have had supervision on the playground. Where were the adults when she took the bucket from one side of the playground all the way up the stairs to the top of the slide? Today, i received a call around 11am saying that the teacher saw my daughter do something, and my 6yr old denied it when she was reprimanded for it. Mrs. Gasfield stated that she was calling her teacher a liar by denying it and that she had to leave for the rest of the day and come back to school on Monday with a better attitude. These are a few examples of the things that have prevented my daughter (who has made all A's and one B every quater) from receiving an AB Honor Award due to having a C in conduct. Last year, she completed vpk in public school and brought home 1 sad face the entire year.

Seacoast Christian Academy, particularly the elementary school, is an awful private school which is designed to trap low-income students through the Florida's "Step-Up" scholarship. They are adding a grade level every school year, and will be adding 3rd grade in 2015-2016. The turnover rate of the teachers are high, and they hire teachers who are not certified. The school does not have a library, computer lab, or any other up-to-date technology or resources that other schools have. Resources, such as music, P.E., Spanish, and Art are conducted in the classroom due to limited space. There is no special education teacher or teacher aide to assist with students who are struggling academically, and they accept students who have serious behavioral problems with no staff trained to handle them. Please do not send your child to this school, as he or she will fall behind academically, and will not have any extra-curricular activities to challenge or enrich your child.

If you are looking for a quality Christian school for your elementary child, I would take a look at Grace Lutheran School, University Christian School, or Christ the King Catholic School. These schools are about $1500-$2500 a year more than Seacoast Christian Academy, but the quality of education is well worth it! Also Impact Christian Academy is a new school opening up this year (K3-12th grade), and based on the tour that I did, and the administrative team and their credentials, this school is striving to be top notch as well. Their teachers are all certified, experienced and deemed highly qualified based on reviews from previous principals. The elementary tuition is around $7950.00 a year.

Seacoast Christian Academy is a bad choice for elementary students! They take your scholarship monies and provide a subpar education through non-certified, under-qualified teachers, for your children! Please do not cripple your child this way. You would do better to get them in a quality public school if money is an issue.

There was only one teacher this school year who was certified. One teacher had a temporary certificate. The other teacher is not certified at all. The new upcoming school year, none of the elementary teachers will certified. I know that many of the students who completed Kindergarten this 2014-2015 school year are struggling readers or cannot read at all.

The teachers are encouraged to give a homework packet, instead of giving homework daily. The advantage of this, is that students have their homework for the week, and can work on it at an individual pace. The disadvantage is that some students tend to do the homework packet in one day, and therefore do not benefit from daily practice or reinforcement of newly learned skills.

The quality of education at this school is lacking. The teachers are not the most qualified - especially in the core classes of math and english. My child experienced bullying at this school and the administration turned their head. They are more concerned with appearances and money than they are the children. There is so much favortism and clicks at this school - you will be disappointed if you child is not in "the group." We are in public school now and the quality of education and the teachers are so much better. Save your money.

I graduated from Seacoast in 2005. I attended from the 3rd grade on and I want to thank the teachers who prepared me for my future. I recently graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in International Business. I highly recommend Seacoast Christian Academy. Parents can rest assured that their kids are getting a great education with caring teachers.

My son will graduate this year from SCA. He has attended this school since the 6th grade, and he has become quite the scholar as a result of his gifted, qualified, and caring teachers. The school has provided him a safe haven, where he has grown into a responsible young man, with lots of friends who are good influences on each other. He has had some incredible teachers. In fact, some of his classwork has been on an upper university level, especially in the English department. I thank God for SCA, for the teachers and for the incredible Christian education my son is getting.

My child has attended Seacoast from Pre K and is currently in the 8th grade and will graduate from Seacoast. The programs and Teachers are top notch and I would not have my child in any other school. She has excelled without any of the influences found in public school having benefited from Seacoast's safe and nuturing environment. You have convenient online access to your childs teachers and grades through renweb. The school is secure with outer gates auto locking at the first bell with the only access after that being through the main office where you must be buzzed then signed in. The campus is neat, clean, and well maintained. The arts and dance programs are second to none. They have a championship winning Sports program with plans on building a new Gymnasium and Sports Complex. The teachers are all degreed and certified in their fields each having a diverse Christian background. They are ACSI acredited. The fees and tuition are reasonable. They even have an informative website as well as 3 facebook pages. My child is continually growing as a person there, is college bound, and because of Seacoast is poised to succeed in todays economy.
