Switching from CTE to PRE has truly been a blessing for our family. Our experience with the CTE program was stressful and felt more like a nightmare than a special education support system. In contrast, the team at PRE has been absolutely wonderful. They are collaborative, communicative, and genuinely dedicated to each childs growth.

You can feel how much they care and how hard they work to create an environment where kids can thrive. We are so grateful for the difference theyve made in our childs happiness and development. Highly recommend!

Es muy triste que una escuela que tenía tan buenas referencias haya ido en declive por tan mala administración.La principal es realmente inmoral, carace de valores y empatía , le falta al respeto a los estudiantes y a los padres , la importancia que le da a que nuestros hijos reciban de parte de la escuela el apoyo y herramientas que nuestros hijos necesitan para su desarrollo académico y personal es completamente nula y además de esto se refugia en su poder para señalar que el problema viene de las capacidades intelectuales de nuestros hijos TODO ES UN DESASTRE excepto el Policía que protege a la escuela que es tan humano y amable , y un par de profesores que si realmente se preocupan por hacer un buen trabajo en la formación de nuestros niño. tanto mal está , que la escuela está en riesgo de un cierre . Si usted está buscando una buena escuela para su hijo , honestamente Panther Run no es la opción ahórrese malos momentos para su hijo y usted .

When I first heard Panther Run Elementary might be at risk, I wasnt surprised. The decline began with the new administration. Under the previous principal, the school had structure and stability, but since the leadership change, everything has shifted in the wrong direction.

The current principal and assistant principal have made questionable staffing decisions, hiring people without the right background or classroom experience. In some cases, staff without any formal training in education have been placed in teaching roles, which is alarming for parents who expect qualified professionals leading their childrens classrooms.

Instead of focusing on students, the administration seems to prioritize convenience and personal connections. As a result, the school culture has eroded, and what was once a strong environment for learning now feels chaotic and poorly managed.

If you are considering Panther Run Elementary, I urge you to look at other schools with stronger leadership, qualified teachers, and a proven commitment to their students success.

Stay away. This school is not what it used to be. New principal has ruined this school. Morality is low thanks to the principals lack of professionalism. She loves gossiping about everyone, to everyone. And never mind standing up for yourself here. She will close your doors. She does not respect parents, teachers, or children. Disciplinary action is a joke in this place. You cannot imagine the amount of situations they brush under the rug just to save face. The only thing holding this place together are the teachers that care about what they do and the parent teacher association. You can have the best teacher in this school, yet administration will ruin the experience. The school district was useless as well when trying to report issues. Run far away from this place!

Panther Run is an excellent school! I am the parent of two students currently there. The school staff is extremely attentive to the needs of all students and their families. Under the leadership of the new principal the school moved up to an A rated school. This year a new Dual Language program (Spanish) has commenced starting with Kindergarten and First Grade. My youngest child is in the K Dual Language class. My oldest child has been involved in the STEM Explorers which is a club for students interested in learning more about Science Technology Engineering and Math. Family events are well organized, fun, and inclusive. Some of our favorite family events are Trunk-or-Treat, Cookies & Canvas, and the Multicultural Festival. Panther Run Elementary has been named a 2022-2024 National PTA School of Excellence. I highly recommend Panther Run Elementary!

Panther Run is an amazing school! Change is not always good, but it is necessary. The new Principal is acclimating and implementing a different approach to serve the evolving community and parents in the area. Instructionally, there are new teachers which has been refreshing in some cases. Love the experience I have had since 2013 to now (my 3 kids have gone through this school).

I have had children attend this school in the past (it was wonderful) and currently have two children there (not so good). Sadly, most of the great staff (principal, teachers, paras, office, and all areas of staff) have left this school over the past two years. A new Principal came in and everyone is leaving. The new one is nice, but communication and school leadership have changed so much (not for the better) with this new person. The number of students is much lower as well. Everyone is leaving. The new PTA has taken over the school and many programs and teacher-led events are now gone. I am saddened by this. This was an amazing school and it is barely mediocre anymore. It is a shame.

Panther Run is a great school with administrators who truly care about every student. They have been challenged by the "siphoning" of students by the excessive number of charter schools that have opened in the vicinity, many of whom will not accommodate students who need any type of accommodation. The school works hard to meet the unique needs of every child and creating a welcoming, respectful community that reflects the neighborhood.

Not sure how homework is handled with the upper grades, but there is homework in Kindergarten, which I wasn't thrilled about. I didn't find it to be overly burdensome and some days it was really just going through the motions. On the positive side, it did help us, as parents, stay connected and understand what he was working on in school. I think Kindergartners need more of a break for free time once they come home from a full school day, but I know a lot of parents expect/demand homework, so it was probably a decent balance.

My son just finished Kindergarten this year and it was an overall great experience. We were new to the area and coming from an area with a slightly (majorly) different approach to early childhood education and I was concerned with the "kindergarten is the new first grade" idea. I still wish there was more time for free play, recess, and fun hands-on enrichment during the class day, but overall, I think the teachers make the best of this new reality and my son came away enjoying school and feeling successful. I really can't ask for more than that for Kindergarten-- I was less concerned with his number of site words, and assessment scores (though he's fine there). My only real hope was that he would enjoy school, learn that working hard, being disciplined, asking questions, and working to find the answers could be a gratifying process. I wanted him to learn that school is a place full of loving, happy grown-ups that earn and deserve his respect and where he will be supported as a learner. He got that at Panther Run. Other highlights: Lots of opportunity for parent and family involvement, front office staff that is always happy to see you, a principal who is always present and buzzing with positive energy, teachers and support staff who seem happy and supported.

I went here from kindergarten to fifth grade and found it to be a loving and safe place to grow up in. When I was there, the state was going through massive budget cuts, but the staff always found a way to keep the students happy and engaged, despite the limitations. My experience here was amazing and I left the school with a family and good friends that I continue to talk to. The diversity here is incredible, you don't understand how great a situation it is until you go somewhere else, and the teachers are kind and know what they're talking about. I would rate it a 10/10. PIF-WIAMAD!

II have three kids at Panther Run, one now turning to Middle. The principal, Ms Saef, is a great great person and is always available. She can always be seen in the halls and students love her. The school staff really cares about the kids, it is well organised and seems like a big family. My kids are very happy!!

I can't say enough good things about the school. I have two kids and one is still at this school in third grade. My older one already moved on to middle school. The faculty is magnificent with the kids. They all care and seem to love the school and it shows in how they interact with the students. As I noticed and have been a part of it the Autism cluster classes and those teachers eagerness to help them reach their full potential. They make sure that every child is involved and gets to experience all the activities with the rest of the school. The community involvement is great. They instill good moral and social practice in the children. I particularly like the "Pay It Forward" attitude. They are also very into the environment and recycling. Another great thing that they teach the students is the care of animals. They call it "Paw It Forward" where they collect to give to the local animal shelter. We love Panther Run Elementary! My children have been accepted to several area charter schools, but we turned them all down in favor of Panther Run. The principal, Ms. Saef, is amazing. She truly cares about her staff, the students, and the school. I would recommend this school to anyone!

I love Panther Run Elementary. The teachers are very well qualified and caring for the children like a big family. My son is very happy abouth Panther Run Elem. but this year he will be starting middle school, I am sure he will miss all of the teachers there.

Can anyone tell me what the parking and drop-off time is like at Panther Run on 172nd? I am looking to transfer my daughter to this school since I have heard so many great things about it. It currently takes me about 45 minutes to drop my daughter off due to lack of parking and drive-through space at her new school.

This is my 4th year at Panther Run, and every year goes by, just exactly the same as the one before. Nothing feels special anymore. Just the same script read over and over. Administrative people and teachers are very nice, however they're just trained to repeat the same script every year. I am sure Many parents could support economically the school for better enrichment activities, art and music events where every kid in the school could be involved, not just the one or 2 lucky ones per class that get to be in the end of the year presentation. This neighborhood is great and deserves that Panther Run have more innovative activities. They have great facilities and auditorium, just missing a leader to implement change to take advantage of all of what they have. I am posting this in hope that comments like these make the school principal realize there's a lot that can be done. Panther Run have great people working there, but change is being for long needed.

Panther Run is the best school in Broward County. The entire staff is excellent. The kids are nurtured and loved. The school environment is very welcoming. This school is so awesome. I highly recommend this school.

My son has attended Panther Run since kindergarten and is now in the 5th grade. It is an amazing school with truly caring teachers and a challenging curriculum. The Principal, Ms. Saef, genuinely cares about her students and is always available. She can always be seen in the halls interacting with students and is always available to talk to parents, with no appointment needed. Even though our schools have faced severe budget cuts over the years, this school strives to continue to provide more, with less. There are clubs, extra reading and math programs, special events for the students and family nights. This school provides much more than just the basics. My son has had great teachers, who really seemed to love their jobs and their students. They strive to challenge each child to reach their full potential. This year, my son's teacher told us that she was always available to us and then really proved it when she gave the entire class her home phone number. Parental involvement and volunteerism is encouraged at this school, which creates a family-like atmosphere. This is a wonderful school with great leadership, caring teachers and a fun, yet challenging atmosphere.

Compared to my daughter's previous school, Panther Run is average, at best. Some of the fifth grade teachers are not very imaginative in the way they present the material to make it more interesting. They are given the basics, but litle effort is made to go beyond that. Much of the information taught, my daughter had already learned one to two years ago. I had heard that this was a great school, but it does not live up to expectations. Also, there are many county and state-wide contests that the school can be involved in for the benefit of their students that they do not take advantage of:( In response to most recent comment, teachers can be very creative and provide advanced education on a limited budget (speaking from experience). This is the challenge presented to all teachers across the US. I am sure there are great teachers in Panther Run but my teacher comments are related to those I have personally encountered. Additionally, I did not state that Panther Run does not participate in ANY state/county contests but that there are many more that they COULD BE involved in. And...YES...these options have been discussed with teachers and other appropriate individuals.

My son attended Panther Run from Kindergarten through 5th Grade last year, and I have to disagree with the review that said Panther Run is average because their teachers aren't creative and they don't partake in county or state-wide contests. All of the teachers, particulrly 3rd through 5th Grade's, challenge the students with monthly projects that encourage research and creativity. As far as being given the basics but not going far beyond that, if there is any validity to that, then it is because of the school's and teachers' limited teaching resources due to the strangling budget cuts. Regarding State and county contests, this simply is not true-- Panther Run's students participate annually in the PTA Reflections program (we actually had several county- and state-wide winners this year!), we have a Math Club who competes, and we participate in Accelerated Reader and Math Superstars. I would like to challenge any parent who wishes to criticise what their school 'doesn't' have, to GET INVOLVED and try bringing that program or event to your school! Did you even try bringing more county- or state-wide programs to Panther Run?? I seriously doubt it.
