My son has grown academically and emotionally since attending this school. The teachers are caring, supportive, and truly encourage students to do their best. Communication with families has been good, and the school maintains a safe and structured environment for learning.

One thing I especially appreciate is the strong academic focus. My son recently scored above the state and county averages on his FAST exams, and I truly believe the school’s dedication and high expectations played an important role in that success.

Former student here (6th-8th), this school and high school contributed to one of the darkest times in my life. The constant discrimination from the students AND teachers altered my view on people, and impacted me in a negative way years later. I will never forgive anyone for the racism, disrespect, and trauma they gave me. The teachers were too worried about being friends with the “cool” kids and enjoyed gossiping. I would never bring my child to this school if it was the last school on earth.

The words are not enough. I notice all the teachers, principal, and every staff member are putting a lot of effort into a lot of things. Today, for the first time, I got a chance to go to his class and was surprised to see how well his classroom & library was organized. I really can't thank the teachers and principal enough for making this school so perfect. The organization of the library reflects their commitment to providing a conducive learning environment. It's evident that the teachers and principal prioritize the students' education. The effort they put into every aspect of the school is truly commendable.
I am truly impressed by the dedication and hard work of the school staff. From a happy father whose child is Student of the Month

My kids came to this school after a horrible year at another local school. The difference is night and day. Bullying and violence is handled swiftly. If you call with a concern for a child, they care from the top down. They could work on loosening their grip on letting kids make up work. But I know they’ve got their futures in mind.

I would rate my expierence at this school a 10/10. I really love being at bayhaven everyone is so sweet and kind, no one judges anyone, they want you to do your best, they dont pressure you with alot. I could come up with a million reasons why I rate bayhaven a 10/10.

For the first two years the teacher were more experienced and understanding that kids learn differently....however my son is in second grade and his teacher is not as seasoned as others and he has struggled majority if the year. A lot of his assignments are marked wrong when in fact the correct answer was put. I feel that as an educator if a child answers a question on paper and mayne put it in the wrong format...ask the child to verbally give you the answer...bc clearly they understand the concept...just may have trouble putting it to paper!

The admin and para staff are more consumed with the brand label the kids are wearing than they are with the education and overall well being. My child has literally developed a complex over his uniform due to constantly being singled out, made to change clothes (bc obvious his weren't good enough), and told he was wearing girl pants when in favt they were boys pants...since his kindergarten year. This year has totally taken the cake as they harassed my child and called him out made him go into the bathroom and read them the label of his pants! Mind you he had on school uniform khaki pants...he's worn the pants all year...but 4 weeks prior to summer vacay...he was sent to the office were he sat doing nothing for 2hrs bc of the LABEL on his pants! The second day as soon as he entered his classroom his teacher makes him go to the bathroom and tell her what his label reads...mind you she has NEVER had an issue with his uniform pants!...he is then sent to the office and they take him to ISS (2nd grader) because on this day his pants are the "wrong material" He was wearing flat front twill khaki uniform pants! When I went to the school to speak with admin I took several pairs of his pants from home and asked them to look at the pants and tell me which ones are acceptable...the CEO refused to do it and the principal could only do it IF she looked inside and read the label! Which indicates that you can't simply just loomat a pair of uniform khaki pants and determine the brand! Futhermore a public school (charter included) CAN NOT discriminate and tell parents they can only.purchase a particular brand of clothing!

Middle school 6-8: Small town/family feel; high expectations and great results for children who are college track. Inspirational impact on disadvantaged students who aspire to succeed. Students with low scores, IEP, 504... learn reading and math and many get caught up. The high school: NBH offers clean, Christian atmosphere, talented teachers so students feel and are ready to make the most of their next steps - college/career life.

Grades K-4 I would give all most 5 stars..... but 5th grade has not been a positive year. Teacher is totally TEST centered with little student empathy. , homework exceeds 1 1/2 hours nightly... Parent involvement, so welcome in K-4, in now viewed as a nuisance. "My way or the highway" attitude is apparent.

I have 30 years of public education experience Sadly, and with huge disappointment, I understand what so many parents warned us about for 5th grade. I only hope that having this type of experience will only make my child stronger and better equipped to deal with difficult people in the future.

5th grade over an hour and a half per night average.... K-4... about right..... THey indicate they're getting them ready for middle school, more like getting them tired of school

North Bay Haven Charter Academy is a well-rounded, futuristic preparatory campus that is preparing my student for a medical career while allowing other areas of interest to be fostered. And the new campus is coming along well. Kudos!

This school has been the best experience ever. My children are encouraged to do their best all the time. They are surrounded by other children with good manners and a good attitude to learn. The school is clean and up to date. I can't say anything negative about this school. I love it and my children love it.

My grandson started kindergarten this year. He loves this school and his teacher. He is learning so much in so little time. His favorite subject is art. I also love this school because the whole staff works together as a team to make sure the children get the education and support, they need. My grandson is learning social skills, which will take him far in life. This school not only has a great cheerful staff , but the parents are supportive of all the children not just their own. United we stand divided we fall should be one of the motto's for this school. .

Bay Haven is an outstanding school. The teachers and adminstrators are excellent and geninuely care about their students and their success. They encourage the students to do their very best and the students strive to be successful. High expectation, high achievement! This is evident from the success of the students as well as the school. However, parental involvement is also a key contributor of the students success. It definitely is a partnership and should be! One could not ask for a better education for their children. Top notch curriculum for the students. I have a 4th grader there and have had other children attend Bay Haven as well. Parent/teacher communication is paramount and does exist. Teachers utilize various tools of communication to ensure parents are aware of their child's progress. First Class Education! Thanks Dr. Kitts for the vision and implementing it!

I have two sons currently in 2nd and 3rd grade at Bay Haven. Having grown up in a foreign country and gone to an excellent private Catholic school all through high school, I am happy to see my children in a similar educational environment where they are constantly challenged and pushed. The teachers we've had so far have been terrific. They preach a balance of strict compliance and positive encouragement. Bay Haven is run more like a private school but with greater diversity. My only worry is that school expansion could signal compromising the high academic and learning standards. Bay Haven is a big reason we have chosen to live in Panama City.

Bay Haven Charter Academy is an OVERRATED school. My child is currently in the 1st grade and does well academically, however, everything she learns is in preparation for the FCAT. I am already looking into homeschooling my child for next year. If you are a parent looking for an education that extends beyond the FCAT and want to see your child become their own individual then please do not buy into their hype.
