Terrible school. The worst math department and administration out there. If you went to the academic village and got in trouble at the middle school they will tell the high school and the rest of your high school experience is ruined. So do not go into the academic village for middle school go to west campus and central. The administration at the AV is also terrible. Please save ur time and go to west or central campus

The experiences I’ve had and memories I’ve made at this school will forever be the most depressingly bleak of my life. Although I’ve since graduated, the memory of attending this school, day after day, year after year, have irreparably killed not only my curiosity and passion for learning, but my very spirit. Four years spent drifting through those listless halls, all for the beyond mediocre classes and educators. Don’t attend this school if you still have any passion for life whatsoever. At the closing of those four years- you won’t.

I am beyond pleased with the leadership and administration in this school from the middle and high school departments. All have proven to be helpful, courteous, professional and communicate effectively with parents and students on a continuous basis.

I believe the homework is excessive. These children should be able to happily participate in outside extracurricular activities without having to go to bed so late doing homework, projects, etc.

I have two daughters attending the middle school (6th & 8th grade). They have excelled and are beyond happy with their experience in the school. Principal & AP's know all students by name, happily greet them on a daily basis and show they genuinely care about our students' overall success. I am very pleased with their accomplishments and feel the school has provided them with the opportunities, resources and guidance to flourish thus far.

I have a child that attends the Academic Village which recently opened up in 2014. I feel that if your child is not into the arts such as Art/music/band and other extra curricular activities, you will NOT get this here at this campus. It is strictly academics. Also, transportation is pretty much non-existent if you don't live within a certain radius of the school in order to receive bus services. Even private transportation services do not service this school. Also, if you score at least a 4 or 5 on your FSA scores they'll be fine since it caters to students who only score this high. If your child scores anything below, you can forget about another enriching electives that your child would like to take. Which brings me to another elective Yearbook. Yearbook sales ads are tied to grades. So if your child does not sell a $175 ad to businesses for the yearbook, they will lose 25% of their grade. There are several students who now have an F in that class and are not able to go on their 8th grade field trip due to the fact that they did not sell those ads. Oh and one more thing, if you are a working parent, you will not be able to meet with teachers after 3:15 pm. It's a pretty inflexible institution when it comes to meeting with teachers. My daughter is not happy with this school and neither am I. Save your time with applying to the West campus for Middle School.

I remembered when my son was four years old he pointed at new FSU campus and said MOM I like that orange school. In 2004 I put my application and I received a letter to come in for testing. When I walked into the school, I felt at home because everyone was very professional and nice. All the teachers from FSU elementary, West middle and High school are great. My three children are in the Charter system and they love it. Keep up the good work.

This school system is amazing. I've grown up in this system and I'm so glad my parents kept me here. I'm going in to 10th grade and I'm excited to deal with the newest program at the school, the Cambridge Program. The acceptance of this program is just another example of how our school system is always working to improve our education and chances of success. I'm proud to be a Charter kid.

THIS IS AN AMAZING HIGH SCHOOL! Of course the administration enforces rules like any other high school, but they expect the students to have a mature mindset and to stay out of trouble. The school has a very comfortable and diverse environment, which is perfect for a high school student. The teachers are very well trained and represent the school in a productive way. Also, this is school as some of the most advanced technology available, in my opinion. Overall, this is a really good high school and any parent that would like to see their child succeed, please consider PPCHS.

Safe School. Generally good teachers. Great Principal. This school seems to hold the "golden" standard and they claim to be a "college prep school". I can tell you that this is not the case. They took out alot of interesting and great electives that kept students motivated and intrigued and replaced them with FCAT prep courses so that students could score higher on the FCAT to graduate high school. During my experience here, the school offered a SAT prep class senior year for one semester and it was only available on a first come first serve basis. Therefore many students were saddened that they were not able to take this class and had to look else where and paid for outside courses and classes with help for the SAT. It seems that this school is more focused on training students for their FCAT tests and getting them to graduate high school then focusing and preparing their students for college for much more important tests such as SAT and ACT. Please consider taking your child to another school in the area that has more college preparatory classes and programs to choose from. This school is definitely overrated. Your child will definitely get more out of another school.

I worked as a permanent sub for the City of Pembroke Pines Charter Schools and loved it - from 2003 - 2004 - almost a year and a half - I got to teach in all of the middle schools and in the highschool and just really enjoyed teaching for them. I taught in every subject area as a sub with emergency lessons from the class teachers - and threre were several rather long stints where I ended up being assigned in my own areas (English/Social Studies/Reading) I have applied several times to work full time (but not since 2007 - I am full time and a Dept. Head - in another school) but always ended up on a waiting list for positions. This is a good school system. They are fair with their employees - and this is the one charter in South Florida I would be happy to workagain.
