We fell in love with Parkway Christian School when our oldest started in preschool. The teachers were so sweet, welcoming, and made school feel like home. Now, with two children in upper and lower elementary, it’s such a joy to see how happy they are to come to school each day. They truly love being here and even dislike missing a single day. We’ve watched them grow in confidence and learn so many new skills, and we’re so grateful for the caring environment and strong foundation Parkway provides.

Having had all three of our children attend this wonderful school from Pre-K through 8th grade, I can confidently say it has been one of the greatest blessings in our family’s life. From the very first day, we were welcomed into a caring, loving environment that truly feels like family.

The teachers and staff pour their hearts into every child — not just academically, but spiritually and emotionally as well. They nurture each student’s growth, encourage strong character, and model Christ’s love in everything they do. Our kids not only received an excellent education but also learned the importance of kindness, integrity, and faith in everyday life.

We are so grateful for the community we’ve found here. This school has been a home away from home — a place where our children were known, loved, and supported every step of the way. We couldn’t have asked for a better foundation for their future!

Our experience with Parkway Christian School has been deeply upsetting. Despite its Christian branding, we found no example of true Christian values such as kindness, compassion, or fairness. My child was discriminated against by a teacher, and instead of addressing the issue properly, the school seemed to protect only those within their inner circle. This treatment led to emotional harm. We had to seek speech therapy for our child because of the lasting impact.

Adding to the frustration, the school has disabled public reviews on Google, which I believe is an intentional effort to prevent parents from sharing honest feedback. This raises serious questions about transparency and accountability. Parents deserve to know what they’re walking into before enrolling their children.

My husband and I researched several faith-based schools in the area, and our 2 children were accepted to each one that we applied to. We chose Parkway Christian school because of the amazing, caring, diverse staff at both the church and the school. Our children are THRIVING academically and spiritually--our only regret is not choosing Parkway sooner!!

I love Parkway! Both of my kids are in the school, one elementary and one preschool. It is such a welcoming group with a high priority on not just academics but whole child development. This is where you go when you want your kids to know how to do life better and be good at relationships not just be drilled with intensity and pressure on being the smartest.

I have 2 boys. And before I decided to enroll them in any school, I did alot of research and countless tours. When I toured Parkway Christian Schools, I just knew that this was the place for us. Its been 7 years now, and I have no regrets. My boys are happy, thriving, safe and they feel loved. I would highly recommend this school!!

Teaching is ok, staff is extremely judgmental, nosy and very strict. Staff loves to gossip about kids and families, then call their school a “loving environment.” Teachers don’t care when racism occurs in class.

If you aren’t a part of the VPK program and are not gifted in someway they will reject you for kindergarten. Their evaluation takes place away from the parents and they do not give the evaluation information. Basically an interview with your kid and then a rejection based on whatever their values are. I am just glad my child was not excepted. They used his speech as an excuse when I know it’s more than that. Move on and think of another option.

I am in love with the school. My kids love going to school, they are always happy when I pick them up. The teachers are loving and caring. The tight community of parents and educators makes it feel like a very special place. They provide a lot of resources for kids to learn and optional additional work, which I love.
Very happy with the school.

This is a great school and the staff is friendly and professional. We liked the school but our daughter just did not click with it. She developed anxiety and her hands would be clammy and cold every morning at drop off. She would cry every day and was just not happy there. Her teacher and the director and Ms Lucas were wonderful, loving and patient with her. We ultimately decided to switch her and she is now happy at the assigned school for us. Sometimes the school is great and parents might be happy but it may not be a match for the kid and I am glad we listened to our child's way of telling us this school was not a good fit for her. Parkway understood and made the transition easy and smooth. We appreciate that very much and wish nothing but the best for this school and the staff.

A+, The church and the school interact beautifully, and we could not be happier with our choice in a faith based education

Posted: December 15, 2017

I see that the school works hard at their curriculum and building teams for each grade. Each grade builds together so that every year is a building block for the next. Christ, character, academics woven together to make a model student for our future.

Homework is age appropriate. Spelling, math, and writing in the early years. Projects that prepare for Middle School and then Middle School prepares for High School.

We have been a member of the Parkway Family for many years. Our oldest graduated from Parkway to Archbishop McCarthy high school. She is in the honors program and is successful in all the endeavors she encounters. I am pleased with how Parkway has prepared her for what comes next. We see the same results with our seventh grade son. We know he is heading for the same success.

We are very pleased with our decision to have our daughter attend Parkway. The teachers and administrative staff are fantastic. They are truly committed to education and encourage high academic standards. A special mention must be made for her Math teacher Mrs. Linne. What a fantastic and thorough teaching methodology implemented! She is truly dedicated, compassionate and encourages children in a positive manner to learn. Other special mentions include Mrs. Koski, Mrs. Lucas and Ms. Garcia. As administrators they are truly committed to their students and guide them effectively on a consistent basis. Looking forward to another year at Parkway!!!

I am not only a parent, but a public school teacher and I made the decision to put my five year old at Parkway. I don't like how common core is being implemented and I don't like the enormous amount of testing that is happening in Florida. Putting my baby at Parkway has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. She leaves school everyday happy. That to me is priceless. The curriculum is rigorous and well balanced. It is December and my daughter can read!!! The faculty and staff is caring and loving. They all know her by name, even Mrs.Donna, who works in the cafeteria looks out for her well being. I know that my daughter will walk out of Kindergarten with a firm foundation in general academics as well as music, science, technology and morals. The schools is affordable compared to other schools I looked at. They are not always asking for money, like some other schools. The money that is given you can see goes directly to the school. I would love to see this school become at high school at some point. I believe that the combination of academics and morals taught, not just in class, but exhibited by the faculty will help mold my daughter into the lady I know she will be.

My school is excellent. It is a Bless in our son life. We only can share positives things about the school .

Posted: January 17, 2014

I had attended this school from 7th and 8th grade and let me tell you that the staff was anything BUT welcoming. if you haven't been going there since you were younger, forget about being treated as equal as the other kids at that school. the punishments that I would receive were quite radical compared to other students in the school who had committed the same crime. the staff treats it's students like "family", but I don't know how good that can be. they were always in my business and wouldn't leave me alone as if they personally knew me, I didn't feel comfortable with the administrator asking me about my "love life" as if she was my aunt or something. the point of the matter is, is that everything is taken to the extreme at this school, the staff (not including some of the teachers) can favorite kids and it's noticeable and brings the child down, heck, I would know. oh, and if your child is a little different and has their own sense of style, don't bother sending them here unless you want your kid to be antagonized for being original.

My children have attended Parkway since 2007. My older daughter has since graduated from Parkway and was accepted at Archbishop McCarthy High School, where she is a senior now. My younger daughter is in middle school. We love the small class sizes and fantastic learning environment. They have expanded their technology use by allowing the students to use Ipads and Kindles for books, notes, research, which is great as they can access their school books as ebooks and not have to carry huge, heavy backpacks. The staff is amazing and very responsive to any questions or concerns at any time. We searched many schools before we made our decision and would highly recommend Parkway from Preschool all the way to 8th grade.

To reply to the May 24, 2013 post. I guess when the school had their little "Open House", twenty two people logged n and rated the school on this site? What did they hand out the website address to everybody? The administration played favorites while my children were there and I'll bet they still do. The "Do as I say not as I do" philosophy has no place in a Christian environment. The school is supposed to be non-denominational but leans in a very specific direction. I want my children to know they should treat everyone how they want to be treated at all times, not just when they feel like it or it benefits them. What good is an open door policy when they don't really listen to you or do what they want regardless of what you've said. The school is average for academics but not what we were expecting for spiritual education.

This post is to address the one posted on March 27, 2013. The school held a school wide event (preschool, elementary and middle school on February 14, 2013 where students and parents had the option to express their love and appreciation for the school or visit with Adminstrators on the spot to express concerns. Not one person had anything negative to say and the support for the school was strong. The staff has always had an open doir policy and continues to improve the program while inviting parents and students to be a part of the process.

This school has been nothing but dedicated to the success of its students. The staff goes above and beyond in all that they do. The mission of the school is sound and delivered. The staff follows through on their commitments to the families. Way to go!

22 five star reviews all on February 14, 2013. the next newest is January 2013 and then March 2012. It appears that someone is padding the stats to falsely increase the community ratings of the school. That should speak volumes about this school. My children have been gone from Parkway and have realized just how bad the issues were/are.

My family has been at parkway Christian school for nine years. This year my son graduates the eighth grade. The education and moral values that he has received is priceless! If I did not have another child continuing in this school I would be heartbroken. I have no doubt that my children are not only being prepared to enter into competitive high schools and college, but also have grown as Christian young adults that I am so proud of!

Posted: February 13, 2013

This school is amazing!!! My girls have received a quality education as well as a great foundation in Christian principles.

Posted: February 13, 2013

This school is not only a strong educational instruction ,but has guided my children emotionally with a Christian base. Our family has had several children at this school. This school has become almost part of our family!

Posted: February 13, 2013

I am a student here at parkway and I love it. I changed schools in fourth grade. This was the first school I toured and I said to my mom this is the school I want to go to. The main thing I love about parkway is the teachers. They always find fun ways to help you learn. My teacher will always give us some crazy word on our spelling test as a bonus word . I love parkway the best school ever.

PCS is a warm and caring school that my daughter loves attending. The teachers are very understanding and administration always communicates with us. We are so blessed to have found Parkway Christian!!!

Posted: February 13, 2013

This school is great! I love how we get out 2 weeks earlier than public school and our teachers are great they are not boring like other teachers, they are fun and they teach very well. Our athletic department is amazing. I highly recommend this school for middle school

We researched many schools before choosing Parkway. This school was the most well rounded. The kids are learning in a very loving and nurturing environment. The small class sizes allow for more specialized attention to the kids. My child loves it here.

My family has truly been blessed to have found Parkway Christian School. It is a loving, caring and safe environment. The benchmarks that have been set for Parkway far succeed other private schools in the area. When choosing a school you must look at the complete package. As a former educator, I can't say enough about the curriculum at Parkway. I also love the character traits that are taught at Parkway. They strive for the well rounded student. My two daughters began their education at Parkway starting in Pre-K3. They continue their education one in middle school and one in fourth grade. Life at Parkway is a fabulous place to be. It is the complete package.

Posted: February 13, 2013

Parkway is an excellent school, providing the students with high quality education in a nurturing environment. I transferred my children from a highly rated public school, and I could not be happier with my decision.

Posted: February 13, 2013

We have 2 children at PCS which started in grade 7 and 4. Our 8th grader has always achieved in grades and sports but wasn't challenged until PCS. She has been involved in volleyball, basketball, and soccer. I feel the school taught her how to study and learn the material which has prepared her for high school. Because of PCS, our 8th grader was accepted into the advanced High School academic programs. My 5th grader is thriving at PCS. The teachers are the main reason why he is doing so well. They are very loving and patient, but require your best and get it! He is achieving and absolutely loves going to school. The school offers a music program and opportunities to preform on stage, which most kids take advantage of. Lastly, PCS has taught my kids how to pray and have a relationship with Jesus, versus memories a prayer. Parkway has been a blessing to our family. We only wish we started at PCS in PreK.

Parkway Christian School should be your first choice for your child's education. It provides an excellent education. But more importantly, it provides a loving, nurturing, family-type environment which encourages learning.

Posted: February 13, 2013

Parkway Christian School is a loving, caring and nurturing school. The curriculum is exceptional and the staff is wonderful! I love the bible curriculum and chapel message each week is uplifting! Parkway is more than a school it's a family.

This school is awesome, the staff is very caring, and loving. I would recommend this school to anyone.

Posted: February 13, 2013

I love this school. I feel so good about it. Excellent teachers and academic programs. The facilities are new and growing every year. Specials offered in Spanish, scienence lab, music, PE, art, media, and chapel add to the program. I love the emphasis on building good character in all students. It really feels like family here.

Posted: February 13, 2013

The teachers at this school are amazing with their love and patience for the children. They truly care and instill values and structure in their students's lives.

Posted: February 13, 2013

I have 3 children currently at Parkway Christian. The academics is like no other. The principal is the most dedicated individual I have ever seen in a school system. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a higher standard in academics, while keeping the teacher dedication to the students personal growth.

Posted: February 13, 2013

Parkway Christian School is an awesome school from Kindergarten to eight grade. The teachers here are amazing and the curriculum is fantastic. My daughter is a first grader and reads at a much higher level and this is all because of the teachers and their dedication. The atmosphere is very family friendly, teachers and staff know all the children by name. I love this school and would recommend to all my friends and family that wants their child or children to have a structured education with a family oriented atmosphere.

We're new to the school - we moved and had to start mid-year. My kids are in Pre-Kinder (what they call Kindergarten Prep) and 1st Grade. Their teachers really made them feel welcome, and they adapted very quickly. We moved from another country, so I was expecting it to be much harder for them with so many changes at once and having to go to a class where everyone already knew each other and had been together one semester already. But, from day one, they felt comfortable at their new school. Also, I felt very welcome from the first phone conversation while researching schools. They really took the time to tell me all the details about their school and why they think it's great. I really like the small school feel, small class sizes - there are 10 in Kindergarten Prep, and 16 in my daughter's 1st Grade class, and opportunities for parent involvement. After 6 weeks here, I have a very good impression of this school. It is a blessing for us to be here.

Posted: February 13, 2013

I recently changed my 3rd grade child from public to this wonderful private school. I continue to be impressed the with high level of academics, Christian values, and friendly, competent staff. We were worried about making such a big change, but this school went out of it's way to make our child and family feel very welcome and informed.

Posted: February 13, 2013

Great school, loving and caring teachers, our fourth year at Parkway and we wouldn't trade it for anything , it is truly a blessing to have them as our extended family.

Posted: January 23, 2013

We chose Parkway Christian Schools to educate our 2 children after researching the schools in our area. Before deciding on private education, we sent our oldest to kindergarten at our public school. It was decided by the end of that year we needed to find a place that was better suited for our family values as well as offering a good well-rounded education. Parkway Christian Schools fit every criteria. We have been at the school now for 5 years. Both kids are doing very well. Looking ahead to middle school, we are confident that our oldest will get the skills needed to enter honors classes in high school. I'm so thankful we have a small school with teachers and faculty who know our family and care about what they are teaching these kids.

I have to say that I was shocked to see negative comments regarding this school. All three of my children attend the school and attended the preschool. The rules are fair and layed out in advance. Parents and students are required to read the handbook ahead of time and agree to abide by the rules. This school does an amazing job of teaching students to be accountable for the work, attitude and actions. Students are encourage and built up. Amazing!!!

Posted: March 11, 2012

Great school. A little small. Still I am very happy with my kids behavior and the basis and principles they are learning there. It is hard for my to pay private school but after four years I can see the results and it is worthly.
