I had to transfer my 2 sons to the schoolbecause i moved. this school needs better supervision on the student the to worry about the rating and test score my oldest is bullied every day in front of teachers security. Nothing is ever done. i draw the line when my son was sexually harrassed by another older child. When i approched the principle she turned around and left. She wanted no part of my complain when a counceler finally showed up she told me she would a dress the situation and get back to me by end of day mrs. floyed did not i took 3 months and olny because my son again had been bullied and money stole from him . so when mrs. floyed said she would take care of it I told her yeah like the sexual harrassment problem she tryed to pawned itt off on my son and i told her NO YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO GET BACK TO ME NOT MY SON IT NOT HIS JOB

This is only my sons second year at Florida City Elementary. We transfered from a local school in the area. Compared to last year (2010-2011) the school has definitely made improvements. There are a lot of fresh faces around the school and they seem to take pride in our children. My sons enjoy going to school now. I have personally seen less fighting and screaming in the halls. Unfortunately, the parent support isn't great, but there are a few like me who care about the school. I hope this school continues to strive in educating our youth.
