The principal is a bully, she is not a good representative of the school and she bullies her staff. The CEO does not care about the student or teachers. DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL!

I went to this school for 4 years and they were the worst of my school years left in 2023 but when I went the students there were ruthless and I constantly got bullied and the school did nothing to stop it but to be fair there were some good teachers as well as some bad ones parents if you are considering this school please don’t enroll your kid in this school personally I had a horrible experience

It need to expand and better their building. They need to enclose the building for children safety.

So far teachers are friendly and good environment. Clean place and nice faculty. Easy to acces and always have an open door policy.

They are very informative and helpful. My son likes this school and their activities. The teachers ar very nice and the staff is super helpful.

you do have some teachers that care and try hard. Many are just frustrated and simply go through the motions watching the clock wind down.

They copy stuff off the internet ( from learning programs and such) and hand it to your kids. Telling an elementary kid where to go to find that info goes in one ear and out the other within 5 minutes. Then they struggle all night, even with a parents help, to find the answers. They might as well copy a paper and say, " here you go, figure it out yourself!"

This school doesn't care about your kids, they only care about the money it generates per kid enrolled. The principal is arrogant, the staff is rude and the teachers act as if everything is your fault instead of blaming themselves for they're failures to teach!
I truly regret having my child stay here for a year and having heard the many complaints he had about the school. Take my advice and skip this place, drive a mile or 2 extra to put your child into a better school! You'll have peace of mind and a better environment for your child!

Well, the elementary school has a long way to go, but it's certainly much better than anything else in the area. I think that's part of the issue. I wouldn't dream of putting my kids here, however, I recommend it to other families who don't have the option of driving their kids to better schools because the other options in Fl City are downright scary. I only know the Kindergarten teachers and I must say that they're pretty good. Can't comment about the others because I don't know. Classrooms are WAY too small (closet-sized) and the lack of a library is another strike.

The only good thing that came out of this school is Ms.Faria (Kindergarten teacher). The rest of the staff is rude and unwilling to help without interrupting you while you speak and assume they know what you're going to ask. There is no gym or library and promote "excellence". I was not provided a calendar to know in advance when they will have early release, no school or even the last day of school since they don't run with Miami Dade public schools schedule. The best decision I will ever make regarding my child's education is removing him from this school. Luckily our time was only wasted on kindergarten. Parents please choose an alternate school for your child if you are seeking true excellence for your child.

Yo no recomiendo esta escuela ya que no tienen ni tan siquiera un gimnasio o biblioteca para los estudiantes, desde que se abri la nueva escuela secundaria no le prestan atenci n a la elemental, la comida que le sirven a los estudiantes siempre esta fr a y sin sabor, y las porciones parecen para ni os de day care, y ni que decir de ese numero 3 que tienen por rating da pena. Esta escuela no sirve, actualmente desgraciadamente tengo a mi hijo ahi pero estoy como loco buscando para ponerlo en otra escuela que por lo menos se pueda llamar escuela y no como esta MIAMI COMMUNITY CHARTER SCHOOL que parece una casa en la cual dan clases y nada mas, ya que aqu ni tan siquiera dan paseos o clubs o cosas de inter s para los estudiantes. Por favor esta escuela no sirve .

Es una institucion que agrada a la vista en cuanto llegas. La limpieza.y el cuidado de las areas es digno de elogios. El trato afable del personal, las ganas de ayudar y la.disposicion para que padres y alumnos nos sintamos.bien, merece un agradecimiento eterno. Me alegro de que.mi hijo este en esa escuela. La recomiendo totalmente.

Miami Community Charter School is one of the worst excuses for a school that I've ever seen! This school not only lacks in things like an auditorium or gym like most normal schools would have but it has about 30 classrooms only, for about 300 students, no library, doesn't offer a set of books for each student, has disgusting ridiculous portioned sized meals, and a conceited principle which only worries about the outside appearance of the school. The school also has some of the most ridiculous "field trips" such as to the local park, "Fasulo Park" as entertainment.They also have half of the elementary in trailers! The staff only cares about the Senior classroom and the eigthgraders were paid no attention to, they had NO fieldtrips at all , they also didn't go to Universal or Walt Disney like any school in the state of Florida did! It has overpriced "dances" at about $20 for about 3 hours. If you care about your child's happiness and education I would suggest not to enroll him/her here.

It is a teeny tiny school trying to cram so many "advanced programs" into a school with about 15 classrooms. NO GYM OR AUDITORIUM OR LIBRARY. HORRIBLE LUNCH! They have money for new laptops and floor waxing but no money for a decent and bigger portion sized lunch? The principal only cares for the way the school looks not how it is run. My daughter complains to me about how her friend from another school has taken a fieldtrip or is having a dance. What has she had? Nothing! Not one field trip or a dance. Their summer work costs money ! Why pay to do work? Over summer?! This school is horrendous. I say the only decent thing would have to be SOME of the teachers who happen to care about SOME of the students. I really do hope a new principal is put in charge. I am looking forward to the improvements this school can make. IT NEEDS IMPROVEMENT.

MY CHILDREN ARE STUDENTS OF THIS SCHOOL, THEY ARE DOING VERY WELL. THE ONLY MATTER I MYSELF THINK THAT THE KIDS SHOULD BE STARTED FOREIGN LANGUAGE EARLIER.

The school cheats on the FCAT, has no discipline plan, and an uncaring principle who cares more about making the school look good than actually having it be good.

Miami Community Charter School is a great school. Its teachers are great with the kids and really go out of their way to help and incourage the students that need that extra little push. My only complain would have to be that, not enough parents get involved in school activities.

Oddly, a great comment will always follow a complaint. It's just the way things work. No school is perfect, that is a definite. As with any school do your homework as a parent. And unfortunately each school will meet each individual parents needs in it's own ways. Third grade isn't perfect either, nor is their lesson plan but after a year I am trying to make my child feel accomodated. I just do not want to be changing her schools in a short periodo of time. Hang in there those of you who are frustrated, at first I think all parent were thrown off by the book and library issue especially if coming from another public school. I too thought that charters were the best thing in the world, and it id true that you can see where the corners are being cut, but I try not to let it influence my child and as long as my child is being treated fairly by her teacher then I am happy, the other things will get beter Ther are working better but we are still a C school. Gateway is an A and I think Waterstone and Keys Gate are A's but they work on a lottery where as this school is accepting everyone. The school has grown in the last year alot more kids. I just hope they do not overcrowd

My son Evan started attending this school since the 2nd grade & he's in 5th now. I'm very happy with this school. The staff is very nice and they know and care about all of the kids. I love that every time I call the office they know my son on a first name basis. These days most schools have had huge budget cuts and that's why they ask parents to volunteer or donate copy paper. The fact is that this is a fairly new school and they are doing a great job teaching our kids. They have been able to improve a great deal with FCAT's in such a short amount of time.

This school seems polished on the exterior, however I am not to impressed with the school, it's teachers, nor it's academic plan. I am not to certain what the school does with the private and public funding it receives, but books are not given to the students, as in a "normal public school' a set is given to the children that is theirs to use during that school year. My child has not brought a book home. The High school does have books but they are only classroom copies which must stay in class. The elementary has a math book (stays in class( same goes for reading. Many of their "worksheets" are done with sharpies which are then copied, and I have found numerous spelling errors on these 'hand-made' worksheets. I would recommend staying away from this school. My son stated his fourth grade Language Arts teacher is constantly leaving the class, leaving the teacher aide to teach. Great school if education and presentation aren't high priority on your list. Homestead is a tough area to find great schools, but this isn't one of them by far. They have a new high school, again it's all shiny and polished for the public to see. No library, just a very poorly run school.
