We have had a great experience at Space Coast. Our daughter transitioned to this school in 9th grade and is currently attending 10th. The teachers shes had have been knowledgeable and responsive, the academic programs are appropriately challenging, and our daughter is thriving here. When our daughter has had to reach out to her school counselor for anything, the response has been prompt and helpful.

The school cares more about ratings than anything else. It'd be hard to encourage the students to develop these qualities when their teachers and administration doesn't have these qualities.

There is no leadership, I can't even think of one instance where any faculty did anything even remotely resembling leadership.

I was bullied and went to admin about it and they did nothing because the kid "seemed like a nice boy" and I had to have several meetings with the dean to get her to do anything but she refused (mrs.johnson). My cousin was beat up in class and the school did nothing bc a teacher didn't see it even though other kids did

Administration disgusts me. Teachers are terrible. There is animal feces around the campus everyday. Food regularly has mold. Atmosphere is terrible for kids.

I was the 2nd graduating class of this school and still since then I have seen nothing but well educated and excelling students coming out of that school.

Space Coast is a pretty good school. There are a few teachers/coaches that standout. Coach Kenny is amazing!!! What he does for his basketball players and the special needs students is awesome.

My overall observation is that the school is more worried about their rating then about the children. If a child gets behind then they force them out. Kids just give up and quit because there is no help. Sadly, I live in West Port St. John and most of the kids on my street have turned out to be drop outs. It's pathetic that a school cares so little about the student body. Education is failing and crime is rising.

2016-17 brought a new principal with a new vision. She is working hard to establish Space Coast in a better direction. Parent Involvement is getting better, but still is very low. The majority of the teachers and staff are great. I see a much better future for kids at this school. More needs to be done for Orchestra programs and computer programming, but I hope this will be handled in the future (soon).

This school is a typical neighborhood school that does not hand pick its students such as Edgewood, but still offers a special program, called Viper Accelerated Program (VAP) for those that want more than just a basic education!
I am very happy with this program and it keeps my daughter performing at a level as high as she wants to take it, the teachers are willing to accommodate different levels and assign work accordingly. All schools can be great, it's the teachers that make the difference!! And this school certainly has great teachers that truly care for the students' success and are willing to do what it takes to get the kids ready for their next stage in life!! Way to go VAP teachers!! Keep up the good work!!!

I am a student at this high school, and I have read all of the reviews on this web site for the school. Many of this reviews are out of proportion. The dress code isn't strict in the frist place, but it is enforced. At this time I have had no problems with any teacher. The review with all the discription of smoking, profanity, and PDA on campass is neverly nonexistent. Truely my old middle school in a small town in Ohio was more of a problem. Many reviews have said that their student fail the courses at the school and if you do the work your grade will refect. At this time I have held a 4.0 GPA for a year and a half. Just remember with any high school kids will be kids.

Space Coast is absolutely terrible. I Hate going there and if I could go to a different school, I would. The students lack care for each other and the teachers pretend we're all a big happy "family" but in reality we're enemies. We never get a break and if we miss a day of school, its like we're lost for eternity.

This school was a horrific choice academically, Space Coast seems to have been nothing but few teachers actually willing to try and be compassionate with the student to better fund their academic progress. Most of the staff is incompetent and non-helpful entirely. I found the student population to be intimidating and lacking in social skills; as well, many students broke dress code on a consistent basis and no one thought the better of it. Facility are virtually fearful on students and respond to misbehavior by veering their eyes. This school, I believe, is a despicable representation of the public school system and its disciples.
