I've always heard that this was a terrible school with the laziest teachers in the bay county school system. Well now i know first hand that it's true.

It's the winter months now and all or most kids have a little cold or runny nose, well these teachers will send kids home that are not sick at all and I've heard that they think it's a game amongst themselves to see how many kids they can send home on any given day. shame on you Cedar Grove elementary !!!!!!

This school is full of great teachers, paras and administration. They all work as a team to help every child succeed. You can tell they work collaboratively to help meet each child's individual needs.

The teachers really rallied and came together to help the students and their families after Hurricane Micheal destroyed almost everyone's homes. The teachers still came to school with a smile on their face and ready and willing to teach every child that came through their doors.

You can tell the staff feels supported by their leadership team. There is a clear chain of command and everyone is on the same page.

The school has a wonderful Autism program and supports all students at every level. They have a very effective MTSS and ESE program that helps students who need a little extra time to learn something.

My son has been here for 2 years, and all the teachers are great. They have always treated me with respect anytime I come up to the school to check out my son,or help out with school activities.

Nope. A boy hit my little girl and didn't get in trouble!!

It's awful. I'm trying to let these last 2 months of school go by but my 6 year old already hates going to school. She doesn't understand why they have to sit in a desk all day long doing atleast 15 pages of worksheets. The only free time they get is 20 minutes of recess. And some kids won't let her play on certain toys because she won't say curse words with them. Yes they have taught her math some reading, history..blah blah it's kindergarten! She's suppose to learn with her hands and social skills. She has been good most of the year but now that a teacher quit over Xmas break the school will not hire a new kindergarten teacher so now their is about 22 or 23 kids in her class under 1 teacher! Now she has been getting in trouble all the time. But when you have bad kids in class that get to walk out of class whenever they feel like it or do whatever they want.. and that their are so many bad kids the teacher cancels the easter egg hunt for the entire class. the other kids start acting up because they are getting punished for what the bad kids did. It's just common sense. So I don't know if she will be staying the remander of the year. I might feel better homeschooling her until she gets to first grade. And her school choice application goes through.

What leadership? This school is so messed up.

Posted: April 24, 2018

Nope they send notes home to the parent. They don't have time or money to work with children individually. As of right now they only have 3 kindergarten teachers and each teacher has atleast 23 kids. It's not suppose to be more than 17..

I have worked at this school for the last three years. These kids are treated with love and respect. This school is a lot better than it seems.

My school is a sweet community school with a family feel. The students and staff are friendly.

This school is horrible, it's full of horrible teachers, and horrible staffs. They treated like disrespects and too many disciplines. Teacher service is horrible, they put you in detention for no reason. Don't go to this school.
