Horribly run school. Rampant bullying and nothing is done by staff. School is run by a cheerleader, not an educator.

Sadly I wanted to love this school. Unfortunately their anti bullying they have I completely useless. My child was bullied so badly from K to second grade. Teachers didnt help her and ignored her pleas. She came home on more than one occasion with a bruised eye or cuts all over her knees because the boys pushed her. The girls made a group to make sure my daughter couldnt participate in recess and the teacher did nothing. I constantly saw teachers and aids on their cell phones nots paying attention to the kids at all. Please save your child from going to such a horrible school. An A school means nothing if you kid hates it there. The school is run by what seems to be and old sorority group. You only get helped if you are a white straight Christian.

I have gone here for 5 years....it is the best school ever. I will never forget Altoona school!!!!!!

this is a great school that puts alot of effort into their kids im after reviewing the scores im very happy to be sending my daughter here i had a cousin who went here that went from f's to straight a's

I have two children so far that have gone to Altoona School. My oldest is now in 7th grade and is in all advanced classes. My second son is now finishing Altoona school in the 5th grade. Both have always been honor roll students. I am so thankful that I enrolled my children here. It is a wonderful school where everyone knows everyone. My children have enjoyed their experience at Altoona for many reasons. The close family structure that has always been given to them and the extra curricular classes that are offered are probably the two biggest pluses. 4-H has become a huge part of their lives because of Altoona School. Had it not been for the 4-H program here they probably would have never known they had a passion for it. I would recommend this school to any parent looking for an "A" rated school for the child to excel at. Thank you Altoona School for the great job you do.
