A Haven for Hope and Growth: Why The Broach School of Orange Park Transformed Our Sons Education
Transitioning to middle school can be daunting for any child, but for a student with Autism and ADHD, it can feel like an overwhelming hurdle. After a smooth elementary school experience, middle school brought morning panic attacks and severe school avoidance for our family. After missing most of the first two weeks of school, we embarked on a long, exhausting search to find an environment where our son could feel safe, understood, and supported. We tried charter schools, private programs, and temporary homeschooling while visiting multiple specialized schoolsyet nothing felt quite right until we walked through the doors of The Broach School of Orange Park.
From the very first moment, Director Sonya Sutter and her assistant Ms. Smith were a absolute treasure. Ms. Sutter greeted us with a genuine, warm smile and immediately set a completely different tone. Rather than rushing through a standard tour or speaking solely to us while treating our son as if he werent in the room, she spoke directly to Anthony. She took the time to listen to him, validate his feelings, and talk with him like the capable person he is. She offered thoughtful, practical ways he could thrive rather than just survive. That initial conversation was the light at the end of a very dark tunnel for our family.
While the journey back to comfort in the classroom has naturally had a few speed bumps, the progress Anthony has made is nothing short of incredible. Bad days have quickly given way to good days, and each week brings more confidence and stability. His grades are fantastic, and he is excelling academically.
The environment at The Broach School fosters both personal independence and a strong sense of accomplishment through continuous positive reinforcement. Furthermore, the faculty and staff set the standard for parent partnershipcommunication is open, welcoming, and response times to emails are remarkably fast.
We are endlessly grateful to Sonya Sutter, Ms. Smith, and the entire team at The Broach School of Orange Park for restoring our sons love of learning and giving him a place where he can truly belong. If you are looking for a school that sees, values, and lifts up your child, this is it. The best part was of all the schools we looked at, this was the he felt the most at home with.

A zero they need to shutdown all the campas they have and be sued for what they do/did to every student pass and present. They don't teacher your children a thing just label them for their scholarship money.

There was a time my children had a good teacher, but they left.

If your child is on an IEP stay far away from this school

I deeply regret ever sending my children to this school. I only wrote this review as a warning to save others from the stress and challenges that came with the poor leadership and low quality academics.

The teachers who were/are good eventually end up leaving because Broach of Orange Park is unorganized and has zero morale. Dont waste your scholarship funds sending your children to Broach. Not only did my children watch Netflix the first two quarters of school until it was finally corrected, their math teacher was gone a lot of the year. Instead of having a substitute teacher for math, they had a five teacher schedule that left out Math all together. Theres absolutely no accountability. When issues are brought to the leaderships attention, they only make excuses and dont change anything.

When there is constant unfairness, children become indifferent to school. Fortunately, my children have a strong foundation at home and we are changing schools, so their spirits werent crushed while attending Broach.

Instead of addressing students who are troublemakers individually, the entire school would be scolded in a group and public setting in the cafeteria area. Theres a lack of communication and lack of organization.

One teacher in particular has zero empathy or patience for children with disabilities. Please dont send your children who have disabilities to this school. There are plenty of other private schools who are compassionate and better equipped than this circus of a school. Believe me, children deserve better than Broach Orange Park.

Only one teacher had any effect on my child. He took great interest in her education and was the only one to communicate with us.

My child was not taught at her grade level. We have since moved her to public school and she is so far behind. I think it was pure laziness on the teachers side. Do not enroll your children in this school if you have any hope of transferring to a public school later on.
