Christian Home Academy has been a blessing. My children were previously homeschooled, so this was their first time in an in-person classroom. The teachers and staff are welcoming and non-judgmental. I like that the curriculum is self-paced, individualized, and has biblical scriptures to memorize. Overall, my children formed positive bonds with the teachers, staff, and the other students. I am thankful for the valuable role the school has played in our children’s educational journey.

We absolutely love this school and feel so grateful that our two boys are part of it. We started here during COVID, and from the very beginning the staff was incredibly understanding and supportive—especially when we chose to continue remote learning a bit longer than most families. That flexibility meant so much to us and really showed how much they genuinely care about each family’s needs.
Even though parents aren’t regularly allowed inside the school, I have complete confidence that the children are extremely well cared for. The staff’s hearts are truly in the right place. They do not tolerate bullying and are very aware of different home environments. They are patient, kind, and nurturing with the kids, but also firm when needed—exactly the balance you want in a great school.
We drive all the way from Mandarin every day to attend, and it’s 100% worth it. The curriculum is excellent, and I especially love how repetitive and structured it is, which really helps with retention. As students enter high school, they also have the opportunity for dual enrollment with the local college to earn real college credits.
The school offers great enrichment programs like music (guitar and piano), karate, art, and even a chess club. They also provide tutoring when needed. For example, we’ve struggled with algebra, and Ms. Amanda has been phenomenal with the kids and math. Every teacher truly goes above and beyond to help each child succeed.
They have weekly chapel, require cursive (which we love!), and emphasize that education is a partnership between school and parents. Overall, this school is caring, dedicated, and truly invested in each child’s academic and personal growth. We couldn’t be happier with our choice!

Both of my children have attended this school. They have been going here collectively for about ten years. Both children had unique learning styles and challenges and absolutely excelled here after negative experiences with the public school system. This school had the patience and understanding that a public school does not. My eldest child graduated a few years ago and worked through some learning disabilities with the guidance and support of this school. My younger child will graduate this year, with honors and a nearly complete AA degree from to their participation in dual enrollment. I know I made the right decision sending them both to Christian Home Academy. Your children will get the care and education they deserve here.

My son came to Christian Home Academy about 4 1/2 years ago after being severely bullied in public school to the point he was having anxiety attacks when we would get ready to leave to take him to school, he was in gifted from 3 rd grade up into middle school then changed to accelerated classes. Once the bulling started his grades started dropping and he became very withdrawn and literally unable to attend school..We went to a couple private schools to interview and check them out, didn't feel any of them were the right fit until we came to Christian Home Academy to interview and check out, Mr. Gary was a very nice and welcoming. So was Mrs. Jackie. They answered our question and we answered theirs. My son felt comfortable with the smaller class sizes and once he started he made friends with a group of kids and his self esteem began to come back that was about four years ago, he has excelled In his pace books, music glass and karate. This is his last year of high-school and I am so grateful to the teacher's and all of the staff for being a great support system. I don't think if I didn't move my son out of public school into Christian Home Academy he wouldn't be where he is today. We will miss them.

After trying other private schools, online schools, and public school, my son did flourish in his schoolwork at Christian Home Academy. He may not have liked all the schoolwork required to graduate but the school and teachers encouraged and worked with him to accomplish his goals. I was confident he did learn Algebra, was able to write a research paper and give an 8-minute speech, know something about our government, and increased his vocabulary at Christian Home Academy. Post graduation he went on to college and became a successful diesel technician. This school has students in Dual Enrollment at the local college for advance students with high academic aptitude and has a vocational track for students seeking a career path or wanting to attend a technical college. This school allows students to work at their own level of academics, and the teachers are there to assist them in their studies, graduation path, and spiritual growth.

For me , it has been very positive. I have a special needs student who has been there since 1st grade and will graduate next year.

Posted: November 9, 2019

Work is expected to be completed at school thus eliminating the need for homework.

Posted: November 9, 2019

The teachers will work one on one with students. They will assist them when they are struggling in order for the student to be successful.

Posted: November 9, 2019

Through daily class devotions, weekly chapels and non-denominational Christian

The leadership has integrity, a heart for Christ and a heart for reaching the children falling thru the cracks.

All the staff is compassionate, caring and loving to the students.
They create an environment t where each each student feels safe, loved and accepted.

There is a zero tolerance for bullying. Student will be dismissed.

Posted: June 13, 2018

Parents are always notified when homework is assigned. Homework is either assigned because student did not complete the days work or by parent request to help their student move ahead.

Posted: June 13, 2018

The teacher here are in ministry and truly have the individual students needs in mind when working with them. The teachers take steps to be prepared for each students academic needs.

Posted: June 13, 2018

The curriculum used in the school is Christian base and all the teachers have strong Christian beliefs. They truly show the love of Jesus when administering to the students which leads to students building confidence and self-worth.

The Principal ensure three way communication, this helps avoid discrepancies and miss communication between students, parents & teachers. He is very good at discernment and always investigates issues between students.

Posted: June 13, 2018

The directors and staff communicate with the individual needs of the students and adjust curriculum to achieve academic success for each student. With the ACE curriculum there is a level of responsibility that each student must comply with to be successful and a teacher can only support the learning process the student must be willing to put in the work.

Posted: June 13, 2018

As stated above the Principal has great discernment and always investigates students issues. He will provide appropriate counsel and take necessary actions to correct any unruly behavior.

I had my son here in 5th grade and his reading and overall academics greatly improved. Not fully understanding the ACE curriculum and thinking he needed a teacher instructing the whole class I moved him to a more traditional style school. That was a mistake because he was not advancing in his weak areas and the teachers did not seem to mind. I moved him back for his high school years and once again he started to excel in his weak areas and is overall progress gave me the confidence he could perform at a college level. This school has dual enrollment for students who can perform at a college level when they reach the 11th grade curriculum and if your student is active in sports they can join their zoned public high school for sports activities. My son was able to join marching band at public school and attend Christian Home Academy for academics. Other students at the school participated in ROTC, soccer, tennis, and basketball. Great school who will love and help your child learn and grow into an outstanding member of society.

First let me say this. I am certified state school teacher in 2 states and this is anything but a school. I refer to it as teen care. The teachers are not college degreed, nor is the school SACS certified, despite the owners' claim. go ask to see the SACS plaque. Also, this is the ONLY school I have been involved in where students regress instead of progress. I know for a fact a high school freshman went from the 9th grade all the way back to the 3rd . When I asked the owner why he said it was due to "gaps " in her education and his curriculum. I asked did other students test down based this and he said yes. I said well based on this , the student will age out before they can graduate since 21 is the cutoff age. He said please do not talk like that it is discouraging to the child. If you do enroll your child in the school be warned. Ask to see their teachers college degrees and the SACS plaque. This is an independent study school and most are not going to do that they need structure and guidance which these teachers give none. At our parent conference NON of the teachers were present. He said teachers do not have to attend. Man I wish this had been true during my 30 year experience in the high school and college setting.

Great school with very qualified teachers. Dont let anyone mislead you into thinking anything but the best education can be had at this school. A staff that loves children and are committed to serve versus just get a paycheck. Special needs or not, this is a great school. My child is treated extrememly well and is above grade level in everything. High SAT 10 scores to prove it. i love this school and the Christ centered curriculum is top notch.

I will agree with Rick the school is designed for special needs students. A few kids I have talked to here are the ones that have been kicked out of other schools in the past. Teachers??I've seen more coaches then teachers.Coaches just tell the students turn to the next page or give the student the answer to move on in their pacebook. There is no teaching going on. It is read the pacebook answer the questions then move to the next book.Great cirriculm for each childs need?I guess if your kid is slow they will keep him slow if your child is fast they will allow him to rush through his pacebooks as fast or as slow as he can.Once again for those teachers that made the effort to go through school and get proper training then to call a coach a teacher is an insult.Coaches are more like people how dont work and can't teach but can tell a student to turn the page. Most schools do not require high scores to get into a private school they do require testing to make sure your student is at their grade level this is a good thing who want a 5th grade in a class with 2nd grade level I hope no one it would be miserable for the student.Parent involvement they talk to kids behind parents back.
