We were told many things that turned out to not be true or helpful. Especially concerning how to help my daughter with her learning style needs. As a parent I feel gaslit into a situation we are stuck in until later this year. Would not recommend.

Amazing group of educators, we really care for the kids. We work hard to inspire students everyday. Our school assessment scores have raised significantly and we have a strong culture of support, inclusion, and commitment.

I'm a teacher and sponsor of Giunta's Jr. Beta Club. I currently have 116 students. Out of that number 94 of them earn straight A's and B's. I'm almost as close to my coworkers as I am to my friends. Our parents are supportive. And i truly believe that my beta Club members are tomorrow's leaders. My ONLY complaint is that the remaining 22 students are in desperate need of Social Emotional skills and in depth, FREQUENT training for regular social interaction before they enter any classroom.

Absolute trash. They do nothing to uphold their 'no bullying' policy and then punish the student who has been bullied when they get sick of it and clap back. If I needed to teach my kid to fight just to get an education without getting injured or in the nurses office every day you should have sent that info home with the busload of other paperwork in the beginning! Favoritism and allowances made for bullies.

I loved this school, i went to this school in 2020 for summer school (bc the school i really went to sucked) The students are really fun to be around, Yes- There are fights but kids are kids and there are gonna be disputes, the thing that matters is that the fight or argument gets solved and the kids forgive, The teachers are really fun, and nice to be around, the reason why the grades are so bad, is because kids are always fooling around, if i hadn't gone to giunta i probably would've failed 6th grade, thank god for giunta because it passed me into 7th grade, the teachers believe in a second chance and believe that we could really do this, one teacher told the whole class "you guys aren't supposed to be here, It's not hard, just do your work and pass, it'll help if you do a bit at home" they gave us advice, and if we needed help they help us! the teachers are like a friend.

Overall, Giunta is a approving school. Right now, I am currently a online student there because of Covid-19. I've met some amazing kids online and even some astonishing teachers. Everyone is a kind wholesome family there and we are all trying and pushing each other to become better. I know and have heard of the situations of kids bullying and kids being disrespectful and doing inappropriate things for their age but that should have no influence on your child unless they are actually interested in doing something bad. If your child is hanging out with the wrong people, then that is their fault. If your child participates in drugs or any inappropriate activities, it is 100% their responsibility. Kids fully have a choice to do the right or wrong thing and what they choose is going to effect them. I think its a matter of, kids aren't doing the right things. This is not the school's fault, especially if they were already like this before. It is a parents reasonability to show their kid what is right and what is wrong. As for the Bullying, I am not fully aware of what goes on in the school but I do know that online, there is no bullying. If a kid is caught saying something disrespectful or offending in any way to a student, the teachers to handle it or say something to that student. This all goes the same way for grades. I'm sure many parents here have amazing students who are very smart and able to pass. Just because some of the students there aren't passing, doesn't mean your child is set up for failure. Other student grades shouldn't effect your child. it is FULLY your child's responsibility to get good grades. If they aren't putting the effort in to get these then that is on them. If they are struggling, then get them a tutor or help them. Other students grades have nothing to do with your child's level or grades. So whether you decide to send them there or not, the overall grades at that school wont effect your child if they are actually trying. I'm sure there are many more subjects and topics we can go on into but if you take a look at this school, it really isn't that deficient. Sure, there are many improvements to be made in the future but as of now, I RECCOMMEND this school to any parents wanting to send their child there and I hope the best for your child. Thankyou for taking your times to read my review, Have a wonderful night to everybody reading this. Bye~!

I don't know how to rate this school since the reviews for 2018 and most of 2017 are missing. Seems like this school had a lot of complaints that have been erased by this site. New beginning?

My son has Down Syndrome and was in the ESE program at Guinta for 4 years and the teachers were wonderful. They truly cared about my son and helping him be successful. I can't speak for the regular ed academics but our experience with the ESE department and the administration was all thumbs up. We miss them all now that he has moved on to high school.

My son goes to guinta and I hate it he failed the 6th grade forced the step program on us even though he failed 6th they put him into 8th makes no sense he tells me about drugs being fine in the bathrooms he has witnessed drugs deals and the about of fights her gets into cuz he gets bullied is ridiculous I feel they are failing him and are just pushing him through

If I could give this school a negative rating I would. There are a handful of excellent teachers here but the administration is horrible. I have had 2 children attend Giunta and keep giving them a pass for all the terrible things that happen. Luckily my kids are/were in advanced classes so they managed to learn a few things. The school has a uniform policy that is not enforced. I drop my child off and I am shocked at what the kids are wearing. Fights break out all the time. Kids have been caught under the stairs doing things kids shouldn't do. The school has been on lock down so many times that when I get the call about it I am no longer surprised. In fact it has become a tradition at our dinner table to talk about what happened at Giunta today, and its rarely good news. PE teachers take no responsibility monitoring the locker rooms and often fall asleep in class. Emails to administration aren't answered......need I go on? My advice to anyone thinking about sending their child to this school is, DON"T.

I was once a student here and I absolutely hated it! I was bullied there to the point where I was breaking down in the morning before school saying I didnt want to go to school and before I went to bed I'd start crying again. I switched schools & this school made me never want to go back to a public school & I NEVER will. So, thank you Giunta.

Giunta is a great school it has a lot of bad seeds but what school doesn't.With the new principle Mr.Bobo a lot of them are gone...im and 8th graded well there is a lot of drama but just steer free of it and have a group of friends that you stick with stay out of the drama and all the fights and you will ok....I Am a Giunta GIANT
