Our daughter just started at KCC and she loves it! Everyday she comes homes with excitement in her voice while she is deceiving her day at school. She has learned something new everyday since her attendance. We are overly happy with her daily progression and feel that we have al made one of the best decisions as parents by placing her here for kindergarten.

This school has been horrible so far. It is especially awful if your child has ADHD, ASD or any kind of learning difference. The school does not care absit following the laws. Ms. Evans is a dishonest leader. She is barely there and will lie straight to a parent's face. What ever good teachers they might have are lot in a mix of under qualified and discriminatory teachers. This place should be shut down.

My oldest attended this school K-8th and my youngest is still enrolled (7th), but also started in Kindergarten. Both have thrived from the smaller classroom settings and the ability to have one-on-one time with their teachers. Both love math, and have been given the opportunity to be challenged and placed into higher classes so they can continue to excel.

We have had a wonderful experience with KCC South. Both of my kids went to school there from VPK to 8th grade. Many teachers have stayed at the school a long time. There is a sense of community and caring about the children’s development both academically and personally.

This is an amazing school! This was what my son needed after a bad experience in public school. Both of my kids thrive at this school and get the support that they need from from all involved at the school. This school also nurtures a family environment and communication between staff and parents.

Pros- small school with limited number of students help teachers pay more attention. IB curriculum at the South East campus. Parent teacher relationship can be established due to small size of the school. Nice office staff.
Cons- Rating isn't improving meaning low test scores. Limited scope for extra curricular activities. Programs like Advanced, Gifted etc are not given much importance/not implemented strongly. Fields are very small. Too many fundraisers and mandatory consumebles fee (reduced this year thankfully after parents concerns over paying too much). No or barely any homeworks or home assignments making students literally idle at home with nothing to study.

My children have attended KCC from VPK to now 5th grade. My children have always received everything they need from their teachers and support staff. Their CPA has always been such a fun group to help with also. I encourage you to check them out if you want a safe, small, and family like school community.

This school is All about money! I have two kids who go here and the staff in the front office is cold and rude. They ask for $150 for any of the club's that the students participate in but the money doesn't go towards the clubs. They served my child and other students moldy bread with their sandwich at lunch that made them sick. They made my child scrub clean lockers that had some odd sticky brown substance in them in order for her to be able to use one. Their work load is heavy. They do have high expectations for their students but parents only hear from the staff in cases when their asking for money other wise parents are left in the dark. This school has excellent teachers although the staff in the front office is rude and unprofessional and unfortunately their not very parent friendly either. Also they are definitely money hungary as well!!!!!!

My experience with this school is that they are all about money not their students welfare.

I feel like my child is safe at school and when I have had an issue it was addressed quickly. So much better than the other schools I hear about!

Very poor senior administrative staff, they care more about how the school "appears" than taking moral actions for their students and teachers

Posted: June 6, 2018

Posted: June 6, 2018

Bullying is overtly condemned, but when it comes down to it not only do many teachers allow it, they intentionally turn a "blind eye". When reported to senior administrative staff get verbiage such as "there was no definitive bullying in this situation". Utterly incompetent.

Posted: June 6, 2018

This school cares more about their test scores than the well being of the student/faculty population. The bullying policies are actively not enforced and bullying cases are covered up. The homework load for every grade level is worse than I have had in my entire academic career, including college.

Posted: June 6, 2018

Kindergarteners should not have 2+ hours of homework on a regular basis, and of my children, that was the LEAST amount of homework assigned regularly.

Posted: June 6, 2018

I would strongly agree with this, but many are not effective or are too afraid of getting fired to assert themselves to the administration

My children have attend KCC since kindergarten. This school continues to stand apart from others in the area based on my experience with my older son (who never got the chance to attend KCC) and the experiences of others I know. The work is challenging and the school insists that families are involved and have a say. The school is A rated by the State year after year, along with many other awards they've received and I feel it's well earned. I'm glad there will now be a high school offering. Small campuses, small class sizes, amazing professors and leadership!

People will complain regardless, you can't please everyone. My son spent the entire year in VPK at KCC and I'm extremely pleased with his development in comparison to my other co-workers and friends whom kids are the same age at neighboring schools and you can observe the difference. I'm so excited for his upcoming year starting Kindergarten, my neighbors kids are attending there as well grades 2nd and 5th and they share the same perception as myself which excites me more. Keep up the great work, KCC rocks!

I am a grand parent. I looked at the school yesterday passing by and I loved what I saw. I would like to know when can I come over to checked it out I have my grand daughter coming and my son wants me to look at it and what is need. She is just 4 years old in 3/21/2015 and she qualify for VPK. Can you email me the cost for her? Thank you for your attention. Vilma Spanger

If you want your child to look good on paper or always have good grades, I would send them to Kids Community College. Grades are changed and the class average cannot fall below a 70%. One administrator says to give the students a zero for not doing any work, then another says to change the grades in order to keep students and their parents happy. I want my child challenged and held accountable for their work and actions. KCC is a business and they keep the customers happy no matter what! Customers are always right or so we are led to believe. There is a large turnover of teachers which leads to inconsistancy in instruction!! There is little room for creativity and imagination. We want our students engaged and learning. Students are given packets of work and everything is done by the book. I consider it somewhat mindless work. Anyone can fill in the blanks! Students need to learn to think for themselves and to find answers to their questions. They have to do the work instead of answers being handed to then. If you want a school that caters to parents and student demands, then KCC is the school for you. If you don't like something, it can be changed.

I can seriously tell the difference between public and charter schools. My son is now in the 9th grade in a public high school and the teachers have excuses for everything and on top of that, he got jumped by a kid in class and when he defended himself, he got in trouble. Thank you to the entire KCC family for equipping my son for educational success! Are you a perfect school? No, but you are one of the schools who really care about its students! KCC High Charter School????

Posted: December 20, 2014

This is a school of smoke and mirrors. They treat teachers horribly as if they are the problem and not the kids who cause issues at the school. It is not conducive to the learning of the children when those who are trouble makers are not punished for their actions. Teachers are let go because the school doesn't want to upset the parents of the troublesome kids. They also ask teacher to change their grades when they are not what the school wants them to be. Administration lies to the children tell them their teachers quit when in reality they were actually fired. This school is a business through and through. They only care about making the "customers" happy and making themselves look good. If you want your children to have the same teacher throughout the year, this isn't the school.

I began working at Kids Community College after being in the public school sector for 5 years. I have been so impressed by the whole experience, I wish I had come sooner. The individual attention the students receive, the collaboration between teachers, the communication and parent involvement, and the way everyone on campus genuinely looks and acts like they love what they do has been so motivating to me. Everyone here puts the needs of the students first, and it shows. The students seem more like a family than a student body. The academics here are outstanding, as is proven by our results. I can't say enough about this school, and I am able to see the same thing on all of the campuses.

My son did well although they continued to forget him at the Honors Award Ceremony but gave him his certificate later in class. My daughter (4th grader) suffered from student bullying. She got a Guidance Counselor involved. It was found that the teacher was bullying her in class and her favorite students took on the same role. My daughter has always been a well behaved and academically successful student so the bullying by teachers and students came as a real surprise. Both have been moved to private schools where they are doing very well and really enjoy school again. Would I recommend this school it really depends on what other options you may have. All schools have their share of problems and this one is no exception. It is better than many of the public schools in the Tampa area but there is still room for positive growth.

Education is the door to success! As a fourth generation child of educators, I know how crucial it is to be educated and knowledgeable of how things work. Kid's Community College offers a dynamic environment to teach within. My experience has been very professional and motivating. I have taught throughout the county and I have never been at an educational facility that provides such outstanding motivation, support, and collaborative team building on a consistent basis. Kid's Community College fosters a love of learning and teaching by setting high standards and expectations for all networks of support which includes community, students, faculty, staff and family. In my few years with the school, I have been sent to stellar trainings, several co-teacher reflections, and various opportunities for growth. The best thing about teaching at Kid's Community College is the dedication that is provided to every student everyday. l arrive and depart to my career with a high sense of pride and anticipation for my day. We're highly trained to reach and teach our children of today in order to produce our leaders of tomorrow. Whether it's training heads or helping hands "Let's Go Cougars"!!

KCC is a wonderful school to work at! The parents are very involved and are willing to work with you to create the best education for their children. Every teacher makes an effort to connect with each student. Teachers show empathy and will go above and beyond to meet the needs of every child. Each year, the teachers at KCC attend a variety of trainings to ensure success in the classroom. We receive training on every type of school, district, and state assessment we give to our children. We also have trainings to help expand our knowledge in all aspects of teaching. Teachers at KCC have the opportunity to attend workshops to learn new ways of delivering concepts that will help reach every child. KCC is a great school and we will continue to help every child reach their maximum potential.

The school is poorly ran and they do not provide assistance to help teachers become better educators. Teachers are not heard from and are terminated frequently. My son had three fifth grade teachers and this is a common thing.

Posted: June 18, 2014

This has been an incredible year for my family at KCC Elementary! My son is looking forward to going to the Middle School next year. No school environment is perfect, but this one comes close and tries hard to be supportive and engaging. They do have requirements of all families to be involved and take ownership in their children's education and enforce their volunteer hour requirements etc. Love the small class sizes and overall small school size. Academically one of the best we've found with committed and caring professors and always soliciting parental input and involvement.

Posted: June 8, 2014

Never hear anything positive to say. There is not any mentoring and school lacks good communication.

Posted: June 1, 2014

My son has gone to this school for 2 years. He has made great friends. Any conflicts have been dealt with quickly and appropriately by administration. They offer a wide variaty of elective classes. My only issue is that they are constantly asking for money and donations. Ultimately KCC is owned by a for profit company and it is a business. However we have been very happy, so it's been worth the annoying plugs for donations.

I think KCC is a wonderful school! Teachers makes an effort to get to know each student. They challenge their students and find ways to reach every one.

This is the best school in Hillsborough County. They care so much for each child. They do the best for each student to learn. My daughter love the school and the teachers. Everybody is great in this school. I wish all the school in Hillsborough School will be like this one.

Our boys attend Kids Community College, our older son since 2006 and our younger son since 2011. My wife and I are dedicated parents to our boys and their institution of higher learning. KCC is a wonderful school not just with the above average academics, but also in support staff, and sports. Our older son has been a member of the football and soccer teams since 3rd grade, he looks for to playing the game and the competition each year. I do think that hiring Coach Stewart a few years back greatly improved the athletic department, and school competitive sports. Our older son has also maintained a straight A status since letter grades were given, his state testing scores are above level, and he has an incredible desire to learn and work ethic. Our younger son has also maintained Honor Roll grades and continues to succeed in 2nd grade. He enjoys the addition of Mr. Ferri and the music program. Above all, my wife and I would highly recommend KCC to anyone and everyone, it is our school, our family,

Posted: April 29, 2014

Our Family loves Kids Community College. All of the professors are wonderful. They take their time in teaching and will do what it takes for more learning. The student teacher ratio is a little smaller so that makes for a better learning experience. The entire staff are very friendly and the school is very clean. I would highly reccomend this school to anyone.

Posted: April 29, 2014

Our school is fantastic! We have a very dedicated staff of teachers and administrators who are focused on making sure our students grow academically, as well as, socially, emotionally, and physically! We have a very close school family and tons of fun activities throughout the year! Go KCC- Orange Cougars!!

Posted: April 28, 2014

My school pushes students to excel at their individual levels. They differentiate the learning to meet the needs of their students. Our school works together as a team to ensure that both student and parent needs are met. The teachers and staff truly care about the students they are in contact with and provide a nurturing environment that shows creative learning, good character, and high standards.

Kids Community College Southeast is an amazing School for learning and growth in the Riverview area. I am a parent of a student and I work here! I couldn't imagine having my child going anywhere else!

Posted: April 28, 2014

The faculty at KCC SE is amazing in all aspects. They really care about each student and work very hard to get each child to perform to his/ her potential. The administration is just as dedicated. The amount of time and energy each person contributes to ensure the success of the students goes way beyond what one would expect. It is exciting to see the progress of the students and the love of learning that they are developing. Being an International Baccalauriate Candidate school adds a lot of demands to all the faculty, administration, and students but all concerned are determined to not only succeed but excel.

Kid's Community College is a fantastic school. This is our child's 3 year. He has excelled in his time at the school. We cannot imagine sending him anywhere else. The staff and families are amazing!

I wanted to address the BULLYING topic. As a parent that is of great concern to me the safety of my kids. My son is a 6th grader and my daughter is in the 3rd grade. My son had a small incident that he was uncomfortable with I sent an email to his homeroom teacher to address the issue and with 24 hours I had received 3 emails from his homeroom teacher, the principal and the assistant principal all adrressing the issue. The principal held up the car line to make sure my concern was addressed. KCC is an excellent school and the teachers and administration ensure the safety of all kids. Parent at KCC for 3 years

KCC is an excellent school. We have 2 children attending. My oldest is in 4th grade and has been there since Kindergarten. My youngest started Kindergarten this year. The results have been nothing short of amazing. Both kids are doing well, they are engaged, and they are excited about school. They each have drastically different learning styles, but the school takes time to customize the teaching for each child instead of teaching everyone the same way. The teachers and staff are easy to contact and always willing to help. They actually want to be there and they enjoy what they are doing. KCC was a godsend for us and continues to be a great school for our children.

Kid's Community College is a wonderful school. The Teachers are supportive and hard working. The office staff and administration are great too. The entire school offers that best education to our kids and push them to strive for more. The school offers sports, many electives, afterschool care and programs. The only thing I would change is for them to extend to 12th grade.

Posted: August 27, 2013

We think that at KCC our kids' teachers are getting better every year. We can see that the school keeps hiring high quality staff, improving it with constant professional development, and promoting it, as the students are promoted and rewarded in many ways for their achievements.

Posted: June 26, 2013

My child loves to go to school! There is no other school I would consider placing my child. The same educational standards I wanted for my child are alive here at KCC! The teachers really care. The Administration is open and honest. The support staff is nurturing. The curriculum is challenging and has helped to develop my child into a well-rounded scholar. KCC is an outstanding school!

This coming up year will be my 7th at KCC. My son just graduated 8th grade and next year I will have a kindergardener, a 3rd grader and a 5th grader. My oldest was in public school before we found KCC and the experience was horrible. I was told that my son needed to slow down for the other kids because they needed extra time and they did not have the resources for him to move ahead. I am thankful that we have a choice here in Florida. I choose KCC where I was fortunate enough to have Mrs Seder as my sons 3rd grade teacher. While my son was still a handful, we worked TOGETHER to come up with a plan that was best for my son. My other kids know no other school and I am glad for it. I have never been forced to pay enhancement fees in order to stay enrolled. I look forward to start the school year with my 3 younger children. :)

My daughter started with Kids Community College this past school year in Kindergarten. The public schools in our area are not the best so we were so happy to find Kids Community College. The teachers and staff are wonderful. We could not believe how much our daughter achieved academically this year. She is reading at a second grade level and is well above grade level in math. She loves the school and so do we. We highly recommend Kids Community College for any parent that wants the best education and learning environment for their child.

I have 2 children attending Kids Community College; one just finishing the 1st grade and the other completing the 7th. Both kids have done great and enjoy going to school everyday. The teachers and staff are all very responsive and work together to ensure that all kids are given a quality education. Additionally, the facilities are new (just built last year) and there are many extracurricular activities for the kids to participate in. This is one of the finest schools in Hillsborough County and I am proud to have it available in my area.

My daughter started at KCC in the 2012-13 school year in 4th grade. We have been extremely pleased with this school in both academics and in the administration of school events and activities. My daughter is receiving a much better education and having much more positive experiences all around than she had in her previous school. I would recommend KCC to anyone who has a child who needs to be academically challenged and/or needs a smaller school atmosphere to grow socially.

My School is the Kids Community College. We are raising three grandchildren and all three were in KCC this year. Two have ADHD and one had failed the 7th grade in another school. All three received an excellent education at KCC. The one who had failed in another school just graduated the 8th grade with a 3.5 GPA. This school is wonderful. Your children can focus on learning and not contend with the problems you have in some public middle schools such as fighting and bullying. If you want your children to learn then I recommend enrolling them in KCC. My youngest grandson is entering the 7th grade. There is no other school we would want him to attend.

I have witnessed the progress of my child and applaud the outstanding staff and professors. My kids never complain and look forward to attending school! That's amazing! They learn in a safe loving and exceptional environment! Go Cougars!!!

KCC is an outstanding public charter school that provides a stellar educaiton to both my 6th grade and 3rd grade children. KCC has been the only school both of my sons have attended and it is amazing how well they have grasped the challenging concepts presented by KCC's excellent teaching stafff! I am well pleased with how well both my boys have socialized and taken on leadership roles within the KCC environment. And, I really appreciate the fact that when we visit the campus, it seems to be an extension of our home! Willie Glover

Kid's Community College is an excellent school dedicated to tracking students' performance at various intervals during the year. As a parent, I can appreciate this because it makes me aware of any challenges and allows me to employ remedies as needed. My child has been a student here for the past four years and the teachers are of a high calibur. I am always able to contact them with any concerns and am always aware of my child's progress. I would recommend this shcool to anyone.

KCC has made a world of difference in my children's education. I have two that have been coming here for the past two years and they have made leaps and bounds in their grades, motivation and self esteem. Neither of them are nervous when it comes time for them to test and I could not be more proud of their performance. My daughter no longer gets sick in class due to the pressures she face in her public school when it came to the FCAT. The staff and school offer more than I could ever imagine.

I have two children who have attended KCC for the past 2 years. Prior to KCC, my daughter who was struggling in math would throw up due to pressure and fear, now she is excited about it. They have worked in small groups with her as well as additional FREE tutoring. KCC has given both of my kids confidence, self respect and and education that they were lacking in our public school The class sizes are small, therefore, they have a better opportunity to learn. I am so glad that I found KCC. Both of my kids actually ENJOY school and look forward to going to see their friends and LOVE their teachers!!! THANK YOU KCC FOR ALL THAT YOU DO FOR OUR CHILDREN!!!!

My son is attending to Kid's Community College. This was his first year at KCC, he loved the school, the teachers and staff. He performed above grade level and enjoyed going to school every day. As a parent this was my school of choice because of the school ratings. I enjoyed to get involved as parent in the school activities and voluntary my time. I am very grateful with the communication that I have all the time with my son teacher regarding his education and progress at school. WE LOVE KCC!!!

My kids are so happy at KCC. My son is going into 6th grade here in August and my daughter will be going into 1st grade. They have excelled in this school, and actually look forward to going! KCC is like a family--small enough that many of us know each other but large enough to offer several electives (what average public school in Hillsborough County offers Spanish class as an elective in every grade?!?) . I just can't praise this school, their staff, the faculty, and the other KCC families enough. We'll do whatever it takes to keep this school running!

My daughter has attended KCC for two years and we love it. KCC is like family. All the teachers and administrators know my child by name. My child is above grade level in every subject. Her teachers keep me informed of what's going on with my child and the school is very involved with the community. They offer free tutoring as well. Parent involvement is encouraged and parent feedback is taken seriously. The OPTIONAL donation helps with enrichment activities and teaching tools for our kids. I have donated every year because it is an investment in my childs future and cheaper than sending my child to a private school. KCC is the best school in the area and I plan to keep my child here thru middle school.

The things I like about this school is the small class sizes, the low teacher to student ratio, and a great atmosphere to learn. My child is performing above grade level and enjoys going to school. KCC is a wonderful place for kids.

My three children have been in KCC for the last 2 years and we love it! There are NO mandatory fees, all we have is voluntary donations to help improve and provide more learning tools to our children. The school has better grade ratings than most of the area public schools in Hillsborough County. My children are actually bringing home their books home so they have the entire reference material needed to do what they have to do, STUDY. Kids have good teachers in classrooms that are not crowded, they also give students a lot of homework to follow up and reinforce what they have learned in school. Most parents are very involved and we know each other, this only provides a better environment and learning experience that leads to better grades, character formation to place our kids in a better position than others for their future. My wife and I are very happy, so far our best experience in schools for our children. Helmuth Arens

KCC might not be for every child, but it's definitely for mine! Kid's Community College has been a blessing to my soon to be 8th grader who, by the way is autistic. Compared to the public school system where he was sent to the office weekly, KCC has taught him according to his style of learning and he has excelled academically, making honor roll and is stellar in the sports programs offered at KCC. I highly recommend KCC to any parent who wants their child to be treated like family and not a number. The enhancement donation is just that: A VOLUNTARY DONATION that you don't have to pay. For the last couple of years I haven't been able to donate and felt horrible, but I make sure to make up for it by giving my time and other resources to support the school. My child hasn't been kicked out and in the 2013-2014, he will become a graduate of KCC. I WISH they would get a KCC high school going!!!!

My son has been attending this school for two years. Prior to that, he was in the daycare and VPK program. He has excelled at this school far better than he would at an already overcrowded public school. His teachers have all been excellent, and truly care about the students and their progress. My son's interest in learning is encouraged, and he is actually excited to go to school. My daughter is three, and I have every intention of her attending KCC as well. I would recommend this school to any parent that is willing to take a role in their child's education.

When we moved here from Michigan my kids entered the publix school system and we could not believe how behind they are in their education compared to where we came from. I put my daughter in KCC this past school year and what a difference. They are able to teach to the strength and weeknesses of your child and its a smaller school so it feels more like a family atmosphere where everyone is there for one reason and that is to give our kids the best education possible and by the way that is what they deserve.

As a parent I am extemely proud to say my child is a student of Kids Community College. KCC provides the best education and truly cares for the well being of our children. The administration and teachers makes my family feel loved. They display the qualities and attributes of the old clich "it takes a village to raise a child. KCC thank you so much for being a part of our lives!

Kid's Community College is a wonderful and great school to work at! I have been a teacher here for 5 years and I love the family environment here. We care about all our students and the use of MI is great! I show my students that they are all wonderful and help them all to excell in every way. I believe in our mission and no child is left behind. I can not see myself working anywhere else! It would be a crime to the children if this school was closed! This is a school of choice and it should remain that way! I have seen students that have come into my classroom saying they can not read because they are not smart. My purpose is to show my students just how smart they are and I do just that! Every child learns differently and KCC teaches to all the different styles. Do what is best for the children of Hillsbourgh County and renew the contract! We are all about the children!! Keep KCC OPEN!!!!

Posted: June 10, 2013

Two of my children have attended KCC, one for 8 years, the other for 4 years. We have had nothing but a positive experience. The teachers are knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. They keep me up to date on my child's progress and give me suggestions for further helping them at home. They emphasize learning by doing, my children love the hands on projects and experiments they get to do.! It is amazing that we can get the quality of education that we have received at Kids Community College without paying private school tuition fees. As to the other poster that complained about high monthly fees, I don't know what they are referring to! My kids have absolutely excelled at this school.

Kid's Community College is a stellar school in the choice option in Hillsborough county. Students are challenged and provided curriculum and resources to help them excel. The school focuses on individualized instruction base on the theory of multiple intelligence. The school has a strong academic performance and often out performs students at the district and state level (and the school does NOT teach for the FCAT!) Parent involvement is encouraged through volunteering. The culture of the school is wonderful. The students, staff and admin are like family. The school's mission states: "dedicated to the well being and educational success of EVERY chiid". The staff and admin walk this walk each and every day. At Kid's Community College the children always come first. My child has attended since preschool in the 1 year old room and will be starting 5th grade in the fall. I wouldn't send my son to any other school!

Posted: June 10, 2013

Both of my daughters attended KCC and had a wonderful year. My daughter will be attending High School next year, and she will have AP classes next year, because she did so well at KCC. My younger daughter begged me not to send her to a public middle school. We plan on staying at KCC as long as possible!

My children and my family love everything about KCC. The teachers, administrators and staff are awesome. I can't say enough great things about this school. Everyone here supports one another and it is truly a family unit here at KCC!!!!!

Posted: June 10, 2013

Kids Community College has excellent teachers and staff members. The staff members really show a lot of care for the students and it has a great learning environment. KCC has high academic standards and the students academic achievements are always in the top percentile in the county. I wouldn't want my kids anywhere else.

This school is great. I actually work for Hillsborough County School District as an elem teacher and I feel very comfortable having my students at KCC. My children have done extreamly well this school year. The teachers as well as the staff are so caring and go over and beyond expectations. I think if anyone is is looking for an alternative to there home school should consider KCC.

Posted: June 10, 2013

KCC is MY School Choice! KCC is an excellent school. I have three children and they have all attended KCC. I have had at least one child at KCC for the last six years. We left our top rated public school in favor for KCC. I know my children are learning and thriving at KCC and their grades and standardized test scores speak to that. KCC is an excellent school with great teachers, parents and kids who LOVE KCC. Renew KCC!

This school is a lifesaver in a sea of nearby underperforming public schools. Not only is my daughter challenged academically, she is in a great environment with a lot of parent support and great teachers!! I am proud to be a part of KCC

Kids Community College is awesome! My daughter has been at KCC for Kindergarten and 1st grade and she has learned so much! Her confidence level has greatly improved because her teachers have worked with her and understand her learning needs. I highly recommend KCC!

Kids Community College is a great charter school that truly cares about the education and personal growth of all students. My daughter has been attending school through KCC since she was in day care at age 2.5. I would not leave her in the care of any other school.

Posted: June 10, 2013

KCC is a great school. Our kids have been enrolled for years since kindergarten and we've been completely happy with their progress and the support of the school and its staff. All teachers have been willing to go above and beyond and take the education of our children personal. Volunteering and multiple school events makes the school feel like a small community.

KCC is a great school in Riverview. My daughter had an awesome 3rd grade year in Mrs. Coffey's class. My daughter took Spanish, Art, P.E., Library/ Technology and Music to enrich her learning throughout the year. She specifically enjoyed her time in Library with Mrs. Evelyn. Mrs. Evelyn nutured my child's love of reading in Library/ Technology. Kids Community College remains actively involved with the parents, giving us an opportunity to stay involved in our kids education! GOOOOO cougars!!!

This is the best school to work at. I am happy to go to work, and I enjoy seeing my kids grow as they learn more and more each day. I always tell parents they should send their children here. Those who do, do not regret their choice.

My daughter & I had a great year at Kids Community College. I learned and grew as a teacher in a family oriented atmosphere. My daughter was pushed and challenged with the high academic standards, expectations, and rigor associated with KCC. Looking forward to many more years at KCC. Gooooo Cougars!!

Posted: June 10, 2013

This was my three children's first year at KCC and they absolutely love it!! Out of all schools they have attended, public, private & charter, they said this is their absolute favorite. It is a smaller school which gives it such a family feel. My 7th grader received high school credit for algebra this year!! I don't think that would be possible if he were in a larger school with much more distraction. My two elementary children received education more advanced than public school in this area. I cannot express enough what a wonderful school & school family this is!!

Kids Community College is an amazing school!! My child has made great gains at this school!!

My school is Kids Community College. They are an amazing school! My family and I are truly happy with this school! My daughter's grades have improved so much since she has been there! This is the first time that she has made straight A's!! Kids Community College is truly a blessing! I know that she is getting a great education there and is at a safe school!

KCC is everything I have ever wanted out of a school. As a parent it is very important to me the level of education my child receives, and the environment he is exposed to. KCC has been a blessing to my family and my life. KCC has a true family atmosphere. The immense love this school has for the students and the community is indescribable. What this school is trying to accomplish in this community is amazing. I have never seen so many lives changed. I am an avid supporter of KCC and always will be. What the school board is trying to do to KCC is shameful and a disappointment to this community. Renew KCC Charter! Keep KCC open so the next generations of students can experience the love and caring KCC has for all people that enter through its doors.

My children have attended KCC since 2005. Overall, my children's experience has been more than wonderful. I originally chose this school because of the academic program, however, along with that has come a myriad of other positive factors such as a caring enviromnent, safe learning conditions, highly qualified instructors and administration and so much more. I remember searching for the right school for my oldest child and when I found KCC I was overjoyed. I currently have two children at KCC now and I plan for my last child, who is two years of age to attend when she is ready for Kindergarten. I hope to be a part of the KCC family for many years to come. Stacia

Posted: June 10, 2013

My school is KCC and to be honest there is too much negativity on this site, if you want to enroll your kids do yourself a favor and check it out. As with everything you should see for yourself and not listen to anybody else. There are many reasons that I have been working here five years but the main reason is the students. There is tremendous amount of families that are thankful for the school. I love KCC and by being a choice school we are open to any and all schools that are wanting a quality education.

My daughter has gone to KCC for the past 3 years and I could not be happier with her progress here. The faculty and staff are all amazing and I could not see my child attending any other school.

His grades have improved tremendously in every area along with his confidence. The teachers, staff and the parents are in constant communication to work with you and your child in any area that your child needs inprovement. Here at KCC everyone works together as a family for the well being and support of your child.

I have 2 children who just finished their kindergarten year and we couldnt be happier with the results. When we started looking into which Charter schools we hoped our kids would be chosen for, KCC was top on my list, mainly because it came highly recommended by numerous families with nothing but positive things. When we found out they were selected, we were over joyed!!! The teachers and staff genuinely care about the kids education which showed in everything from test scores to parent/teacher conferences. We are looking forward to the upcoming school year!!!

KCC is a wonderful school! They have a long history of strong a academic achievement. However, KCC is not only about strong academics they care about the whole child and do everything they can to not only support your child academically but also emotionally.

Posted: June 10, 2013

My wife and I moved our daughters out of our local district school after several years of declining school ratings. The district school did not meet the needs of our children and did not place any emphasis on improving performance. Since our move to KCC both our daughters have dramatically increased their test scores and are working a year ahead in math.

Posted: June 10, 2013

Kids Community College has been an excellent choice for our elementary age daughters. We came from our district school where our children were falling extremely behind academically. The staff of KCC only wants what is best for each and every student. They have helped my children not only improve tremendously in reading, but they also work a year ahead in math where they are both testing above average. Thank you KCC for your dedication to the well being of your students.

KCC is a great school. The staff is wonderful and always available when needed. My kids are flourishing at KCC and I could not imagine them anywhere else!

Posted: June 10, 2013

They excel at excellence. The teacher parent communication is outstanding. The students are amazing. Public schools could learn something from this charter school.

Posted: June 10, 2013

KCC has always given me excellent feedback on the progress of my two children. With the additional electives, my 7th grader is now getting opportunities that would not be available to her at other schools. The school campus has always been a safe environment that allows for excellent opportunities for both of my kids.

KCC is awesome! The school takes pride and accountabilty in student excellence. The school fosters a culture of learning that positively drive results. My son's academic level has greatly improved since he began at KCC. I thank the staff and administration for their continued support in educating kids in my community. I thank God for such a passionate and caring institution!

My children have been a part of the Kids Community College family since they were one years old. We have have nothing but positive experiences from day one. The teachers and staff are always loving and caring. When a school opened up closer to my home we jumped at the chance to save some gas dollars. That was the worse decision we have ever made. How do you respond when your 8 year old tells you they learn " this stuff last year". Needless to say, we jumped back on the waiting list and were accepted again. KCC, Thanks for you have done for my children. You have provide a foundation for a life of success.

KCC is great. It has been a wonderful experience to have my kids attend KCC. We feel we have made a great choice by picking KCC. My girls have made great strides academically and they have personnel who care about my children's education. It is a shame that there are people that concentrate on a donation that is not required nor is mandatory when the education achieved by our children is above other schools.

Posted: June 10, 2013

This school is excellent. Their standards are higher that the public schools. They require parents to be involved with their child's academics. There is always constant communication between teachers and parents. Love the after school events. My daughter is going to 4th grade and made the principal honor roll. No child is overlooked.

Since my son started attending the schoo this year, I have seen his personality flourish. He is much more interested in school and has become even more passionate about his studies. My other son will be starting 4th grade this year and I could not be happier about the fact that he was accepted here. ABout that mandatory enhancement money, please, it's time to stop the nonsense. They made it very clear at the begining that it is VOLUNTARY.

I am very grateful to the school, the excellent education my kids are receiving, the excellent teachers and the friendly staff. My children are treated with respect and love. We have been blessed with an excellent school for our children. I won't change KCC for any other school.

Kids community College (KCC) is a great school. My Son attended Pre-school elsewhere before joining KCC and the experience at KCC so far has been a true success my little one has been able to learn a great deal in kinder-garden. The atmosphere has made me feel that my son is a great safe place with a very high standard for learning. Their approach has been very positive on my son. The teachers seem to truly care about each kid and their communication with the parents has been excellent they seem to take the time to know each student and the parents.

Posted: June 10, 2013

My two kids attend Kids Community College and I think the experience so far is very superior to regular public schools. Their learning has been great so far and they seem to very more enthusiastic overall about the school experience. So far my Son and daughter have been doing great their math have greatly improve. I find that the teachers are very readily available to communicate students and their improvements. I could not be happier having my two kids attend a great institution where the priority seems to be focus on each student excelling in their academics. I would recommend this school to anyone that truly values their little ones education and want to enroll them in an institution that will truly work hard on teaching the kids the right way.

KCC is a great school, my son loves it and I can not be more happy the way he is learning every day. The Teachers and staff are knowledgeable and very professionals. I love to participate every year along with my son at the 5K race we have so much fun. I can not wait for my 4 years old daughter to start at KCC.

Posted: June 10, 2013

All I can say is KCC is fantastic. My daughter has been a part of KCC since they began - she just completed 4th grade. The director, the staff and everyone at KCC is top notch. I have heard the horror stories about public schools and I was so scared as to what we would do about our daughter's education and then KCC came along and I have never had to worry - we are part of a family. I feel content everyday when I drop her off knowing that she is receiving an exemplary education and she is well looked after. Also, I noticed that some people have complained that the enhancement donation is mandatory - IT IS NOT. I like to think that people seek out KCC because they are looking for a better choice for education. I know I cannot afford to send my daughter to a private school so the small donation that I make is an investment in my daughter's future. Thanks KCC for all you do.

Posted: June 9, 2013

KCC is an excellent school. Please post correct information. There were no mandatory monthly fees. Parents were asked for a donation but it was not required. So, please get it straight!!! I love KCC. They are academically strong and the best school in the area. My kids are thriving and love going to school each day.

Posted: June 6, 2013

The parent that wrote "RUN FAR AWAY" obviously posted on the wrong school. My child is in the 4th grade and the three teachers in 4th grade are the same teachers that have been here all year. We have had our child at KCC since kindergarten and there is no place else we would rather be! There are also no enhancement "fees" as misreported by another parent on this site. It really is a shame and disrespectful to the hardworking, wonderful administration team and staff that work so tirelessly for our children to have parents write untruths. You can have opinions but please don't write inaccurate information. KCC is an amazing school and each and every staff member here from the principal, teachers, cafeteria staff, and board members truly care about my child and every other child that comes through these doors. We look forward to the wonderful things ahead for our child as she enters 5th grade next year.

Posted: June 4, 2013

terrible .... run away fast! this school charges private school prices with substandard results! son't believe me ... just check it's scores and you'll see it's scores are below most county school scores. the principle and teachers have a revolving door with NO consistantcy... often not enough staff and begging parents to watch the kids when the teachers take too many days off! not a good school!

Posted: June 4, 2013

We have 3 children attending KCC and have had wonderful positive experiences! The professors truly care about each child's development and progression. We have a 4th grader - fantastic professors! All 3 of them! Our 4th grader has experienced all 3 professors through KCC's enrichment program (math and reading specifically). All professors have maintained communications with us to ensure our needs are met. Our Kindergarten and Second grade experiences have been outstanding also! We love the parent involvement - this allows for a tighter nit school where parents work together (with the professors and administrative staff) to make our children's experience the best possible! We couldn't be more pleased with our decision to go with KCC!

Posted: June 4, 2013

I completely disagree with the parent review with the counsel to "Run Far Far Away" and There are multiple items to clarify from this review. First, Kid's Community College received a B grade for 2011-12 and 2012-13 grades are not yet released. Second, there has been no turnover of 4th or 5th grade staff this school year and all teachers are college educated and properly certified. Our educational program is rigorous and high performing. We are nearing the end of a very successful 2012-13 and are very proud of our students and their accomplishments. Charter Schools are part of school choice and while this may not be the right choice for you and your family, the facts stated above are simply inaccurate.

Our son will be graduating from Kid's Community College elementary school this year and has been accepted into the middle school program for next year. We have been with KCC since he started kindergarten. Over the years some teachers, students, administrators and others have come gone and some even came back again after learning what I already know. For my family, KCC is an amazing institution that allows and requires that you be a part of the educational process. They listen and respond. You know the administrators and Board not just by name. They are accessible. They are responsive. Most of all, they care. Each year their programs get better and they strive to improve on the year before, starting with asking students, parents and professors for their input. These are things important to my family. They may not be important to others. But in public education, I don't believe you could ask for more than a school that puts your child first and listens to you and your child. I LOVE THIS SCHOOL AND AM THANKFUL FOR IT AND ALL OF THE WONDERFUL PEOPLE THAT HAVE MADE IT POSSIBLE!

My school is Kid's Community College (KCC) Charter School-Riverview South. KCC Charter school is a tuition free public charter school. A consistently high performing school, but also a school of choice. Families choose to be a part of an educational community that provides great benefits to students, but does make demands on time and talents. Each family must determine what is the best environment for their children as there is no one best choice for every single student. Many options can meet many diverse needs and that is the benefit of school choice in the current educational arena. The school remains fully enrolled and excels at academics, sports and supplemental programs. This year they built a brand new campus, for which we have complete input. What a blessing it has been for my family. The voluntary donation requested was less than $35 per month. I would gladly donate much more for the education my children have received here.

Posted: April 5, 2013

KCC is bad school to the whole state and the price each year is horrible. I would not recommend this school to anyone. To be honest, the school year 2011-2012, lots of parents withdrew their children including me.

Posted: March 20, 2013

We are a KCC family of 7 years with 4 children at the school. My oldest started in preschool there and is now in 5th grade. I have recommended our school to many families over the years and none have been disappointed. If you want your child to get the best education possible and you like to be involved with their school then this is the place for you. There is no other school that not only listens to the students needs but, also listens to the parents needs. The small size of the school creates this type of environment. It truly feels like one big family. With our oldest heading off to middle school, we look forward with excitement. We know we don't have to worry about what most families in traditional public do. There is no other school for us.

KCC is truly an extension of our home! It embodies the same educational values we're passionate about for our kids. We have been a KCC family since 2007. The faculty and staff partner with all families to ensure the best educational opportunity possible. Your family will be well-served at KCC!

Posted: February 7, 2013

I've worked for KCC since 2008 and love it here! The culture of our school is more like a family, not a workplace. I can sincerely say that most of the KCC professors I've worked with over the years have a heart and passion for going all out for the students. I can also say that those who don't or didn't are usually asked to come back. In the time that I've been here, we have won a number of awards as the best place to work in Tampa from a number of places and I think it's well deserved. As an educator I wouldn't want to work any where else.

As a parent of a preschool, elementary school and now middle school student affected severely by the economy, my husband and I searched long and hard for a school to replace the private education we'd been able to provide for our children. We interviewed over 7 schools (3 traditional public and 2 charter) and selected KCC. In meeting with one of the Board members, the Director and the founder, it was obvious that the institution truly cares about each individual student, teacher and family. This is our 3rd year and we're still amazed that such a high-quality education is being provided for basically nothing. Volunteer 20 hours, participate in this or that and asking for a voluntary tax deductible donation is NOTHING, trust me. Our children have excelled at KCC and my only regret is that we didn't find them sooner. This is an awesome school for those truly interested in a quality education in a caring, committed environment. Those who aren't, should probably look for a different school.

This is our second year at KCC and we could not be happier with the teachers, administration, and family like environment! KCC has excellent teachers who show they care for each one of their students and put forth the extra effort to make sure that their students excel. KCC also offers challenging academic programs that help students grow. KCC has many athletic opportunities for students as well. We highly recommend KCC!!

We are a family that has been part of the KCC family for 7 years!!! Our 6th grader started KCC in 2006 in kindergarten and is now attending the middle school....and our younger son is now in 1rst grade....Over the years we have seen KCC grow by leaps in bounds, not just in student size but also academically. Our older son did not have the greatest experience in kindergarten when he attended....but once he hit 1rst grade, he excelled tremendously!!!! KCC Charter has always been very challenging for both of our boys and the consistency in the work ethic and curriculum is above and beyond other learning institutions and has definitely paid off. Our older son graduated last year from 5th grade as the class valedictorian....we were so proud of him...he is a child that always aspires for success in the classroom and outside of the classroom environments...KCC also prepares the children very well for the FCATS.....our older son made a "6" in the 4th grade FCAT Writes...that is the best score attainable....The teachers and staff have always been supportive and the boys have had some of the best teachers over the years...every one of them holds a special place in the hearts of our boys!

My family has been a part of KCC for five years now. Personally, we have loved it. To me the best part is the sense of community and the bonds that are built among the students, staff and the parents. You have the feeling that you are a part of something special. We have had exceptional teachers. Once we did have a problem with a teacher and the administation listened and responed to our concerns. My daughters teacher this year provides free tutoring and works with her one on one in areas where she struggles. We are in a brand new, beautiful facility which we appreciate very much and more extracurriculmn activities continue to be added. Being that this is a charter school though and the funding from the state is 60% less than regular public schools, KCC does ask for a $500 tax deductible donation per student to meet the budget. If this is not acceptable to you, then this is not the school for you.( I hope the amount doesn't increase in the future). Also 20 hours of volunteering per student is required. We have been very blessed to be a part of the KCC familyand look forward to completing middle school there also. Be very happy to stay for high school......

I am a satisfied parent who had my daughter at KCC since 2007, who is now in High school. I also have a son who is now in 8th grade. KCC has prepared them throughout the years. I have noticed that when teachers don't give 100% towards the mission of the school, they are replaced by those who really care and teach the students. I have been part of the educational system for many years and have seen teachers who don't have the passion for what they do. The teachers at KCC are supervised and well qualified to carry the students from one level of success to another. As a parent, I will not look any further than KCC. Go KCC!
