Hammond provides so many special opportunities - First Lego League robotics for 5th graders, Math Bowl (both my son and daughter have competed multiple years, whole grade gets a chance to join via test), wonderful AGP teachers. My daughter is finishing 5th this year and is qualified for double accelerated math at Walker Middle. Amazing school with an amazing PTA and school community!!

We absolutely love Hammond and all our Hammond families! Our daughter has had amazing teachers every year she has been there and thoroughly enjoys and is excited about school. Everyone from the front office staff to teachers to the PTA work so well together and do all they can to ensure timely communication and encourage as much parent involvement as possible. There is always something fun/engaging happening at the school that allows for so many volunteer opportunities throughout the school year. I would absolutely encourage other families to attend Hammond!

The teachers here helped my son transition back to in-person learning after a really rough year of transition, and needing a lot of extra love and support. We are really grateful for the compassion and skill of the staff.

VPK ESE /PEEPS program is absolutely wonderful. Mrs. French is phenomenal with these children. Her communication is on point. I am always in the loop with what is happening on the daily with my child.

Excellent school. There is ample homework but its not overwhelming especially in graded k-2 grade.

I have been involved with this school since it opened back in 2007. I was on the original PTA Board and its been an exceptional school since day #1. The teachers at Hammond are phenomenal and they deeply care for their students and ALL of their kindergarten teachers are fantastic. The quality of education here is second to none. My older children got a fabulous foundation and they both have gone off to college for engineer with full scholarships. My two younger children are also excelling at Hammond. The Advance Gifted Program is extremely enriching and the school even offer a multitude of after school programs such Math Clubs. The PTA at Hammond is strong and creative. They have raised a lot of money over the years and it will be clear to see when you tour the school. The school is lucky to have an abundance of volunteer and not a shortage which enables the school to host a number of fun activities throughout the yr such as the Wolf Cub Prowl, Field Day and Jump Rope For Hearts just to make a few. There are opportunities to get to know other families every month at different area restaurants that host the schools Family Fun Nights where a certain percentage is returned to the school. So is you are considering this area you will not be disappointed. Keystone (the Odessas part of zip 33556that is in Hillsborough Co) is beautiful, safe and very family oriented. I have lived in this area for almost 20 yrs and although its grown its still a very small and close knit community and the middle schools and High Schools in the are just as wonderful.

One of the best school in Tampa! Exceptional teachers and administration, they will go beyond and above to help students and parents. Their ESE dept. is best in the Hillsborough County! Very organized! We are so lucky to have such a wonderful school in our neighborhood! Our daughter is progressing well and she is happy and well loved at this school! We love Hammond Elementary!

Hammond is an exceptional school. I have 3 children who attend the school through school choice. One of my children has an IEP and one of my children is gifted and talented. The teachers at this school work hard to differentiate instruction, guiding students to reach their individual best. The school has a very strong music program. My children come home motivated and secure with stories to share about their classes and extras every day. They wake up excited to get to school. Most importantly, this is a school environment of respect and enthusiasm.

Hammond Elementary is a wonderful school. My special needs child has had caring, supportive teachers every year. In addition, the administration and support staff are awesome. Parental involvement is second to none.

Hammond is hands down the best school I've encountered . After, 20 years of parenting, from private schools to public, the administration, teachers and staff are more organized, caring and genuine than any other school around. If every child had this experience we ould all rest assured they would all be getting the very best in education and care.

Great teachers. Art and music classes. Lots of activities for the kids throughout the school year. They also have chorus for 2nd through 5th grade :)

Top 10%...not just in Tampa Bay, but in all of Florida!!! We used the Florida "Choice" system to enroll and we live 30 minutes away.... I can't speak for all the teachers, but the K & 1st grade teachers my son had were fantastic, Especially his 1st grade teacher...he really went above & beyond this year in both his reading & math with her structure & guidance. I would recommend this school to anyone. (Word of note ...Principal is retiring this year, which can always lead to uncertainty)
