Quite literally one of the worst schools I have ever gone to. This school has fights basically every day, the bullying problem here is insane, very violent students, and the worst teachers possible.. at this point teachers just write students up for anything that they can think of and a student was just arrested today for fighting. Both two years I have been here (7 and 8) students have been arrested for drugs and fights.

Upstairs building two always smells like drugs and this school is basically a fight club because there is multiple fights every or other week and most the teachers don't even know what they are talking about and glaze certain people, the bullying problem is insane

There are a lot of fight here and there are a lot of bullying at this school and they dont do anything about it. The school lunch is alright. Some teacher dont teach good. The sport here good. The principal is rude and doesnt care about you at all. This school is alright it just the bullying and the fights at the school.

This school demonstrates a lack of accountability at all levels, from the front office to the teaching staff. Teachers often permit disruptive behavior, which negatively affects the learning environment, and students who stand up to disruptive peers may face unfair consequences. The front office appears to support this approach, enabling poor behavior to persist while responsible students are left feeling unsafe or concerned about potential retaliation. Furthermore, students are assigned online homework without being provided the necessary devices to complete it, creating additional barriers to success. Additionally, some teachers face communication challenges due to limited fluency in English, both written and verbal, which further impacts the quality of education.

I am a 7th grade student here and this school is terrible. This shouldn't be a place your child has to endure everyday. The bullying problem in this school is ridiculous and at the time of writing I don't believe there has been a fight in a while but last year there was one every other week, most teachers don't pay attention to what the kids are doing. However some of the teachers in this school have been amazing and actually care about you. In the end the main problem is the kids, and lack of discipline, they have security cameras but never use them unless they absolutely have to. The worst class for this "bullying" is gym, there isn't enough people supervising the place and there's too much violence. All they care about is the huge stuff not the smaller stuff that overtime personally has damaged my mental health. The only reason im not on the floor begging to be taken out if here is the kind teachers.

Much of the data here is out data including the facts about School Psychologist, law enforcement, security guard etc. BCMS has all of that. There is a Cambridge Program here and they do an amazing job balancing that and a school within a school.

Fantastic school! Can't believe the rating went from a 9 the past several years to a 6? The school hasn't changed for it to drop. I question these ratings. My daughter has received top rated education here. Never hear anything negative from other parents. Most families try to choice into this school because of the great education. Will miss it when she graduates!

We have been with this school 2 years now. Last year the student fights were almost every week, this year only a couple reported. The teachers are GREAT and provide hours upon hours of before and after school tutoring but it is voluntary. This makes the parents responsible for their child as it should be. My son is in Advanced Classes and doing great.

Not a good school , you think your sending your kids to a safe school.( Not) , you have lazy SRO ppl working there. Where they let kids steel from other kids and let them get away with it. Plus letting kids fight in the bathroom.. Don't get me wrong office and teachers are good.. But there are other safer school...

This is our first year at Buffalo Creek Middle School but I have been really impressed by the caring and dedication of the teachers in the seventh grade. It is still early in the school year but so far it seems that we have a great team of professionals who want to do the very best job with the kids.

The teachers are great and I honestly don't think you can find better in this county. The counselors and administration aren't very helpful. However, what I really would like to draw attention to is the children and the bullying situation here. I came into this school as a healthy, stable, cheerful kid who generally had no problems. Now? I'm at the end of my 3 years here and these beings have brought down every little bit of self esteem that I'd built up over the years, for no other reason then being not like them. I've lost the will to live along with the will to learn and the counselors and administration have the audacity to say, 'get over it'. The only reason this isn't getting the lowest rating is because of the lovely teachers who make learning a pleasure and seem to understand without making me speak a single word. Thanks for your time.

School has come a long way. Programs in computers are interesting. They have a steel drum band. They also allow students to tutor at Mills in the mornings. They school has some good sports programs (soccer, cross country, track, b-ball, volleyball). One big class is Learn and Serve. It is one of very few in Florida. It was recognized by the Manatee County School Board for its community outreach and for raising money for the Heart Association. It is one of very few schools that do teaming w/in the grades.

Way better then MSA. The staff is very nice and the teachers are very passionate. The administration is a bit stricter this year, but hey, that's a good thing ;)
