Rubén Darío Middle School has an amazing magnet program! As a parent, Ive seen my child grow so much. The teachers are caring, the classes are engaging, and the program really challenges students in the best way. The staff communicates well and truly supports every students success. Ruben Dario Middle is by far one of the best if not "THE BEST" middle school I have had the pleasure in allowing my child attend. From the first moment in which we walked into this building I felt a sense of kindness, support and safety. My son who is now in 7th grade at Ruben Dario feels not only the dedication and commitment from his teachers and support personal staff but most importantly he feels safe and we as parents feel extremely comfortable in having our son attend this school. I myself am an educator and have been in the Miami Dade School System for more than 20 years and there is nothing more important than having your child feel safe, protected, loved and challenged throughout their school day. The administration goes above and beyond to benefit each one of their students and I truly believe that if a school has an amazing Leadership team which they do the possibilities are endless. A huge shoutout to Mrs. Smith and Mr. Hernandez for making Ruben Dario Middle the BEST CHOICE for my son's education!!!

My experience at this middle school has been outstanding. The environment is welcoming and safe, and both teachers and staff show genuine dedication to students learning and well-being. Classes are engaging and full of activities that encourage participation, creativity, and critical thinking. The school also offers a wide range of extracurricular programs that help students discover and develop their personal interests and talents. Communication with parents is consistent and effective, creating a strong sense of community. Without a doubt, this is a school that truly cares about shaping not only great students but also kind and responsible individuals.

Teachers are experienced, knowledgeable, and caring. For the most part, they have their students' best interest at heart and strive every day to help them succeed. The Medical Magnet Program is a great path for students to explore the various fields of medicine. There is also a chess club that has won several awards, and the yearbook has been awarded top national prizes several times. With improved safety measures, the number of fights and related problems have dropped markedly. The facilities are always clean and spotless, office staff is friendly, and the after-school program is a big plus.

As an educator community member, Im continually impressed by the hands-on, real-world learning students get here. The program blends rigorous science with cutting-edge techthink VR simulations, 3D printing, and lab-based investigationsand backs it up with outstanding partnerships (e.g., FIU, UM Miller School of Medicine, MDC Simulation Hospital). Students have opportunities in HOSA, STEM competitions, and community service that build confidence and career readiness.

The staff is caring, organized, and responsive. Communication is strong, safety is prioritized, and the school culture is welcoming and inclusive. I love the focus on critical thinking, bilingual communication, leadership, and vibrant clubs like Chess and SECME robotics.

Tours and Open House events are informative and well-run, showcasing modern facilities like the Verizon Innovative Learning Lab. Graduates leave prepared for high school academies and beyond, with a solid foundation in health sciences and STEAM.

If you want a middle school that challenges, supports, and inspires students, Ruben Dario Medical Magnet is an easy 5/5. I highly recommend it!

My experience with the Principal was excellent, she is always involved and helpful for students and parents. My daughter is been there for 2 years and I have to tell that always found the help and support needed.

This school is not very good that we say, they do not let us use the bathroom well we have to wait, and if they do not take us out the minute of entering, at lunch they do not let us use the iPad of the school, nor cell phones or carry backpacks, and it is our free time, it does not seem fair to me, the meals they give this year do not seem to me either, since the new principal appeared with all respect the school spoiled so much that even their low rating, also the air conditioning, seems as if they did not have resources, there are times when up to a week without, I hope you can change this because it is disgusting.

its really not that bad. you get what you expect from basic public school. If you are advanced and get highschool classes, life will be made so much easier because it opens up the world to amazing teachers. But either way every teacher here is pretty nice and makes sure you don't suffer.

Food sucks, the students here are troublesome, students steal my stuff, a student told me to kill myself. This school sucks for students but great for parents, also the school is under staff.

they are too quick to expel kids, theirs always fights and instead of trying to find out a way to make these kids calm down they just tell them to leave and make it not their problem anymore, The principal Ms Mcarthy keeps threatning good kids that she promises to expel them before she retires, they force students to cut their hair because they assume students with long hair smoke???? The school needs a new way of thinking because they care more about their image then the well being of their kids!!!

Esta escuela es un desastre para poder ir a recoger tu hijo por una cita médica tienes que ir 3 horas antes porque solo para firmar te pasas 3 horas y si le pides por favor que si pueden llamar a tu hijo hasta se molestan en la oficina y con muy mal carácter te dicen q tienes q esperar,por la mínima cosa quieren expulsar a tu hijo de la escuela, aunque nunca haya tenido antecedentes,no ayudan a los estudiantes al contrario lo condenan como si fuera delicuentes, decepción total,no le doy 0 porque no se puede.

si tienes un hijo con discapacidad este definitivamente no es un buen lugar para él. No cuentan con profesores entrenados ni con un departamento que se ajuste a las necesidades de los niños con diferentes necesidades.

A pesar de todo estoy muy agradecida, con ellos, por recibirnos y cobijarnos, pero en general, no me gusto, los alumnos son horribles, la comida a veces no era muy buena, las normas no son muy respetadas, la pobre directora andaba como si estuviera en el ejercito, en fin los alumnos eran un desastre. este ano escolar mi hijo tuvo algunos problemas con companeros, y se dieron cuenta al final. en estructura es tremenda escuela, ella tiene todo para ser una escuela A, pero aun le falta hacer un filtro muy muy bueno.

As I am new to this country, this is a new experience. Well, when I compared this to other schools, It turned out to be way below than any other average-performing school. It is a good school after all. They respect you if you do good work.

It's a very good school but I will give it only 3 stars due to the new program called "I-prep math". The teachers in that program are very rude and do not listen to the students when they ask for help saying "You didn't even try to learn the lesson." I understand that in the program the children learn independently but the teachers for that program are horrible. I have a A and B Child in advanced classes and in that class my child has a D along with all the other students. I have had many meetings with the teachers in the program but they don't even attempt to fix the problems in anyway. Many children have tried leaving the program but the principal has not allowed them due to the only normal Algebra 1 class is full.

I have had three children in that school who have just graduated and are moving on to high school. I am very impressed in the staffing both administrative and teachers. I have seen very close connections with the teachers and the students which I believe to be very crucial in their teenage years.

It is an awesome "A" school ! The security and discipline are great and the classes are really challenging. I do recommend any kid to go there. So bad the school is still haunted by a sad episode that happened years ago. I truly hope and wish that stigma can vanish soon since the school is really good.
