As a parent of 2 children at Tyndall Academy, I have had nothing but helpful, supportive teachers and staff. My children get excited to go back to school every year. They have developed amazing relationships with the teachers they have and the admin who are involved with the students every day. Thank you, Thunderbirds.

Good morning. Just wanted to let you know this is the worst school I have ever come in contact with..My granddaughter yesterday she almost walked off the campus, if it wasn't for a parent she would have been lost. This is very unacceptable you guys will be reported believe that. Enjoy the rest of your day.

My girls went to this school for the single worst year of our lives. They were bullied and harassed all year and nothing was done. One was slapped and hit multiple times and not one child even saw detention. I asked for help, begged, I was ignored. There was rampant relationship violence and kids were often jumped in the bathroom. Ive never heard of so many miserable kids. Im truly shocked this school has such a good rating. We often heard theyve gone to school here for years, they couldnt be the issue. Usually when it was a teachers child or a child of their friends. There was little to no help when kids struggled with school work and especially not if they struggled with mental health. Their counselor is terrible and they told me the kids mental health wasnt their issue and to find outside counseling. 100% recommend you stay away from this school. Its nothing like any public school or base school weve experienced.

Overall, the school is great. One of my children got bullied, I reported it to the principal, called her 5x, and when I finally got a hold of her, she said she would call back and she never did.

I was bullied a lot in Tyndall, by everyone except the teachers actually. This school also had one of the worse teachers I've ever had the displeasure of being a student to.

I attended this school from 1958 through 1962 when INTEGRATION was new to Florida Schools. It was a great school then too.

Great Principal and teachers. I have always felt welcomed and valued. The PTO is very active and parent involvement is encouraged. Because the school is largely made up of children from military families the students tend to accept new students more readily and friends are made quickly. The P.E. staff are great at encouraging healthy living and do many extras for the students. The support staff is friendly and efficient. All in all, this is an awesome school!
