Awful! Would never recommend this school to someone who loves their child. The things that occurred in the 3 months my child went there were extremely traumatic. So grateful I was able to get my child out of there. For those that are required to have their children there I pray for you, them and their sanity moving forward in the real world. Especially if you don’t have a good amount of communication with them or they are not able to advocate for themselves. So many bullies, so many racists incidents, numerous fights DAILY, stealing, and the laughable little bit of learning that actually happens while still giving good grades is concerning. Moved my child to a new country ache now he may be retained in the grade because although his grades look great, he doesn’t know the information being taught. No child left behind will indeed let your child graduate but not prepare them for the real world. This school needs to be revamped and investigated.

As a former student I will say that there will never be another place like Baldwin. For the first time in my life as a student there I felt like I as truly apart of one giant family .Everyone knows everyone. Your coaches and teachers know you well and care if you are absent and need anything. The sense of community at Baldwin is incredible , I will never not miss that place .The friends I may via sports and clubs will always be in my heart. No the school was not perfect and there are many things that need work . But for what its worth Im glad to be an alumni.

The students and teachers in the school go above and beyond to make people feel like they have the ability to be succesful

Posted: April 18, 2018

There is zero communication from the teachers at this school. The teachers think they are better than everyone else. Teachers are rude and staff are rude.

Posted: April 18, 2018

Bullying is not taken seriously. This is a major problem.

Posted: April 18, 2018

Principal, well do your research. There is a reason she was transferred out of her previous school. And of you don't call her doctor she gets an attitude. That's all she cares about is that you call her doctor.

Posted: April 18, 2018

My child has an IEP and their way of helping is by adding more and more work. This isn't an effective way to help. This is why my child is transferring out.

Posted: April 18, 2018

Bullying is a major problem here. Fights daily. The school doesn't take it seriously. The resource officer is a joke. He actually told me that he didn't wanna do the paperwork cause it was alot.

Never in a million years will my kid go here again. I am paying a small fortune just so my child can get an education elsewhere.

Posted: April 18, 2018

Horrible. They give hours upon hours of homework that is impossible to complete.

Total lack of communication from staff. Won't return phone calls and emails sometimes get ignored. No one seems to care.

Posted: April 21, 2016

The teachers don't teach! Too much time spent complaining about district policies and everything is online. No constructive teaching going on here! Honors Biology and Algebra teachers are the worse.

When the staff lacks honesty and integrity there is no way you can teach a child to do what's right

Posted: April 21, 2016

Lack of diversity and staff do not care. Principal, counselor and staff do not communicate with parents. Also due to the fact much of the staff is related discipline is unequal on all levels. Favoritism for married staff which inappropriate.

I feel that kids are not stressed as much in normal and advanced classes. However, AP classes may get a little pushy on after school work.

Posted: September 2, 2015

Baldwin tries to be like a normal high school, however, it really is not a normal high school no matter how hard administration and staff tries. Baldwin is a unique school, and that idea should be ebraced. I feel like each teacher properly teaches its students, and no one will get "lost in the crowd."

Posted: September 2, 2015

Baldwin may not be the nicest school in terms of looks, but its kind of like a big family. No one goes unnoticed, and it doesn't matter if you are in 6th grade or 12th grade, because students are friends with everyone. Teachers are amazing and will get to know all students. Teachers that I had in eighth grade still say hi to me in the hallways. Baldwin is a cool place to be, and It's not a perfect school, but it is unique.

The staff truly respects the student body. The kids are AWFUL but the teachers are wonderful in everything they do.

Posted: March 19, 2015

This school is horrible. The administrators just let the students do whatever they want. Everything in this school is nasty. It appears that they haven't cleaned anything since The Great Depression. DON'T SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!!!!

My grand child just started at this school as a senior and loves it but has a hard time getting to school as there is no bus near the home . Please extend the bus line out 103rd street east to reach more deserving students.
