Coah and teachers in pickup line push the kids around and scream at them. 6 year old babies are walking around next to 17 year olds cussing and making out in the morning. Teachers are unfortunately forced to follow curriculums that some students need extra help with and they can't keep up, leading to multiple failures. Too focused on test scores and not enough on actual foundational education. No music or art classes, and no library. Overall a gargantuan disappointment.

Mis 4 hijos han ido a esta escuela eh estado ahi desde el 2009 y hemos pasado por diferentes maestros y la gran mayoría han sido muy buenos, la directora que esta ahorita Ms. Gomez está haciendo mucho por esta escuela para que sobresalga y quiere que los padres estén involucrados, el programa del lenguaje Dual es el mejor, mis 4 hijos son perfectamente bilingües, recomiendo mucho esta escuela.

My daughter is a third grader. I was told to medicate my child, my child is bright and needs to be challenged she was just bored and didn't want to do the work. I put her in FLVS and she loves it, she doesn't want to go back to San Jose Elementary. Homeschooling was the best decision for her. The class work load only takes maybe an hour or two to do. Plus the 2 hour lectures on Tuesday and Thursday which are fun and very interactive with being able to socialize with classmates all online from the comfort of home. So for the rest of the day she gets to play and have fun. Whereas a typical school day is 8 hours your looking at only 4 hours on Tuesday and Thursday and only about an hour or two on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Like I said the best decision we could have made for her.

The school is an okay school. They are lacking in organizational skills. The teachers are nice but assistant principle Jeravon Wheeler is extremely rude when talking to the parents. She could benefit from some type of customer service training. It is my opinion that you need to be able to communicate well with both students and parents when employed as a principle assistant or otherwise.

My children go there, and I am proud of the bi lingual education they are receiving. My children are making valuable friendships, and the curriculum is top notch. Love this school.

I have one child who recently graduated from San Jose and went all six years and another that will enter second grade there this year. The teachers and administration will do anything for involved parents. The principal, Mrs. Kemp, is fantastic. Your child can succeed there- my daughter earned two 4s and a 5 on her FCAT for 5th grade. Every teacher has worked with my girls to help them be successful, they only ask for cooperation at home too.

i attended this school for two years (from 4-5) and i am glad i did. i was involved in the wide selection of programs they offered such as safety patrol, morning news crew, violin, and arabic learning class. i also attended their extended day program where we got a whole period dedicated to doing our homework and getting help with it from staff. i also attended chess classes in extended day and we always got to go outside after our homework was finished. this school was a great prep for middle school and there were never any fights. it was always a great learning environment and the teachers, such as ms.jenkins, were very dedicated in teaching us and always making sure we did our best. there are music classes and talent shows and dances and its just an all around good environment. my fifth grade year here was the year i had my best teachers and i did more activities than ever. the diversity is also a god mixture. if you want your children to have a good elementary experience, send them here for sure.

I enrolled my daughter and she is very bright. She is not genious, but she was reading at a second grade level in kindergarten. I asked how they would accomadate her. They said she will have lots of time to do advanced work. Also, they could test her to put her int he gifted program. I would pick her up and she said she worked all by her self all day because she knew how to complete the work. She often sat alone because the teacher had to help the others. The principal then refused to test her. After 5 weeks, we decided to omeschool her. SHe is at a third grade level in each subject and we offer sciences and history that the public schools here does not cover. They also fed her luch at 10:30 and she would not get to eat until I picked her up at 3:00.
