Our son transferred to North Springs second semester of 2021. He was unhappy at the new North Fulton Innovation Academy. He left the new state of the art school for an older school which honestly gave me pause.

He returned for the 2022-2023 school year and is continuing to thrive. He is receiving an excellent education and is well on track to succeed in college and more importantly in life.

The staff genuinely cares about his success, too. I am glad we made the change.

This is our first year at North Springs and we have been so impressed. All the metrics are strong for our family: great teachers (super responsive and really care about their students), excellent principal (great communication), lots of extracurriculars, excellent facility, we feel safe and a part of something. The 9th grade teachers have been fantastic for my son and we can't wait for next year.

We have had 3 students at North Springs. One recent graduate and one now in her Madter program. One student current enrolled. Their needs, and there were many, have always been met with good results. They have had amazing teachers, learning opportunities, great sports experiences as well as developing into well rounded young adults prepared for college and the work force. The school diversity made for a better understanding of all people. The students are comfortable mixing with all students and can find a place where they “fit in” and are accepted.

My daughter currently goes to this school. I moved to Sandy Springs so my daughter could go to a "great" school. I looked forward to the diversity and wanted to get my daughter out of a rough neighborhood. Well, not much has changed EXCEPT for the scenery. The school is full of bullying. Just last Friday, a boy and a girl brutally jumped a girl after school on campus. All fights happen on campus after school. Where the administrative staff is when this happens, I have no idea. The video has been circulating and it is horrible. The boy was at the school the following Monday walking around on campus. My daughter has been bullied with no assistance from the administrative staff. I am appalled and do not wish anyone to send their child to this school at all. I am looking to switch schools for my child as soon as possible.

North Springs is a school with a diverse population. That being said, there are kids that function on level or below, there are kids who go to Ivy League schools after graduation. The point is, North Springs offers support for everyone who seeks it.. Just as private school is not for everybody, public school isn't either. Ive had two children graduate with 30 hours of college credit from AP classes. You have to pass a national exam to get that credit. I currently have a third child enrolled. Is it a challenge dealing with the public school red tape? yes. Does having students with a wide range of abilities sometimes affect overall test scores? yes. Our school has increased it's graduation rate exponentially over the past five years which speaks to the dedication of the teachers and administrators. Go visit! School is more than academics and test scores. It's learning to navigate in the real world.

My daughter graduated in 2016. She was in a highly rated private school and switched because she wanted "bigger" and said the classes were harder at North Springs. They have so many more AP classes than most schools and several levels of a diploma for the magnet program that every child can be as challenged as their gifts allow. She played on multiple teams and got to know the administration and coaches and was very grateful for her experience. She's now in college on a scholarship and felt very prepared. This magnet school is underappreciated!

I heard horror stories about the organization of the Administrators, but to experience was another. They are NEVER on the same page with regard to your child. My daughter was bullied for SIX MONTHS and the staff did NOTHING! They had SEVEN pages of discilplinary action against the other student not include, the evidence I provided of the student and her gang MEETING my daughter outside her classroom, they did nothing! My daughter went from being a straight A/B student to a failing student. I was never even notified until my child MISSED almost a month and a half of school that she was even failing! Never received a call, e-mail, or letter in the mail for tardiness. I updated the school of me moving a YEAR and several times and each time I found that they STILL had not updated my info. My daughter began to hide in various places of the school to try and not run into the gang!! Everytime I went to the school one administrator did not know about this issue from the other!! I now have to PAY to get my MAGNET student back on track to graduate! This school failed MISERABLY on communication with me as a parent. So, if your child attended this school, I suggest you create your own excel spreadsheet of when assignments are turned in, make sure that teachers are logging grades(they take months to do that), and keep record of ALL calls and documents!! They will have your minor child signing off on docs and not even provide the parent with them! I just say, STAY ON THEM!! Hopefully the new principle will bring order to the school.

I have had one student graduate and one student is a rising senior. Diversity is a plus and my children have had opportunities that have helped them achieve their goals. Is the school perfect? No. Is every teacher great? No. However, the majority of the faculty that I have interacted with over the years have been tremendously helpful and have cared about my kids. The parental involvement is good, although we would always like to see more, the ones that do get involved, really do care.

i currently have a rising Jr, and have been blown away by what is offered at this school! There is so much going on, there truly is something for everyone! The teachers have been fantastic, approachable, communicative. My child came from Sandy Springs Middle School and was more than prepared for his honor/AP classes and i feel he is on his way to be more than prepared for whatever college he goes after. Thank you North Springs!

North Springs offers many opportunities for every student to succeed through sports, clubs and academic choices. When some students choose not to do their best or are unable to do their best due to forces beyond their control, it is a lesson to all. North Springs has been a fantastic high school for my son, a rising junior. He has been able to choose from so many different classes-from acting to AP classes. I feel the teachers have been supportive and encourage to reach his true potential. I am happy to see thriving parent involvement there. The diversity allows for the kids to realize that the world is this way- full of many different kinds of people from varied backgrounds. I feel he will be very prepared for college after graduation from North Springs.

I have a rising Junior at North Springs high school. We transferred from a private school that my son attended through eight grade. Our experience with North Springs has been positive. I am most impressed with the amazing relationships between this diverse group. This is such an important life lesson for our children. The magnet programs are outstanding and offer so many options for your student to build on their strengths and interests.

North Springs is a very diverse and accepting school. I have never seen a school with so few cliques. Students of various interests and talents can find their niche here. The course offerings are many and very varied. Athletes can find an opportunity to participate in most sports here. Administration works hard to accommodate students various needs and most teachers are very talented and dedicated.

For those students who are interested (and have parents who encourage them,) the school develops honesty, integrity and fairness through interactions with teachers and fellow students, programs, etc. There are students who do not heed these lessons and whose parents don't reinforce it at home, and it is a shame that they do not take advantage of these opportunities to grow as a person and develop strong moral character. Any downfalls in this area are more related to the students themselves than the efforts of the school.

I am a parent of 3 North Springs High School students (2 recent graduates and one rising junior) and am more than pleased with my kids' experiences, as well as my own experience. When my oldest daughter first started at NS, I chose to get involved by volunteering for PTO activities, school store, the foundation, etc. In doing so I was able to create personal relationships with administrators, teachers, parents and students. This enabled me to form a better picture of the environment in which my kids were spending their days. I found that I was very welcomed into the school community. All 3 of my children have found mentors and cheerleaders who have helped them through their struggles and celebrated their success with them, even after graduation. When students seek personal connections to teachers as mentors, everything changes for them. An overwhelming majority of teachers were committed to helping my children succeed, probably because my children showed an interest in succeeding and were willing to work for it. Their academic achievements helped the older 2 receive admittance to colleges of their choice, as well as scholarship opportunities to help us with the tuition. In addition to the academic growth, my children also grew tremendously as individuals and as citizens of our community. They developed an amazing strength of character, learning to push through adversity and work towards goals, work well with others who have similar interests as well as others who may have not share a common interest or motivation. They were well prepared for their next steps after high school

First and foremost, the quality of the education my recent graduates received was superb. As demonstrated by the affection they received at graduation, the teachers went above and beyond and were committed to my children's success. We saw lots of school spirit at sporting events, school plays and other after school events.

We have two children who graduated from North Springs. One is a student at Ga. Tech and the other at South Carolina. North Springs gave both children a chance to grow in their fields of interest. We felt the diversity of friends was a POSITIVE impact of the school ! They had a chance to be involved in community service, school clubs and sports. Parents have every opportunity to participate in school activities and make a difference in our community. Our children are making a difference at their respective schools and will be assets to the communities they join after graduation.

The teachers my children encountered in the Honors and Advanced Placement classes challenged them and encouraged them to work harder. There are exceptions in every school, but the overwhelming majority of teachers we encountered were highly effective.

My kids graduated from North Springs last year. My daughter just finished her first year at Tulane and my son his first year at Georgia Tech. I was co-president of the PTO for two years and involved in the Dance Booster Club. During those two years, I worked with most of the faculty and a lot of the parents at North Springs. As a parent, I loved North Springs and everything it offered my children, academically and socially. The faculty encourages parent involvement and appreciates it. The teachers at North Springs are dedicated and passionate about their jobs and care deeply for their students. North Springs offers several academic paths, on level. honors and Ap's. My kids were well prepared academically for college and socially for the real world and I attribute that to their years at North Springs.

A lot of these parents are bad-mouthing North Springs and the majority of yall haven't really paid attention to what's going on in the school. We do have our problems. The administration could do a lot better because they are not organized. Just because they are the first people you greet when you walk into the building does not mean that the respect the school is like that. Since it is a high school with 1749 students in it and it was built in the 1960's you can only keep it so clean. Our sports teams are great. Our track team is second in the US. Our basketball team has been undefeated. Our test scores are not the entire picture. for example, I may fail geometry, but I could be a genius at calculus. Our test scores are not accurately represented for the students. North Springs has problems, but we have improved. North Springs is NOT the "horrible" place a bunch of people say it is. Truth be told, North Springs is what you make it. You can be anti-social and say it is a bad place, or you can put on a smile and make the best of it and see it for what it truly is. Half of these people saying bad stuff about Spartan Pride haven't had any type of experience with it, so that means that you don't really know what's happening in the school or you just think you do. Look up your facts before you judge what you THINK is going on.

Unlike the previous review, I found the registration process easy as long as the proper documents were brought to the school. I was impressed and found it comforting that the school was very strict as to the documents that were accepted for enrollment - the school runs a tight ship. Appointment process was easy. Great school with a hands on principal.

The staff are completely clueless and unorganize . I was getting my daughter register in this school.Everything that was needed to be done for her registration Ive tooken care of it. As I came to the school to give The lady all of my documentation . she tells me I'm missing something ,so I said ok I'll have what you need from me tomorrow .I came back up to the school the next day to see the lady again and she tells me great this is what I needed now I need something from you . This paperwork u gave me isn't right . From their It begins to be a problem because you'll assign me to a certain task but then wait till the next day to mention something else wrong .Instead of telling me all the errors in my documentation while I'm their. she made it so hard for me to register my child in.At the end of the day she should do everything it take to make my daughter get in school and get her education . Instead of slowing the process ..The staff is horrible. I would ask for a certain person to speak with they always say this person hasn't made it in yet. I'll ask well when we'll they'll be here , they mention they don't know . School opens at 7:00 am everybody that works in this school should be here all at the same time .Mostly everything I ask from this staff has been i don't know or I'm not sure .

My daughter received a schedule change and was plucked from a solid, effective teacher's class only to end up with the most awful teacher we have ever encountered. I use the term "teacher" loosely, here. This individual was a sponsor for an extracurricular activity at the school, and it was clear that this club was her priority. Teaching the AP class clearly was not. My daughter's class received few reading and writing assignments, unlike the other AP classes. Instead, the teacher gave one writing assignment (yes, one) and gave lots of vocabulary tests. She told my daughter's class that, if they made a B in the class, that they should be glad because a B was "gold." She frequently told the students she was very busy, thus, she did not have time to respond to parents' emails. Being in this individual's class cost our daughter a year in which she could have been prepared for college. To top it off, an administrator told parents that this teacher was one of the school's "very best teachers." To be fair, we have encountered a few good teachers at North Springs. We have had our share of average to poor ones at the school, but this individual took the cake. The school year could not end fast enough. Other issues include messing up students' schedules. We have set up our daughter's schedule at year's end only to have the schedule messed up with our daughter being taken out of honors classes and placed in on level classes. It is never the other way around. Is it that students are systematically being taken out of honors/AP classes to make room for preferred students? I have no idea, but North Springs has been a disappointment for this family. Consider sending your children elsewhere.

My daughter attended North Springs and it was by far one of the most unorganized schools she's attended. We couldn't wait for the year to end. On a side note I found the staff and administration to be extremely unprofessional.

My daughter attended 9th grade here and I must say it was horrible! She had two teachers if I'm honest. Most of her teachers were not concerned about her education at all. The administration was extremely unprofessional, unorganized and at times down right mean. Even when we were trying to transfer the front office couldn't get her paperwork ready in a timely fashion. It took North Springs over a month to get her paperwork together. I don't recommend this school at all. If you can afford it, put your child in private school or don't move to this district at all.

The visual and performing a arts program is really good, but teachers outside those programs do not give a crap about anything. The way the student interact is horrible.

North Springs is an okay school .Some teachers may give off bad vibes or have heavy accents but you cant expect every teachers to treat you nicely or with respect.They are rude some of the administrators and janitorial team are also rude and incompetent .The education and experience are great if you apply yourself .There isn't really bullying .Sex and drugs would be the same at any other high school.Dr.Ruiz is really cool and interacts with the student to find problems and try to help them.He even taught a class because of a long term absence of a teacher.Very diverse no major racism (you can find racism anywhere).Ive had one problem and thats being singled out for a cheating scandal that i didn't partake in.NS just needs to work on discipline while keeping the actual interests of the students in mind.

I can't wait for senior year for my student to come and go next year! This has been the most unorganized school I have ever been involved with and I have 2 older students that went to different high schools so I have experience there. Maybe if you are in honors or AP classes it is better, but if you are in on level or have an IEP you are on your own. No one follows up in a timely manner and it is obvious no one in administration will do anything about incompetent teachers. Make copies of all your work because it is likely to be lost repeatedly. I regret not having transferred my student somewhere else in mid 10th grade. There are a few good teachers there that care, but I honestly don't know how they stay there and deal with all the disfunction and disorganization at the school. My child would say the same as me and also can't wait to be out of a school where many ,but not all, of her teachers have been incompetent.

It's funny how most of the parents are saying bad things about North Springs, but they're not a student so they know absolutely nothing about it. Just because you're child or you (if you were a student) had a horrible experience, doesn't make it a horrible school and it doesn't make it the same experience for everyone else. I absolutely LOVE North Springs! This is my junior year and I've enjoyed every moment of North Springs. The faculty, staff and students are so diverse. We LITERALLY have students from everywhere. I'm Nigerian and there are Nigerian kids that I can communicate with, along with students who are from Hawaii, Taiwan, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, Brazil, Cuba, and other foreign countries. I'm blessed to say that I went to North Springs. I'm not going to say that North Springs is perfect because we most definitely do have major problems, but no school is perfect, and all schools have major problems, some more severe than ours. The Magnet Program and the Academic Program push the students harder to get the diploma that the want like the Academic, Advanced, or Magnet Diploma if they work really hard. All I'm saying is don't knock it 'til you try it.

This school is an absolutely the worst place for a student to attend! The teacher's & staff NEVER return phone calls & e-mails.My honor's & gifted student who skipped two graded attended for one semester & became very depressed and ill from being there. I had to take her out so that her stellar academic record will not suffer even more. Her grades started to drop because of the lack of organization & disrespect from a teacher. Not to mention when her teacher's ever decided to show up. Dr. Stueve is the most ineffective & hands off principal that I have ever met. Some teacher will find the need NOT to put grades in for several weeks & blame your kid,to cover up their inability to keep a grade sheet, grades mysteriously changed. It took me months & several calls to the Fulton superintendent to get any type resolution & a call back from staff. It took me 2 months to get a report card and 4 months for transcripts. My child's current school had to fix their mistakes although she was ahead 1 year prior to attending NSHS. We hated this place so much we moved back to our home state & my child is SAFE & is excelling. The Latin teacher is the best ! Poor leadership,poor teacher's ='s NSHS!

The school has a horrible administration and all the great teachers have either left or are leaving. What is wrong with the Fulton County School Board and Leadership at the county level that would allow the administration to run off the best and brightest of teachers? It is really a horrible place for students and teachers. Do not send your child currently to North Springs Charter High School.

It is a fantastic school that is very diverse and has a place for everyone. The teachers are great and really help each student reach their full potential and spend one on one time with their students that struggle. I would recommend it for any student.

I enjoy going to North Springs, it's just not as amazing as I thought it would be. They widely promote the magnet program, but when you get to school no one even knows about it. None of the teachers have a clue about next year's academies, which I have been very confused about. I am in two on-level classes, math and spanish, and the kids are HORRIBLE. The teachers are not even trying to make these kids learn. A lot of my friends agree that the on-level classes are awful and you can't learn anything. The honors classes, on the other hand, are wonderful! The teachers are great and they engage the students so everyone doesn't just learn, but actually has fun in the class. Even if you aren't an honors student normally, take an honors class because the teachers will really help you learn the stuff. All in all, North Springs averages out to be an okay school, it could be better!

THIS SCHOOL IS JUST . . HMMM NOT AS GREAT AS THEY SAY IT IS . The school is dirty and filled with roaches crawling all up the walls , locker rooms, and bathrooms . There is never tissue in the bathrooms and the toilets are GROOOSSS ! Janitorial staff is slacking on the cleaniness. The teachers aren't as bad, except how they don't communicate very clearly and dont follow up with you. I feel as a student uncomfortable going here, It's unclean and just a bunch of lies that were in the magnet contract . I feel as if this school is a waste , the counselors won't change your schedule so you can have the classes that you need to graduate and complete for your college pathway. This needs alot improvement and I clearly see there is no Charter . You lost that along time away , because you wouldn't be suffereing for funding things at the school .

DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT ...enroll your student at this school, UNLESS.....you want to pay (HIGH) fees to a school that is portraying itself as a "CHARTER" school!! Do the research, they lost this a long time ago due their LOW scores! Also if you want your children influenced by ALL the other "BAD" students there! Oh lets not leave out the caring Administration, that will NEVER solve any issue that may arise with your student, The wonderful Principal that NEVER returns phones calls, until SHE feels ready, the other staff that once your child have an issue (they label them as the problem) instead of getting to the root of the issue! This school is a "JOKE" academically and sports wise.....this school could possibly recover if: they clean house by replacing administration and allowing ONLY district children to attend the school......."if" you are considering this school...RECONSIDER...READ THE OTHER REVIEWS AND IF YOU NOTICE MOST OF THE PARENTS ALL HAVE THE SAME ISSUES

My child had great potential and was selected to attend the Magnet program. Unfortunately the Magnet program is a ruse, where achieving students are used to improve the grade level of a school with very low performing general students. This program is there only so that the school can get better government funding. Unfortunately for my child, he was pulled down by the general population at the school and did not end up performing very well. The teachers and staff don't have much interest in the students, and we found it very hard to get ANY information from anyone. We found the school very apathetic.. Don't send your child here!

Leadership is a problem here. I feel like teachers and parents should work together to make a successful student...and while they SAY that's what they are all about, they're not. I know from personal experience. I've tried to contact at least two different teachers and actually had one write a very insulting email about me intended for the principle, but she accidentally sent it to me instead. I know EXACTLY what they think of parents who are trying to be involved...and Lisa Stueve did nothing. I didn't even get an apology. Needless to say, I pulled my daughter out of there. Her grades have improved and she said she is much happier at her new school as she complained about how the teachers/staff and students interact with each other. No respect. No leadership.

Average academic school. Some great teachers, but most are just fair. The school lacks leadership where it's principal is concerned. Dr Lisa Stueve is between fair and in competent at best. Several good teachers have left the school because of her inability to lead. Will not be sending our next child to this school next year unless there is a change in leadership at this school.
