10/10-This school was actually one of the top 3 factors when we were house hunting. We love Harris County, but we particularly wanted to be in the NMHE school zone because it is that wonderful.

All of the teachers genuinely care about their students and will go above and beyond what is required of them.

Teachers not only teach what is on the lesson plan, but also guide students in life lessons and promote honesty, integrity, compassion, and empathy.

The school runs very efficiently while still giving that family vibe.

I am amazed at how well the teachers can notice the differences in learning abilities in each child and adapt their lessons and teaching methods accordingly.

The teachers and staff do not condone bullying in any sense. All of the teachers make themselves available for students to feel comfortable talking to them if a problem arises.

We have been so excited to feel part of this school and moved here inexplicably for this reason. Luckily we have been well pleased!

It is subject relevant to what is taught in the classroom. The students seem to excel and showcase what they know. I have seen them spark on even the tougher subjects because of the individualized teaching with some of the best attitudes from the teachers being contagious! /:-)

Knowledge is great, but ability to teach is at the peak here!

Posted: August 31, 2020

Yes, even with rewarding little gestures of kindness and telling them how much the other children look up to them as a role model.

Posted: August 31, 2020

The staff from the lunchroom, secretaries, Parapros, Teachers, Vice Principal and Principal are very easy to communicate on every level!

Posted: August 31, 2020

Individual pace of learning is great for those that need extra instruction to those that are not held back and excelling. All of them being taught to push through to achieve their goals.

Yes, in every case ours have been involved in; they have been lead to the correct and appropriate manner to be an honorable citizen.

My grandchildren began attending NMHE in August 2018. /the teachers and staff went overboard to make them feel at home. My grandchildren are very happy to be a part of NMHE for the 2nd year and I'm very happy that NMHE became "their" school.

They give insight to lessons and homework as well as volunteering to give EXTRA help to any and every student that needs it.

Posted: August 29, 2019

It not only develops strong character but also helps to develop a sense of pride within the students

I am overjoyed that my son goes here for PreK. My husband camped out overnight for 18 hours to get a spot (limited because it is a lottery program) along with all the other parents...but here's the thing: they were happy to do it. We are proud of our school and love that the staff all seem to take a hand in caring for your child in some way because it is a smaller school. The facilities are clean and well taken care of. I also appreciate that you are invited to come to the school to check in on their progress and to see how it is being run. We couldn't imagine being anywhere else and will gladly camp out again when our next child starts preK!

New Mountain Hill Elementary in Fortson Georgia. Our son just began attending their pre-K program. I waited outside for more than 18 hours (really!) to get him in, and can say honestly that I see why parents are willing to do that to get their children into this school. The teachers are warm, caring, but professional and I feel so blessed to have my son attending.

We have been at NMHE for 3 yrs now and my kids have absolutely loved it!!! Each year the teachers have been great!! We are very sad to be PCSing to Ft Bragg... For those of you moving to Ft Benning from Ft Knox due to BRAC, I HIGHLY recommend this school. You're not going to find schools that top Harris County!!

I 'love' the school because they are a small school that appears to mostly care about the children. My grandchildren appear to be as educated as well as the public school has to ofter these days and I appreciate that. Whenever I visit to pick up the children the staff is always pleasent and I see examples of how they care. Example: One day they were having 'hat day'. One little guy had his hat on backwards. The staff member asked why he had his hat on backwards, he said because his brother (older) wears his this way. (she did not know I had walked up to overhear this) . The staff member said 'well we don't wear our hats backwards here'. The backwards hat is a tell tell sign of a negative attitude/ 'loser', my opinion only.

I have loved every day my children have gone to NMHE! It is a well-run school (thanks Mr. Ray) and the teachers are awesome! I have been VERY impressed with everything my kids are able to do. They have the toughest curriculum to make the smartest kids. As a pediatric nurse practitioner in the Muscogee county area, believe me I know that not all school districts are the same. I take care of kids from 5 different school districts and NMHE & the other 3 elementary schools make thei students learn. NMHE teachers keep their parents informed and on top of the kids' education!! I cannot say enough about this school!!!!
