Absolute worst school! We were re-zoned to the school, taking us from a great teacher and then giving us someone who was a teachers aid out of retirement instead of a real teacher. Even with that she was far better than the teacher assigned halfway through the year. My child absolutely hated going here to the point where they wouldn’t get out of the car in the morning. The teachers are bullies in the school has nothing to offer academically for children. With home life changes I was finally able to pull my child out and homeschool them for the remainder of the year because of how terrible the staff was at the school. Teachers have no regard for student safety, especially in the carpool lines where they are texting on their phones or not present at all. Don’t bother trying to talk with the principal because it’s alarming how much she doesn’t know about her own school and has no answers. Do what you can to avoid.

The staff at the front desk are really petty. My first time visiting the school, I would never come back.

My children have been bullied by students and staff alike. The art teacher is rude and abrasive. She thinks it’s okay to scream at your child in front of you. She has made my art loving child HATE art. The teachers are trying to create little soldiers and if you try to say anything about their mass punishments you’re painted as a bad parent. My kids have had their lives threatened, been hit, had things stolen, and have become very emotionally unstable because of this school. They’ll tell your kid to be 100% accountable but there’s no accountability for the school. Good luck if your kid has special needs that require social/emotional intervention because you’re SOL and also a bad parent. In this schools eyes if you don’t beat your children you’re a bad parent with disrespectful kids. I wish I had the ability to just pull my kids and homeschool.

Both my children have gone to their school. My kids absolutely loved each and every one of their teachers, all the staff at the front desk, lunch room staff, well everyone. They care about these children and I support BGE to the fullest.

I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone. The school doesn't make families feel part of their child's education. We came from a larger city and when my Child started school I figured beginning of the year review , nope they were behind the school we were at previously. My child didn't learn anything new the whole year. We went from being excited about school everyday to waiting till we could be done I met with the principle and vice principal . I felt I was talking to a wall. I was disappointed that this school doesn't have family projects to bring the family together in a learning fun family at home experience . Our old school did a family project every month for kids to do with their family outside of school. I was shocked my daughter never got book order forms other than the 2 times the book fair came. Their testing system for "gifted /ap" placement is ridiculous, a child can score and pass with 90's in math and reading and have a 99% (passing) for "motivation, but you deny for "creativity " how does one decide who is creative ???? I pulled my child from liberty county schools because of this and many other reasons . So happy I don't own a house here to pay property tax because it's a shame how they aren't being spent properly on our children's education. Happy we are moving in 6 months.

The staff is very uneducated as a whole, starting at the level of the principal. I found they are unfamiliar when concerning legal rights of students and parents. Schools and their staff are supposed to encourage students and assist them in meeting educational goals. Instead they make family members feel unwelcomed as well as the children attending. I have never seen a school that intentionally tries to destroy children mentally and educational wise. Many parents are having these issues and share similar concerns but don't acquire legal assistance to bring these issues to light. I have witnessed discrimination here and violations by law relating to children's' education. The staff is rude and calculating to, them it seems children are casualties that they don't care to loose. I wonder if this would be different if it were their children. My child was lost on the first day of school with NO Apologies and railroaded pertaining to their education. The staff didn't care to correct their errors and didn't show any compassion for the emotional damage my child received by various events. Parents if you love your children and want them to actually learn don't send them keep looking.

I have never seen such unfriendly, rude and unprofessional people at an elementary school. I should of done my research before putting my child into this school.

I absolutely love the school that my girls go to. I love the friendly staff, they are always so patient and always keep me informed on whats going on in the school. They have had no safety issues, the teachers are amazing. If there was ever an issue with my girls and their grades changed even by a couple points they would let me know. I wouldn't choose any other school.

While this school is far from our previous school , Jordye Bacon, it has been great for our 4th grader. We were lucky and have had the same teacher again for 4th grade that we had for 3rd grade. So far we have had great success in the Liberty County School System. It is all about how much you want to be involved.. and the respect that you show the teachers and staff. Your child's education is a joint endeavor , not just the schools.

BGE is a joke. My kids have gone to military schools since pre-k and have never had any problems in class or academically, but this school year already seem to be struggling and only less then a month in. Both NY kids dread going to school now, my 3rd grader is swamped with homework daily. I believe in homework but when a child at this age is having as much as she does and cries bc she's so overwhelmed there's a problem. Lunches- that's been a pain from the get go with BGE. My 1st grader was just fed 1 milk & 1 apple( no protein, bread) and when all of them were confronted they called my kids lyers bc "that's not BGE school policy". After reading all these comments I'm convinced my thoughts of what might be taking place are actually happening. Very disappointing.

Ok im starting to think the reviews on here are right. We just noved here n my youngest is in kindergarten school started on aug 7 n its on the 22 . My son has had 3 notes/numbers sent home by this teacher. Ok im not staying my child is a saint by not a problem child. My son has been going to school since he was born , so I know he is advanced n most area than the rest of his class. I think my child is not being challenge enough the homework he gets he gotwhen he was 4 n preschool. Yes he says I hate school its boring all we do is color , and we don't go out side . I think the teacher is just sending home notes for everything n not even noting the problem how am I suppose to talk to my child or believe u if nothing if stated. Just a color or number of what he is doing wrong that day. Elaborate on your pbis key please.

The worst school I've never seen! The teachers are very rude, the children eat lunch on dirty table, because after breakfast nobody clean the table. I think BOE need to focus on this school.

Worst schools. The teachers are straight up horrible. The lunch is bad.I would consider to giving your child something good to eat and can be able to fill them up cause that lunch does not.The principal is so lazy. Please for your souls take your children to a different school.

If you notice...the only positive reviews on here are from teachers at this school. So, that right there should show you how well this school is doing. My son is in Kindergarten and we have only been living in Hinesville for one year. After this school year, we will be pulling him out and sending him to another school. I have not been satisfied at all at this school. I feel that my son is treated poorly by his teacher and the things they are learning he already knew at 4 years old in Missouri. Update your curriculum Georgia!!!

this school is ran like military boot camp. No talking EVER not even at lunch, the 3 teachers my kid had there did nothing to facilitate learning social interactions, how to deal with bulling etc. when my child was severely bullied she had to explain the incidents in front of the whole class which only lead to further bulling of the whiner. DO NOT send your child there if he/she is "gifted" that program does nothing to stimulate their brain. very very disappointed with the principal and the teachers!
