The drop off/pick up is well organized and runs smoothly. The front office seems to be bothered by parents. The security is good at this school. The cafeteria is a mad house. The library is nice and librarians helpful. The P.E. teacher is awesome and the kids love her. The art teacher is rude and tells students that she does not like their work instead of offering constructive criticism and suggestions for improvement. The classroom teachers need more training on how to take control of their classroom in a healthy, but effective manner and children need to receive consistent discipline with punishments proportionate to their bad behavior. The school does an excellent job of involving parents in family night activities and field day. Something should be done about the outdoor premises to better control fire ants as kids are always coming home with a ton of bites since there are mounds everywhere.

The computer teacher is good. Mrs. Busby is a 5 star teacher hands down and my son learned so much from her and idolized her. My daughter had to switch classes twice and eventually I just gave up and pulled her out of this school. My son loved his teacher at the beginning of the year, but something happened with the numbers and they took her away to use for teaching a different grade and he got merged into another class. That is when everything went downhill with the teachers. His new teacher would scream, yell, and humiliate students in front of other students then deny it to parents and the principle. I heard from multiple kids that he commonly did this. That is no way to handle things. There are effective manners to discipline a child without resorting to verbal aggression.

Kids here do not know the first thing about respect, compassion, or integrity. They are not reprimanded on their bad behavior and taught good behavior. They could care less when someone tries to tell them something because they know that there are no consequences to their actions.

Bullying is rampant here and commonly overlooked.

This school has a serious problem with bullying. When a child tries to talk to the teachers about it they are told that they are lying. This is not a safe nor functioning learning environment

My son has attended FLE for the past 2 years. I love that his teach a year ago and now have no problem texting or emailing me when they had/have an issue or send home paper work for me to keep up on how is doing in class and what he needs to work on the new principal is just as amazing as the last every student gets the same treatment regardless of anything the staff is amazing and they make sure that their information is know if not they find out for you right then and there I love this school and looking Forward to our third and final year in 2016

Two of my sons have had the privilege to go to FLE and now my youngest son is there! My daughter will be there next year and I am really excited! You can not ask for a better staff that works at FLE. Mrs. Hellgren is one awesome principle and the office staff is excellent as well!!! The teachers are exceptional when it comes to the children and they are definitely about the child's well being and the ability to learn. Definitely my school of choice, when it comes to an elementary school in Liberty County!!!!

Love this school. This is my sons second year at FLE and I couldn't be happier. Staff is awesome and he has learned a lot. Everyone is treated fairly by the principal or staff. Very friendly atmosphare and the school is clean!! They keep the kids busy with all sort of things and have a super reward system. AND they include the parents!!! Just an excellent school.
