Dealing with Lyman Hall staff and teachers have been great for me. I have child that is in special needs and one that is attending kindergarten. The teachers are very supportive. The school is very clean. During the pandemic they only had about three to four students test positive.

I would knock it down one star due to communication, but I will cut them some slack due to the pandemic and we're all going through some issues while trying to get our life back to normal.

Attendance policy could be worked on, also. The excused/unexcused absences. Needing to have a note and on the fifth unexcused absence. They will call social services. That's a bit harsh and needs to be reworked. Especially during this time when as much as cough or sneeze and I am keeping my kids home for that day.

my experience at the school has been awful I feel like I'm in a circus always having to redirect or email a teacher over small matters that they overlooked because they are not open to listening. all it takes is one teacher to listen to solve a problem and a solution and to carry that information out to the other teachers so that everybody can be on one Accord. here at Lyman Hall that is not done I have not felt the difference since the last year my children have both fallen behind last year and then are now starting to fall behind again this year. All because their IEPs are not being followed as stated add because they lack the teachers to help support these students. I feel very upset yet for my own children but yet I feel more sad for the teachers.

No I do not agree the teachers are not effective. how can you be effective if you sending your disabled students in time out every time they make a noise rock or draw in your classroom? The key word from all of this was disabled to students.... How can you punish children with disabilities for their ability? There is no love and compassion in the school system that I have seen yet. Everyone technically look like they work solo doing their own thing nobody collaborates with another. effective of workers come up with solutions in plans to get to that next level to make sure their children are cared for and are learning the material that is given out, not overwhelming them or yelling at them 24/7 I cannot tell you how many times I walked into the school system and watch these teachers yell at these students. Don't they have workshops to teach and train these teachers about this stuff?

One thing I can say about Lyman Hall they are closely watching their students and they respond immediately to bullies in their school.

I had to go to the school board and request for my children to be transferred to a different school. Teachers do not enforce rules or disciple the kids with punishment fitting their bad behavior. They simply say don't do that, give them a tally mark on the board and move along like nothing. My son was harassed in the restroom and she just gave the other 2 boys tally marks without even contacting their parents! If my son harassed another student I would want to know about it so I could properly address the situation and discipline him accordingly. A month after this occurred, my daughter had a girl follow her to the bathroom every time she went and peek under the stall at her. She told the teacher and the teacher did nothing. She even still allowed the girl to exit the classroom after my daughter was already out to use the restroom enabling this girl to continue to follow and watch my daughter! It got so bad that my daughter would hold it all day and wound up at the Dr. office with a UTI from it. The kids here are loud and do whatever they want. I went to have lunch with my kids regularly and every time you could hardly hear one another even sitting side by side because of all the yelling. If the kids were yelling then the adult helpers in the lunchroom were yelling for them to quiet down which only made it louder and resulted in no change. I do not recommend anyone enroll their kids in this school.

Horrible! Teachers are more concerned with children answering questions wrong (5 days not recess) but when kids are stealing and destroying things from their peers it is a tick mark on the board. Sometimes lessons go farther than just academics. Sometimes you need to teach common sense and life lessons.

My children have only been going to this school one month and already I have had to place 3 phone calls to the office about one of my children. I do not like this school and would recommend taking your child across town to go to a different school in the county! My children hate the school! And I don't like the way some of the teachers handle my children! I should not have to worry about how bad of a day my child has at school especially one of my children I have never had a problem with at school!

This school is not family friendly. The front desk staff looks at you like what are you doing here, I don't want to talk to you. I hear teachers constantly screaming at children during breakfast and when they are out of school. Also if you want to talk to a teacher they make it so you have to talk over the phone or you need a meeting. The children are labeled by a behavior chart that stays with them during the time they are at that school. Liberty County needs to put their nose down, hinesville is not a city they dont care about children, there are no family places, no bowling, skating, no mall.

I love lyman hall! My daughter has been there the last 2 years and my son just entered kindergarten. I have no complaints of the school.

Terrible!!!!!! Run the otherway. Teachers are lazy, office staff is clueless, and the lady out front is rude as I don't know what! I have never dealt with so much BS since I moved down here. I suggest the school system reevaluate the employees completely. If teaching or working with kids isn't your passion than get out of the school system please! You are ruining our kids. I have found that many teachers are teaching because there are no jobs here and that is completely wrong.
