an amazing school all around! a lot has changed since i attended the very same school back in the early 90s but i am in love with the changes that i see now. even jealous of the fact that the programs, activities, and classes are available now and wished they were back then. overall very pleased alumni.

Well my teachers barely give me homework but more projects and tests. My school does this team organization according to your 6 grade scores. I'm on team 7-6, so I don't know other teams do the same thing as me.

Very nice and are reasonable. Not abusive and my favorite is probably Ms Darbey a ELA teacher.

Sometimes the school does pretty dumb things that you would question. Other than that I'm ok with their decisions.

I haven't really been bullied since 5th grade cause I know how to react to some people. Some were enemies then turned out to be good friends, to say I have made about 50 or so friends and more to come.

At the end, a big fat 8/10. This school is probably gonna be the best middle school I will have so far. Made lots of friends, and still driving to become a software engineer. Some bruh Moments would come, but I handle them carefully.

Since Dr Hibbs has taken over at principal two years ago the entire climate of this school has changed for the better. The teachers are happier and the kids are engaged.

The 7th grade magnet core teachers are outstanding at this school. the 8th grade magnet core teachers are very good as well.

My son is in 8th grade and so far our two years here have been wonderful. He academics has been rigorous and the class options are great. We are looking forward to the rest of the year and a smooth transition to high school.

The time my daughter spent at Marietta Middle was terrible. Carmona was ineffective in controlling the bullying and inappropriate behavior of some of the students. The sense of entitlement by the "Old Marietta" folks was disgusting. We were glad to leave the district and my Daughter is thriving in her new school with straight A's in AP courses. Shamefull

I love Marietta middle school I honestly think that the teachers are great and the test scores are phenominal. The only thing Marietta middle school needs to do is keep up the good work

Can someone please provide some current 2011-2012 school year info. I am moving from Michigan to Marietta and have a choice between East Cobb Middle School & Marietta Middle. Can u guys give me some factors to help me make the choice please. They both received a 5 score from Great Schools.

We live outside of the Marietta City Schools district, however with our research we felt strongly that our child should attend. We pay a small tuition amount each year and our child has flourished academically at Marietta Sixth Grade Academy and now at Marietta Middle School. We highly recommend this school based on academics, teachers, the IB for Middle Schools Program, Administrators, students, and wonderful involved parents!

I have been very pleased with Marietta Middle School. My child is in the IB program and does not participate in the magnet STEM program. The school culture consists of serious academic achievement, sports and the arts. The staff here have always been helpful and do a great job challeging students to new heights. I just love it.

I am a former student of MMS and... Well i have to say that i did not enjoy my 7th grade year there. I used to go to school in Clayton County and i must agree that MMS is alot better than Clayton County schools but the school drama is ridiculous. I understand that every school has it's average day-to-day drama but the school is almost have African American half Hispanic. Fights went on weekly between the races and other students. If you were in the magnet program you were obliviously unaware of this. My teacher at my school that im curently at said the same thing. We were having a conversation about the drama that goes on at our school when the topic of MMS came up and she said the drama there is so much worst than here. The academic leval is average . I didnt really feel chalenged. The saff are really good though. Anytime my mother had a problem, it was always handled. But in my opinion that does not make up for the lack of dicipline among the students.
