This school is one of best school within the MCSD schools. It very diverse in population and all the kids seem to get along well. The school is home to over 100 military families and they house the school of America's students. They offer over 25 AP courses, dual enrollment, and work base learning program. There CTAE program is by far one of the best in the state of Georgia. The ROTC is top tier and also one ofnthe best in the state of Georgia.The CTAE program has partnerships with leading industries such as Kia, Pratt Whittney, and Amazon just to name a few. The Administration is always open for parents and students express there concerns. This school is a hidden gem of MCSD there are so many great things going on. They are leading the way with no cell phones policies and using the Yondr bag system for all students to keep distraction out the classroom with learning as the prior. I hear my kids coming home talking about learning intentions and success criteria for each class.

This school should be shut down at this rate. 15 minutes for lunch (which is always undercooked) im sick of eating soggy pizza with a fork. Teachers are inappropriate and unprofessional they dont even know what theyre teaching or how to run a classroom. The environment at shaw is always hostile because nobody wants to be there because of all of the crazy rules they put into place randomly. We cant even use the restroom anymore because administrators send us back. And were timed 5 minutes anyway. This school is genuinely like a prison were not allowed to do anything.

this school sucks so bad, heavy on racism, so many fights every part of the day, they dont teach at all, this school is not a caring school what so ever and should get closed down.

Subpar conditions. This school is unorganized. The administration is a joke. Children are constantly distracted. There are too many fights. Work is not rigorous, not even for the gifted.

Hi, I'm a junior at shaw. The school is an average high school. It has great academics and sports. I advise you to be involved in many clubs or organizations. Trust me it will make it easier for you to get to know others. I'm apart of the GSA (gay-straight alliance) club. It's a cool club. And I'm apart of the girls varsity soccer team, I play defense and keeper. Truly I play any position.

This is, in fact, a great school. Though it may not be perfect, the staff (including teachers and office workers) truly do care. The teachers want the best out of you and will do everything they can to make sure you're ready for the real world. Also, a quick call-out to reviewer below me. Not all teachers are disorganized. In fact, most of the teachers there are incredibly smart. The ones that are not have a close eye kept on them. In addition, students are no longer sent to lunch at 2 PM. That changed the beginning of the second semester. I highly recommend this school

This school is an unprofessional and an unorganized organization, emails unanswered, assignments lost by teachers, and grades not updated in a subpar database for grading or taking too long for updating. Classrooms are over crowded and majority of the teachers are only present for a paycheck to pay their cellphone bill which they are constantly on during operation hours. Students are not sent to lunch until 2:00 in the afternoon. There is no patience for students by the administration and teachers. Do not send your child to this school.

I am a teacher at Shaw and have been there for five years. Shaw is a wonderful school and the teachers truly care about the success of their students. Students are encouraged and expected to do their best at Shaw! I am proud to teach at Shaw High School!
