I am blown away by how amazing LaGrange Academy is. The student/teacher ratio is perfect and the atmosphere is top notch. I feel so blessed that my child goes here. When I am at work I have zero worry that my child is well taken care of. That is extremely important to me and LaGrange Academy truly does care about my childs education!

We have been at this school for almost 13 years and it has been a wonderfully nurturing environment that also stretches my child academically. The teacher to student ratio is small and that allows for more one on one attention, as needed. The staff is one of the best around. If you want to challenge your child and provide them with a place that allows them to explore all sorts of sports/clubs/interests, this is the place for you.

Excellent, quality upper school educators. School community is supportive of extracurricular activities. Really impressed with the new head of schools leadership.

Most of the leaders are good. The lower school head is the weakest link at this point. A new headmaster starts in a few months

No locks on lockers... says it all

Most of the teachers go out of their way to teach it in a creative way. Dressing up in a costume to become the person you are doing a report on. Letting kids teach on some subjects from their perspective

Some teachers assign homework and never cover it in class so the parents end up teaching the math to the kids. Which in this case is not a bad thing as she is not a well-respected teacher.

LaGrange Academy is a large family. Just like any family it has an occasional issue. As a parent, we feel welcome at the school and are typically encouraged to actively participate in any way we can. Our kids are in lower school and are learning cursive, Spanish, music, drama and working with computers. The upper school kids interact on a daily basis with the lower school kids which help keep the family spirit alive. Everyone is encouraged to participate in sports and other extracurricular activities.
Over all the teachers are very carrying and want to help the kids learn in new and innovative ways while teaching traditional subjects. There is not a better school in the area if you want your kids to excel.

This is our first year at LaGrange Academy and our experience has exceeded all of my high expectations. We are in the new pre-K class and have fallen in love with Miss Sharon and Mrs. Moody. My child is learning so much - sight words, music, and even Spanish! It is a warm, nurturing environment that lends itself to a wonderful learning atmosphere. The headmaster Carl Parke and his wife Christie, along with all the staff and parents are so dynamic and forward thinking when it comes to educating children. I am so happy here and truly believe its worth the money. If you are considering this school, you won't be disappointed.

We came to this school from out of state and have not regretted our decision for one minute. Though my high school child was accustomed to a larger class size, the students and teachers here were very welcoming and helpful during the transition. It is a small school with a variety of opportunities for children to excel and for parents to be directly involved. The staff is responsive when presented with legitimate concerns and the faculty is always willing to go the extra mile to accommodate a student's special needs or interests. From elementary school all the way through high school, children are allowed to advance and are not limited by state mandated standards. The interaction between students of all ages enhances the learning experience, encourages personal accountability, and lends to the overall family feel of the school. We are all excited about the change of leadership and looking forward to becoming an even better place for our children to learn.
