Since 2019, Eastside Christian School has been an incredible partner in raising my three children. I am deeply grateful for the wonderful, faith-based mentorship the teachers and administration provide. From navigating COVID to managing middle school drama and sports, they have supported our family every step of the way.

What I love most is how ECS fosters maturity: middle schoolers are given high-school-level independence, and high schoolers are prepared like college students. This environment allowed all of my childrenwho range from severely dyslexic to mathematically giftedto thrive and develop real-world communication skills. ECS is a beautiful, close-knit community of staff and parents who uplift one another with genuine kindness and Christ-like guidance.

I have two students at ECS and am grateful every day that this is where God led us. ECS has been a blessing not only for my children but my family as well. If I could summarize ECS in one word, it is kindness. The teachers, staff, administrators, students, and parents are all some of the most kind, caring, genuine, and thoughtful people I have had the pleasure of meeting. When I step onto the campus I feel at peace, it is a wonderful experience that makes me want to spend as much time there as possible. One of my children went from complete frustration with math to all As in Advanced Mathematics. My other child went from dreading school every morning to excited to go because of all the fun, freedom and empowerment, and interesting subject matter. Finally, it warms my heart to see my childrens growth in their trust in our lord and how they apply it to their daily lives. Their faith built at ECS will serve as a strong foundation strengthening them through all lifes experiences.

Eastside Christian School is a very special place. The entire staff cares deeply about developing the children into wholesome people with good grounding in faith, service, and doing the right thing. It is an extremely welcoming place and we have felt like family from day one. The teachers, administration, and staff treat everyone with genuine care. I couldn't imagine a better place to build a great foundation for my children in combination with our home family life and church life.

As a parent of a 3rd grader whos been part of Eastside for four years, I can honestly say this school feels like family. The teachers and staff know my child so well and genuinely care about helping her grownot just academically, but in character and confidence too. The academic rigor is outstanding, challenging students while keeping their love of learning alive. What makes Eastside so special to our family is the strong sense of community and faith rooted in a Biblical worldview that shines through in everything they do.

Our family has been at Eastside Christian for nearly five years, and every year has reaffirmed why we chose this school. The environment is one where children are not only challenged with a high level of academics, but also grounded in biblical truth that shapes their hearts and minds. The teachers go above and beyond they genuinely know and care for each child, investing in their growth both inside and outside the classroom.

One of the things that continually stands out is the leadership. They are intentional, approachable, and deeply committed to ensuring the school is a place where faith and excellence come together. As a parent, its reassuring to know that my child is surrounded by mentors who truly model the values they teach.

We are incredibly grateful for the community weve found at Eastside. It has been a blessing to watch our daughter thrive academically, spiritually, and personally, and we look forward to many more years here.

My daughter has been at Eastside since kindergarten and is now entering fifth grade. We also had the opportunity to do Pre-1, which was such a blessing , it gave her a wonderful bridge year between kindergarten and first grade. Over the years, she has not only grown in her faith but has also made great academic progress, overcoming some challenges along the way. The smaller class sizes have allowed her to thrive, and her teachers have consistently met her where shes at, supporting her unique needs. What makes Eastside truly special is the community , from the teachers and staff to the families , it genuinely feels like an extended family. We are so thankful to be part of it.

We've had our children at this school for the past 8 years. We've been through multiple leadership transitions during that time, and though change can be hard and feel disruptive, we've decided year after year to stay. The bottom line has always been that our kids are very happy, they are loved and well taken care of, they are prayed for, and they are getting a great education. In addition, the school has always felt like a family - something we highly value. We are now in a period of exceptional leadership and are extremely excited for what our future holds. We will always be grateful for the strong biblical foundation our children are receiving at Eastide. That is something they'll carry with them the rest of their lives.

Eastside Christian School is such a special place. My daughter left a top East Cobb public school to attend ECS. She thrived in a smaller class size environment. She learned how to be a great student and gained other study skills that are hard to learn in the local public schools. The school has strong academics and great teachers that love their students. I know that my daughter will be well prepared for high school after attending ECS.

Eastside Christian School is located in the East Cobb area of Marietta. There are approximately 250 students from K-8th grade. The school also offers a Pre-1st program. I have two children at the school and we have been very pleased with the school as a whole. The Head Master, Mrs. Knoblock, is nothing short of amazing. She knows all the students and makes sure to ask parents how they are doing. The teachers go through a series of evaluation and additional training to help broaden their teaching skills. The school also has a health clinic and a security resource officer. ECS is also one of the most economical in the area. I look forward to my children completing 8th grade in this school.

Eastside Christian school tailors your childs education to meet their specific needs, strengths, and deficits. My children look forward to going to school, and right when you walk in the school you feel as though you are greeting extended family. A wonderful school. I would highly recommend.

The teachers are always answering emails and texts, even after school hours. They really do try to reach the kids at their level and bring real life experiences into their school work.

There is communication everywhere. The parents have access, the kids have access, grading is fast, it's is important to see if your child is behind before the end of the semester.

My husband is a pastor on staff at Eastside Baptist Church and I have worked as a teacher at ECS for 5 years. We have had all three of our children attend Eastside Christian School. 2 of our 3 have already completed middle school at Eastside and they were both very active in sports and theater, while keeping up with their academics. We would say they were very well prepared for high school.

Eastside Christian School has been the best decision for our children. Both have thrived with challenging academics, incredible teachers who truly bring the curriculum to life, positive athletic role models and experience and Christ-centered character education. The facilities are clean and well-kept, with bright, modern classrooms, a phenomenal athletic center, a new STEM lab, Art Studio and more. The students work above grade level, so will be more than prepared for the Magnet programs or private high school. The academic as well as spiritual foundation children receive here is first class. My youngest child read on a 6th grade level in 3rd grade, and my oldest was doing 10th grade math in 8th. The opportunities for advanced learning are impressive. There was unfortunately some fallout over the last few years due to leadership change; however under the leadership of our new Head of School, Deb Knoblock, Eastside Christian School is in incredibly capable hands. The faculty and staff is genuine, God-loving and only want the best for your children. We have been blessed to be a part of the Eastside community.

A school with average to below average students and teachers. If you do not require rigor and want hugs all-day this is your place. Last two years enrollment has dropped tremendously. Many teachers have been there for a very long time and refuse to adopt the growth the mindset of learning new teaching techniques and challenging students. Classes have about 12 students with an average of about 4 to 5 students NEEDING special education help, remediation, or hand holding through assignments. Not what we envisioned for a private school. Many families have left to attend public school and are getting a much better education and are happy. School will have another new Head of school 2017-2018 which will be the third in three years including Mrs. C., who was asked to return from retirement after R H was fired for being an ineffective school leader. School has had lots of scandal throughout the years. No diversity in staff members. Not competitive and I would not waste my money!

This is our first year in the upper school and we've had two children in the preK school. I CAN NOT say enough good things about this place. It's our second home. My children have made friends I believe they will have for years! They THRIVE there. We are an interacial family and we've been welcomed with open arms! Never ever have I felt any racial concerns there. My oldest son is very bright. He came from public school where he was clearly the top of his class and recieved many accolades. Since changing, he's been quite challenged, despite school work usually coming easy for him. The amount of homework we have seen thus far is right on point. The focus on not only learning traditional cirriculum, but the sincere focus to write the Word of God on the hearts of these children is beautiful. There were apparently some issues with the prior administration prior to this year and that has been fully remedied from anything I have seen. I absolutely believe
The people there have hearts for God and for my children. I trust them. Not only to teach them by the standards of what they need to know to be successful in this world, but to walk the narrow road and have a heart for Jesus to protect them from this world! This is priceless to me. If having your children in an environment where people are truly seeking God's will and his plan for the school is a priority to you, then I encourage you to meet people there. The teachers display the fruits of the Spirit. It reminds me of the Bible verse that says you will know a tree by the fruit it bears. I graduated from Wheeler High in 2000 and I vividly remember meeting other students that had gone to East Side. They stood apart. Not in a bad way, but they had a quiet strength and you could clearly see good fruit in their lives. Since sending our children I can see this fruit in my own kids. They are gentle, kind, self controlled, peaceful, patient, good in heart. Having a school that is Christ centered, competitive, rigorous, and comes along side the parents is INVALUABLE! I could write an entire dissertation on the place and what it has meant to our family. We truly didn't know what we were going to do about education in our home. I prayed about it for a year and God opened the door here. It's exactly where he wanted our family and I believe whole heartedly he is doing great things and I'm happy we are with them

Our journey with Eastside Christian School began in 1995, and the school has had an incredible impact on our family. Our children attended ECS for a total of 12 years and participated in a variety of excellent academic and extracurricular programs during those years. The educational system at Eastside focused on a biblical worldview that supported our teaching at home. The love and concern of the staff in the early childhood years helped to instill an enriching confidence coupled with humility. The rigorous academic and nurturing environment of middle high prepared them for life outside of ECS.

Today, our children have graduated from college, taking with them the integrity and character instilled in them at ECS. Now one daughter has chosen to teach 1st grade at Eastside, where the facultys encouragement and support creates a positive and caring work community. The ECS commitment to small class sizes allows her to invest individually in each 1st grader so that she can instill in them the same values that she received while attending Eastside. This student-teacher ratio is also invaluable to the academic success of each student. She is making a tangible impact for Gods kingdom as she serves at ECS.

We love ECS! Please know that the very few disgruntled reviews posted do not represent the experiences of all of the other ECS families with whom I have interacted (particularly all of the reviews posted on June 16th which make me wonder if this is just one unhappy individual. The comments are certainly not consistent with what I hear from other parents). I do not work for the school or church and neither does my husband. Our kids have attended Eastside for several years and we are extremely thankful for the school. The teachers are wonderful and, I believe, truly love our kids. I believe the school offers strong academics, caring and supportive teachers, and great training on how to interpret life and academics from a biblical perspective. While no school is perfect, we believe Eastside is the BEST place for our kids. We've had a great experience at Eastside so, if you're considering this school, please tour the school and talk to people who definitely go there so are in a position to provide a solid perspective

I think it's close to impossible to have just the right amount of homework for each child because each child is different. One of our kids could have handled more homework but another one couldn't have handled any more. It just depends on the ability of the individual child. Overall, though, I believe the homework load is pretty close to "just right."

State certified teachers should be be a requirement for employment at all schools. It appears that we have un-certified teachers who are lazy, ineffective and lack classroom management skills. Activities are non-engaging for the students. Administration does a poor job ensuring the teachers are performing up to task.
Also, when you do not observe your teachers daily/weekly how can you assume they are effective and the students are receiving proper instruction.

There is no honesty, integrity or fairness across the board from teachers and administration. We expected rigor and did not get it. Also, we were told ALL the teachers were state certified which is false.

This school has become a place for students with LEARNING DISABILITIES, as each class has at least 3- 4 students that need academic support from the Discovery program which is full. Most classes only have 11-12 students, so if that many are in discovery, the school may as well have a special education department. We paid for advanced curriculum and are not receiving it. Public school are miles ahead of our children, which means we will spend the summer remediating. We are VERY UNHAPPY our children showed no gains. Many of the lower school students showed very little gains but instead decreased. Leadership is poor. Many of the teachers should be dismissed. Teachers quality is low and they are resistant to change. Lower school and middle school is awful and most the teachers do not use current teaching techniques/strategies. Families have/are leaving. The quality of students seems to have changed and it appears that ECS is accepting any kind of student to keep the doors open. Too much negative chatter amongst parents, STAFF and ADMINISTRATION. If your child is a lower level learner then this is your place. We are leaving for a better experience at another school. The curriculum was changed without considering what the staff capabilities were. Teachers panicked and struggled to teach the new curriculum all year. Also, when RH chose to remove cursive writing out of second grade parents were in an uproar. Perhaps the board needs to think about replacing administration(R H) since he does not address issues and is causing families to leave. Lack of response to emails is crucial to the success of a school. Staff members are slow to respond or do not respond at all. Diversity/Racism is an issue as there are several african american families who are also leaving . The Terra Nova test that was administered this year was from 2008 which means it was outdated. It is 2016 so that means our children were not fairly assessed. This is deceitful! Remove your children from this low level academic school if you do not want to continue wasting money. Staff and board members will try and add nice comments which will not be a true reflection of the school. This information is accurate!! Over promising and under serving the parents and students have been the demise.

This is our first year at ESC school and we couldn't be happier! Not only are we pleased with the academics and high standards at the school but how respectful and loving each child and teacher is! We weren't sure about which school to pick moving from out of state, but feel very fortunate that we chose ECS because our children have been thriving and flourishing both academically and spiritually!

My daughter attended Eastside Christian School from Jr. Kindergarten through 8th grade. She had an excellent experience at Eastside, and was well prepared both academically and spiritually. She is currently a freshman in a Math, Science, and Technology Magnet in the Cobb County School system. She continues to do well, and her transition has been very smooth. I am grateful to Eastside Christian School for instilling in my daughter a love of learning, an understanding of who she is in Christ, and a desire to succeed.
