Shreiner is an excellent school! Its definitely a gem and a parent's dream come true. Challenging academics accompanied by a nurturing and diverse environment. This is our first year at Shreiner and we have extremely high academic expectations that have been met by the PreK teachers and Director. Very satisfied.

Challenging and fun. Even for my active, math wiz son. He is allowed to move ahead as far as he wants and is excited about his reading and Spanish class too! We love that he loves school and asks to do his homework!

Excellent school, Shreiner's academics are exceptional. The student teacher ratio is low, the teachers are very engaging. The school offers, Spanish daily, Music & P.E. while still covering the core classes. This school truly embraces diversity, the children study various countries & then perform the countries native dance @ an annual International festival.

Be aware of their cancellation/withdrawal policy. They require a 90 day written notice. I failed to read that when I signed up our son and honestly, nobody at the school went over that with me. I had to move out of town unexpectedly and we got stuck with the $5,000 bill to cover the 90 days tuition! I had not planned for that at all. If you are thinking of enrolling your child there, please be aware of that. I'd hate for others to have to go through that!

Both my grandchildren attend Shreiner Academy (2K & 1st Grade). The 1st grader has been @Shreiner Academy since 2K. My daughter & son-in-law love this school and, of course, think this is the best school ever! We totally agree as we think the teaching/learning programs are by far the best! I would recommend this school to anyone who is interested in a good learning program for their kid/s.

Shreiner Academy is truly a remarkable experience. I have been affilated with Shreiner for 18 years and can truly say it has been a great experience. I couldn't be happier with the experiences and education my grand children received..

I have had the pleasure of walking on this Shreiner campus various times over the last few months. The campus is gorgeous and has so much to offer the students. The students are happy and well-adjusted in their setting and work well with their teachers. These teachers are very qualified as well, they are degreed and certified! The curriculum is strong and challenging...this school is a hidden gem.

Our Son started Shreiner the last year it was owned by the Shreiner Family. It was everything we were looking for - small, academically challenging, caring. The first 3 years were a reasonable fit although the quality of the staff and instruction deteriorated once purchased by a corporation. Although still caring, they had no consistent academic identity going from one grand idea (cultural competence) to another. When our second child was enrolled we were clear that he presented with unique issues. We were assured that Shreiner was able to work with him and that everyone "loved him." 2 years later and 3 weeks into the school year we were given less than 10 days to find another placement no compromise no care that slots were filled in other schools. It was a nightmare! There are still wonderful people at Shreiner. Make no mistake it now has a corporate soul and the administration is duplicitous. I suspect that it is still OK for some kids. Our son, now in public school is receiving a superior education. I wish they would have removed the Shreiner name - This school bears little resemblance to the school developed with academic integrity by the Shreiner Family.

Shreiner is a loving nurturing environment where kids can be themselves and take learning to the next level. As soon as we stepped foot on campus we felt like we were a part of the family. Their teachers genuinely cared about my kids, and we remain in contact with many of them still today! Shreiner is a place that fosters an academically challenging environment where kids can still be kids!

Not happy with how my previous comment was deleted. It makes me truly question the integrity of this site. Anyhow, the curriculum at Shreiner is basically on-par with Cobb County public schools.

Both of my children have been attending Shreiner Academy since they were 2 years old and words can not expressive how pleased I have been with their experiences. The teachers, Ms. Dominic, Mrs. Crimminger, Ms. Tera, and Mrs. Spaulding are all phenomenal! These teachers have helped groom my children into confident and successful students. Furthermore, Sarah Walker, the Head of School, and her administrative team are always available and involved around campus. I wish I had a Shreiner as child!

My experience at Shreiner Academy has been nothing short of exceptional and the writer below misrepresents a great school whose curriculum is accelerated and aligned from PK through 8th grade; the staff is caring, dedicated, experienced, and qualified. Shreiner includes Spanish, the arts, and encourages active learning through field trips and travel-study opportunities in the upper grades. Both my son and daughter continue to thrive in small class settings that allow them to receive learning material that caters to their strengths and weaknesses. We love Shreiner!

The small class sizes at the Shreiner Academy Middle School have given my son the opportunity to learn more depth in each of the subjects allowing for better retention. In addition to the strong academic foundation, students have an opportunity to be participants and leaders, which is often difficult in large schools. Every day at Shreiner my son is valued as a student and an individual. He feels safe taking risks and putting himself in situations that had seemed intimidating to him before. The experience and self confidence gained through this participation and the strong academic foundation have ensured that my son will be well equipped to succeed in either a large or small high school.

There's obvious favoritism shown towards certain kids that have been here since their younger years. Upper grade teachers often give unreasonable amounts of homework keeping the kids up until the wee hours trying to finish, only to arrive to school tired the next day. I've learned just that because a school environment is small, doesn't necessarily mean there's individualized attention. Our family is happy to be moving on...

We have been at Shreiner for two years and plan on staying there as long as possible. The quality of the education and nurturing environment far surpasses any other school. The leadership now in place has made a huge difference over the past two years and has made the school top notch. The hours are a working parents dream come true, and the school and its students have an amazing future ahead of them.

This is our first year at the school and we are pleased. We have two children and both adjusted to the school well. They offer a good curriculum and the kids there are so confident because it is such a nurturing enviroment. My older son who is a kindergartener was very withdrawn and cried a lot at his prior preschool and now he is just a little social butterfly.

The person below is misinformed. The before and after school program is still included and the hours, 7:00 AM - 6:30PM are a working parent's dream. In addition, family loyalty discounts still exist. The teachers at Shreiner LOVE my kids and I know they are getting a wonderful education. I have toured other places and cannot "feel" the love and nurturing that is so important to raising healthy, happy, intelligent students from any other school. This is a do not miss... Shreiner has been and always will be amazing!

My daughter has been at Sheiner for the past six years. She loves it because all of her friends are there. However, I have found that the quality of the teachers diminishes after first grade. One of the reasons I went to Shreiner was because of the teaching experience of the teachers. Now, so many of the teachers have been teaching for less than 7 years. Also, the school was recently purchased by a private organization, and that is reflected in the tuition rates. Shreiner loyalists used to get a discount for having been at the school a while. That is no longer the case. After school care used to be provided with tuition. That is no longer the case. Things have just changed too much for us.

Our son has been at Shreiner Academy since Kindergarten and is now in the 4th grade. Shreiner is truly a 'remarkable experience'. We love it, our son loves it and we could not be happier here. The quality education including the advanced curriculum, spanish daily and the indivdual attention has surpassed our expectations. The Shreiner teachers and staff are commited and really do seem to care about the welfare and education of our children. We love the quaint campus cottages, the pools and the unique and intimate feeling of 'family' we feel here. The welcomed addition of the American Education Group and Miss Sarah has made a good thing even better. The NWEA testing is an invaluable tool for teachers, students and parents. This unique testing program gives us all a roadmap as to where our children are, their strenghts, weaknesses and where they need to go. Highly recommend!!
