Military Family - Not enough staff. Teachers screaming at students. My kids do not like this school at all. I can not wait until we move from here just because of this school district. Would highly NOT recommend.

The exterior of the school gives the parent a sense of ease because it is well maintained. But when it comes down to their teaching techniques and the teachers qualifications for teaching IEP students and special needs students this school is not suitable to do so. So many students fall between the cracks. Compared to the Richmond Hill School system, West Chatham Elementary can't even come close. So parents if you have a special needs child this school is not where you should send your child. They give parents false information about their childs progress and does not follow through with what they tell you in those IEP meetings. So if you have no other choice but to put your child in this school please stay on them 24-7 or your child will fall through the educational system.

West Chatham Elementary school is an amazing school. I have 3 children that attend this school and they absolutely love it. The teachers are great! They treat every child fairly. The overall atmosphere at this school is above my expectations. We sadly will be moving to another county and are forced to switch school but we are so grateful for the time we've had at WCES. There PTA is also the best I've ever seen.

Generally speaking, the school has a good environment. However, we are not satisfied with the IEP staff and/or counselor.

My children have been going to WCES since 2007. I am very hands on when it comes to my childrens education and at WC. I am able to be there as much or as little as I like. The staff/pta are great and really know your children. We moved to pooler so my children could go to WCES and I am happy with our choice. Being a military family brings it's challanges but everyone at WC has been amazing and they understand the difficulties we go through and are more then willing to help.

I absolutely love this school. Both of my children are enrolled here and have been now for 3 yrs. The faculity are extremely helpful and very concerned for the well being of your child and their education. They are always willing to help and will do anything they possibly can to make sure your child is getting the most out of their classroom. Also, the communication between the teachers and parents is wonderful. Not once have I ever felt out of the loop in what is going on from a day to day basis with my kids.

My son has been at WCES for 2 years and we love it! The teachers and principal are wonderful! They make learning fun and exciting! The school offers many after school activities for students and parents. This school definitely deserves higher that 5 stars!

Wces is an ok school. Mt child is there in the 4th grade and i have major concerns w/race issues the teachers or parents dont address!! also there is a lot of favoritism towards the students whose parents r in the military. The school is loosing its spunk because of the different 'type' of children moving to the area. Not impressed @ all!
