My son just wrapped up almost five years at St Annes. He was so well-loved and encouraged and it shows now in his daily interactions and confidence. The aftercare program is amazing for working parents- like a family.

Current and future parents I urge you to review St. Anne’s Day School contract language in detail before signing. You will notice that it financially benefits St. Anne’s in every possible scenario except moving out of the state. How will the school respond if you lose your job? What about loss of a spouse or partner? Are you also expected to pay full tuition for virtual learning of a toddler if we have a second wave of COVID-19? Do you wonder why Reggio Emilia is not mentioned within the contract? We can only share our experience and hope that it helps the next family, like many families and businesses we also suffered financially due to the pandemic. We contacted St. Anne’s for relief/assistance but was directed back to the contract...which states that relief is offered only to families that provide notice and move outside of Atlanta. It is really disheartening to learn that a school with such a great reputation would respond to financial hardships in such a manner. We are happy to learn that there are several private schools in the area offering assistance during the pandemic as well as other scenarios that would cause financial hardship for us to consider. This is one of those sensitive topics that you never know that you need, until you need it. We hope that you found this message to be helpful. Good luck and stay safe!

I agree with the parent’s review dated 6/5/18. This school could stand to improve on diversity in both staff and students.

We had two children that attended St. Anne's. The facility and the Reggio Emilia teaching method are great and it seems like the most idyllic preschool. The unfortunate thing about the school is the lack of inclusiveness from the other families and staff. Now that my kids are at another school I have something to compare to St. Anne's to and realize it wasn't us, it was them. Just a word of warning to families of mixed race, minorities, or families that care about diversity this may not be the school for you.

A very special place! My daughter still talks about her teachers and her St. Anne's memories. Do NOT listen to the other reviews on this site! The teachers and all of the staff at this school (including their Afterschool care) have hearts of gold. I've never seen such a large group of people pour their hearts and souls into each and every child at the school. And no matter what path you are taking once you leave St. Annes (private or public) they pour the same attention and care into your child. We can't thank St. Annes enough for the love and care you gave to our sweet little Adeline!

We have had a poor and disappointing experience with St. Anne's Day School. It is quite unfortunate as we had such high hopes for a wonderful year. We are disappointed that their dealings with children seem to be in some cases antithetical to their claims they are a program which supports all children in learning and growing. We actually feel our experience has been detrimental to our child. We would encourage parents to consider other options. This is not a school for all children.

We feel this school operates at its core as an environment that is not supportive of all children.

There are many good things about this school which we liked, the teaching method, smaller size and facilities. However, in the end we did not feel that we were fully accepted into the community and that our child was probably treated a little differently than other students in their class.

The school has a tight knit group of parents, which is good if you fit into the mold. Our family does not fit the typical "Buckhead" stereotype and we strongly believe we weren't fully accepted into the community because of this. Many times we heard of parents in our child's class getting together socially and not once were either me or my spouse invited. We accepted this as we felt our child's education was more important than the social aspect. Unfortunately, this ultimately affected our child as our child was not invited to birthday parties or playdates like the other kids. Our child eventually found out about this which was the source of much angst. Our attempts to reach out to other parents for playdates or meetups were met with unreturned calls and texts every time.

The teachers we had at St. Anne's were mixed, some were very good, but others didn't seem to be able to handle the stress of dealing with younger children for 3 hours a day and it showed. During parent teacher conferences we felt the teachers were more concerned with the reputation of the school than with our child specifically. They were overly focused on the children mastering ABCs before kindergarten even though every school we visited for K-5 said alphabet mastery is not required for incoming kindergarteners. It is well known that St. Anne's is a feeder school for Westminster and they didn't want to appear to be educating their students worse than in the past. We went to the interim director with some concerns as we felt our child was being singled out more than the other students, but her response was that perhaps this wasn't the right school for us and there are plenty of other people waiting to get in.

Have no doubt that St. Anne's is a good preschool. We just feel that it's not for everyone. If you fit in the target demographic you will most likely love it and the community. That just wasn't the case for our family.

I am in love with this school. My son is so happy there. The teachers and staff are excellent and so in tune with each and every child. I am so impressed with the academics and curriculum. I am saddened that he can only stay through Kindergarten. I highly recommend this school to anyone!
