Staff is very unfriendly in the front office...Principal acts more like a prison Warden...she shows favoritism to a chosen few students...She thinks the school should run like all are Jehova Witness because she is...I can see having school policies but they try so hard to keep parents away makes one wonder if they aren't hiding something...Why aren't ALL school employees allowed to attend after school events? Worst school Ever!

My son went to this school for a week after moving from the Effingham County school system. Not only was he bullied for being a different race but the attitude of the faculty and staff showed within the students. Really sad. I had to pretty much make an overhaul just to get him back into Effingham County.

The teaching is not working for the students.
We work more at home helping learn, then in the school. So for the kids that have parents that can not help the kids are behind and struggling.
Bullying is high on the list of bad things.

The principal is awful. She holds different standards for each individual child. If she doesn't like the parent she makes the child very uncomfortable while there in school. She shouldn't be a principal in my opinion. She treats the school like a prison. I will not be taking anymore of my kids to that school. If she wasn't there it would be alot better. Fire her!!!!!!

The service in this School is terrible, specially if you are a Latin person. They treated you like if you are less valuable than any body else. They make you wait over an hour or 2 to take care of you. And take care of other people first even if they came after you. Highly disrespectful.

My son is going to the 4th grade. He has received every award possible each semester. The new principal is strict but hands on. My son is in the gifted program and all of his teachers have been great.

Three of my children go to this school. My oldest has been attending since kindergarten and is now in the fourth grade. Up until this year I have really enjoyed being a parent of a Garden City Elementary School student. This year we have gotten a new principal and she is the rudest most disrespectful person that I have ever came in contact with. She has turned this school into a prison . Parents and grandparents are not welcome to be involved in the school or in your children's educational experience. You are not allowed in the school and are not allowed to speak face to face with teachers. If you would like to speak to a teacher it is through a email or phone call. This new principal is treating elementary students as if they were in high school. I strongly discourage any parent that is thinking about sending their child to this school. I correct myself this is not a school it is a prison for innocent little children.

Great teachers, wonderful learning environment. Hands on Principal. I have visited a lot of schools and must say that the diversity and structure of this institution is brilliant.
