ever since I started a school in August I think the school is the best place and around me while some of the other middle school are kinda mid bro but I feel like this made so many awards and students I'm a huge fan of the principal who is amazing even the special education help some special need students will I saw that some student need to impact their behavior but they will impact during the school year honestly I think that's all why this school has 1,259 students which makes it the best school around me

I will say, due to recent events with a code yellow, little to no information was given to the students, leaving distress in the community.
I also am a student with severe anxiety and severe depression, and all the school has done is wave to everyone else HEY DONT DIE! without giving ME the support and/or help I needed at moments. I have had panic attacks around 27 times and only one time teachers noticed and took action.
School is good though, but some teachers are too chill, allowing phones to always be out and never giving proper punishment.

I am a current student and this school is quite frankly terrible fights everyday teachers barely do anything about it. Most of my teachers are just out right rude and disrespectful to the highest degree. Then they have some fun activities to make the school fun but were barely allowed to do anything during it. Then the lunch is terrible I got food poisoning three times from the school lunch. This school is just disgusting. The bathroom is so very dirty.

Lovinggood Middle is an alright school to be in. But they do treat their students differently in AC than on-level students. I have 3 AC classes and the teachers always want to help you if you need help. While in my 1 On-level class they don't care if you fail or if you sleep all day in their class. While if you have a good grade in their class then you will get favorited as one of their top students. Most of the teachers have a great teaching style and will get you recommend in good classes in High School for example. I got recommended into AP Human Geography by my Social Studies teacher. Which is a really good class to start off in High School. Also you'll have great friends in Lovinggood. The restrooms seem clean to me. The food isn't great but it isn't the worst. They offer a lot of sports and extracurricular activities . But really no student is excited to learn here in Lovinggood but some teachers do make it exciting. Our school does take care a lot of mental health issues also- 8th grade student

This school is one of the best schools in Cobb County because everyone treats you with respect and kindness. I have almost have all AC classes. The teachers here have high respect toward you. I have Chorus and orchestra they are one of the best classes Ill ever have. Im a 7th grader in Lovinggood Middle school. The school is very clean. Youll meet a lot of new people and they are really nice. Youll also make new friends

One of my children was passed to the next grade every year at love and good Middle School with all failing grades this year he was passed on to high school and knows nothing that is going on or how to do any of the work and it was brought to loving Goods attention several times and 6th 7th and 8th grade and then my other child at love and good is in 7th grade and has been bullied since 6th grade and I have been back and forth with the administrators and the principal and the counselors about this happening and nothing seems to be done about it one of the children that were bullying him moved away but yet is still allowed to attend the school with his mother bringing him and dropping him off in the neighborhood again I have contacted the school multiple times about this and nothing has been done and the school administrator knew and knows that this child does not live in the district because he is one that was bullying him that we had a meeting with and the child's parents told them that they were moving before last school year ended but yet here he is again this year and still picking on my child and when my child wants to defend himself the school disciplines my child I'm starting to wonder if it is a race thing

Lovinggood has been great for my 2 kids. We all know that middle school is a changing time for our kids and they are turning into little adults. Lovinggood has been a great environment for my kids. They have made great friendships and are well prepared for moving into High School. I would highly recommend Lovinggood and the surrounding neighborhoods to raise your kids.

this school exceeds my expectations. my child is getting excellent grades. the principal is very engaged with a motivational video every Monday morning. the teachers are excellent, the school teaches personal excellence, the school teaches how a child can change themselves at any time for the better and they are success. there is a very positive message everyday delivered by the principal. the communication here is above and beyond there's a message every Friday for the past week and the upcoming week from the principal. I'm never left in the dark and I always know what's going on with my child. I couldn't be happier.

Lack of communication to parents when major issues take place in school leaving the parents to hear that from kids getting off the bus and other ways. Cell phones are not controlled well and abused by kids taking videos of each other, using in class, etc. Discipline seemed lacks overall. Band program is great. Didn't have or hear of any issue with bullying.

No bully zone !! My daughter just completed middle school here and appreciates the training she received from here. tough initially, coming from a less preparing district, she is now I believe ready for the rigors at Hillgrove!!

My daughter received an excellent Middle school education at Lovinggood. She was very active and took mostly advanced courses. I was so impressed with caliber and caring of her teachers. The clubs were fantastic. She was very prepared when she entered High School. The principal was hands on and was very involved.

I don't know what any of these bad reviews are talking about! I had one child go all three years and now I have one in 7th grade and one going to 6th grade. I love the school! The principal is no non sense! If there is any bullying its nipped in the bud immediately. She demands excellence from both the teachers and the students. My 7th grader struggled in elementary but when she got to Lovinggood the teachers really worked to bring her up to grade level and she's doing great now! The principal sets a great example for the girls at the school in how they should dress in a professional setting. She doesn't tolerate any short shorts and half shirts. And being the mother of all girls, I appreciate that! They are in constant communication with the parents. We receive several emails and phone calls daily. I love the teachers, the administration and the school!

Lovinggood is a great school.the teachers have advanced classes which not many other middle schools have. my daughters science teacher was on maternity leave and the school should have found a permanent replacement instead of a different teacher every week. they have wonder full drama and beta clubs. my daughter loved how they DO NOT wear uniforms. But don't worry there is a dress code regulation. I assure your child will not be wearing daisy dukes in this school, they have a high integrity. Just make sure you check the dress code before buying back to school clothes. Although the overall school was great there are some things that they could improve on, bullying for one the principal has imposed a no tolerance rule, anonymous reports but as I am sure you know this a very difficult time especially if you are a teenage girl. Also there is a bit of a racial issue that the principal either does not know about which I doubt or just dose not care. for instance when my daughter was in the seventh grade a white girl said something about an African American girl and she was 'jumped". In conclusion I would recommend this school as long as you tell your child what to do and what not to do.

My son is in 6th grade at Lovinggood and it has been a great experience for both him and us as parents. I think the administration is good there, but very strict; maybe not to some people's liking, but it works for us. There are a lot of programs and activities available to the students. It is a safe and competitive academically challenging school for kids to go. They have a very active PTSA. The teachers really care about the students, and most have tutoring time available before or after school which is offered FREE for the students. We love LMS!!

At this school, there is very little interaction between kids not in your class. You must have a hall pass to go anywhere, and the administrators have to know where you are at all times. They are so busy attempting to keep the bad kids in line (which they fail at) and maintaining their image, that the rest of us who follow the rules suffer. Also, if your previous school doesn't have an advanced program, expect a fight getting placed correctly.

In our daughter's three years at Lovinggood, she's enjoyed a solid learning experience. The great faculty does a fine job in both prepping students for the next level and keeping teens and tweens focused. And I have to say the music program is outstanding.

Great staff & teachers. Many sports & clubs, good music programs. Takes learning seriously. The rules are quite strict, though. You have to get your water bottle "nurse approved" or else you can't have it, and you can't open the bottle before you take it to the nurse. If your phone/electronic device is seen in your pocket or it falls on the floor, you get a referral, whether you were using it or not.

Lovinggood is a great school. The teachers are very nice and they are willing to give you any extra tutoring when needed. The students are also very kind. For the most part Lovinggood is a great school, but like other schools it has problems. One problem is that it has too many rules. For example they only allow you to bring water to school even if you bring your own lunch. At one point they would not even let you bring water to school. Another bad thing about Lovinggood was that the lunches were bad and sometimes they would have hair in it. Last but not least if your phone falls out of your pocket you get an automatic referral. The administrators say they just don't want to see your phone. It does not matter if you are using it or not. I find it extremely unfair. Besides those problems everything else is good.
