Best Academy is a great school it turns boys into men and the sports are good for keeping the students healthy.

This school has brought so many opportunities to not only my son, but to our family as well. The male staff are some of the best examples of male role models that our boys need to see. The teachers are always asking if my son is okay, if he's able to understand his assignments, and if he needs any extra help. They even go so far as to stay as late as they are allowed to, for tutorial sessions. BEST Academy is Atlanta's B.E.S.T. kept secret!

The BEST Academy is one of the institutions that I have worked at in my twenty plus years. This Single Gender Institution is a must see. BEST Academy is a place where the administration is second to none and the teachers are certified and highly qualified. I would recommend this Single Gender institution to any and everyone. In my opinion, this is a top notch organization.

Instruction is designed to align with students strengths and interests to allow for real-world connections. Through the single-gender structure, B.E.S.T. Academy strives to significantly shape its students into well-rounded young men who are prepared to meet current and future demands that are inevitable in an ever-changing global society.

The teachers and administration have high expectations of the students and their focus on the WHOLe child development. The focus is instructional but also the student's social and emotional learning. The experiences they afford are out of this world through the various programs and clubs that students can participate in. This is definitely a special place for young men who enter determined and exit prepared to thrive in an unforgiving world.

As a staff member, I have had the opportunity to work with outstanding families and staff in various capacities. BEST is the only STEM certified male single-gender school with students in grades 6-12 in Georgia. Our families are vested in the lives of their children and education. Staff have high expectations for students and of themselves as they prepare our young men to be successful both inside and beyond the classroom. There are numerous resources through partnerships for students to access unique opportunities in Pathways of Developmental Success (PODS) with the 100 Black Men of Atlanta, mentors with the Emerging 100, college credits at Georgia State, internships at Georgia Tech, Manhood Development Initiative, and STEM project-based learning.

I love this school and the programs in place for the young men. My sons have gained knowledge, maturity and male leadership. I would recommend anyone who want their son with a family that cares to send their son to BEST Academy!

I am a single mother raising four young adults 23, 20, 17, 14 with three of them being young men. Two of them are current students of The Best Academy 6-12 and are doing an awesome job at this school. My young men and I are involved in EVERYTHING that the school has to offer except fencing. If you know anything about this school you would know they offer a whole for the young men with fencing being the newest.
I love the relationships that I have with the staff as well as the family environment that is represented in this school not only with the parents but the young men as well. "Brotherhood" and it speaks volumes it's a must see.

I have sat in on every class that my son has. The administration has saw to every concern I have had. They always let me sign in and go straight to where he is at. The boys are always polite as are the teachers. If there are any negative traits to this school, I've yet to see them in my numerous visits. My son is in the sixth grade currently.

I worked at BEST Academy for 3 years with the current principal. He is a terrible leader. He is a poor communicator. He is an awful public speaker. He is divisive. He has created a hostile work environment for the faculty and staff. That hostile environment has been passed on to the students at the school. The current Dean of Academics is cut from the same cloth as the current principal. Another post says she is not good with discipline. I saw first hand how ineffectively she handled discipline. If you are given the chance, please ask the principal or dean how many new teachers they had to hire for the 2013-2014 school year. Be wary of a school with such a high turn over rate. DO NOT SEND YOUR SON TO THIS SCHOOL! The principal's weaknesses and character flaws will become your student's weaknesses and character flaws.

Single mothers looking to send your sons to BEST Academy for male guidance and influence will be greatly disappointed. The administration is weak. The newly named principal is unorganized. The Dean of Academics cannot provide the discipline necessary to manage 13/14 year old boys. The rules and consequences are non existent. This school is poorly run. You will see a change in your son's sweet demeanor very quickly if you enroll him into this mess. The only saving grace is the teachers. They are not allowed to do their jobs to the best of their ability, however, because the principal has his own agenda: collecting government funds for poor kids.

HORRIBLE! This school is horrible. If you would like to see how horrible the school really is, go to the award ceremony on the first Friday of every month. Don't go to the auditorium. Go to the building and see how many students are not permitted to go to the award ceremony because of the poor behavior.

I taught Saturday school at BEST and I must say that the staff members are caring and understanding. Their apparent concern for student success is obvious and I wish I was a full time staff member there. Good job EAGLES!

My son attended B.E.S.T. Academy for the last 2 years and I'm terribly disappointed in the Administration and especially the Principal for the previous year who refused to see me when I had concerns about my son's development which I feel is very unbecoming for a leader of a School. I'm not being critical from afar but volunteered several times over the past 2 years to see first hand the disorder which hinders learning. Needs leadership real bad!
