We have had such a wonderful experience at this school. The teachers are incredibly kind, caring, and passionate about their students, and it shows in everything they do. The academics are strong and engaging, while the school also does an amazing job of creating a true sense of community. Events like the Spring Festival, Dance Party, and Walk to School Day bring families together and make the school feel like such a special place. We are so grateful to be part of this community!

My daughter has had the privilege of attending Shallowford Falls Elementary School for the past five years, and it has truly been such a meaningful and wonderful experience for our family. From the very beginning, the teachers and faculty have created a warm, supportive, and encouraging environment where she has been able to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

The dedication, kindness, and genuine care shown by the staff have made a lasting impact on her confidence and love for learning. We are incredibly grateful for the friendships, memories, and strong foundation she has gained during her time there. Shallowford Falls will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Both my sons have attended this school, and my youngest is set to graduate. We have had a wonderful experience in every facet at Shallowford Falls. The Special Ed dept is overseen and facilitated to meet students where they are. The team mentality on IEP teams is such a heartwarming feeling and reduces the stress of advocating. The volunteers who assist SF are amazing--from the PTA, Foundation, Super Dads, the library restockers, and everyone in between. Teachers are attune to students' social and emotional well-being and issues are dealt with fairly and compassionately. My sons are Black, and finding a school where they are accepted has been monumental. In regards to a previous review regarding the discrimination during AM carpool, we have never witnessed or experienced what the original poster claims. Each morning, what we do see, are teachers assisting to unload the cars of Special Need students. We are currently in our 8th year at this school, and in all those years, the only cars who we have witnessed where teachers open doors and help unload the kids are those cars with Special Needs students who pull all the way to the front. This is our 8th year, and each and every day, that is what we see. Teachers are trained to not open doors or assist any students except those who are disabled. I'm disheartened the previous poster finds this "comical" and it shows their own lack of inclusion and acceptance. If we could go back and time and do elementary school again, we would pick Shallowford Falls in a heartbeat. It has been instrumental in providing a safe and inclusive environment where our children have been able to grow into the humans they are now and ultimately ready for middle school. The passion of the teachers is untouchable and this example starts with the admin team. Shallowford Falls = 10 out of 10 stars.

For morning car drop-offs, the white female teachers discriminate between white kids and non-white kids. When we pull up, and they see us, 3 teachers would swarm to the car in front of us, and no one would bother to come to our car door to help our kid out of the car. It's almost comical to see. It's happened routinely, and it's different for males (volunteer fathers) or non-white teachers.

So thankful for this school! My kids transitioned out of homeschooling into public school this year and it has been such a gentle and positive transition. The teachers and staff have all been so supportive and all of us were made to feel welcome and able to find such an uplifting community. My kids have been able to thrive and grow and learn and I have only good things to say about it. Well done Shallowford Falls!

This school is AMAZING!!! All 3 of my children attended from kindergarten through 6th grade. EXCELLENT school!! The ratings system has changed and this school is FAR BETTER than this rating reflects. It deserves to be a 10/10!!!

Shallowford Falls is an amazing school with a phenomenal staff. Shallowford has truly created a community. The teachers are loving, dedicated and supportive. We are so excited to send our children to Shallowford Falls!

Our personal experience has been incredible. We moved from a school district in South Cobb, specifically to this district in East Cobb. Shallowford Falls has exceeded our expectations. We are so happy!

My child is finishing second grade, but all homework assignments to this point have been easily manageable. This year, SFES implemented a no homework Wednesdays, to give students a break and a chance to play and spend time with their families after school. We love it!

My son had a learning disabled student in his kindergarten class. I volunteered heavily and saw the amazing support that student received; the care, patience, and compassion he was given was amazing. I have a younger son in preschool who comes to SFES for speech therapy, which he will continue when he starts SFES. All special education teachers have been wonderful!

The administration really failed my son. I feel this school is more concerned with test scores then the actual student. It was a real disappointment and we are now a year later still dealing with the situation cause by this school.

The experience we've had at Shallowford Falls is one every elementary-aged child and family should have. This is a wonderful school that truly has a sense of community I have not seen elsewhere, across many years and many states (myself a former educator and part of a military family who have lived all over the US). Every staff member and teacher genuinely welcomed my child from Day 1, an easy transition for her despite starting Kindergarten partway through the school year due to a move from out of state. The amount of growth and learning my daughter achieved was amazing! The teachers all have exciting, memorable ways for kids to learn and retain new skills. There are many opportunities to volunteer and spend extra time with your child during school hours and evenings. If you treat education as important and value your students, you see that reflected in them. I could go on and on, but suffice to say Shallowford Falls has been a huge blessing in my daughter's life.

AMAZING SCHOOL! Principal, teachers and staff are very attentive. The quality of education is second to none. Children feel safe and are encouraged to participate in all activities. My daughter excelled in this environment. This school is as good, if not better than, any private school.

I love this school! The teachers and everyone in the office have been very helpful and friendly. My husband and I always feel like there care about our son. Our teachers the past two years have just amazed us at how well they keep us informed and involved. We are so happy we moved to East Cobb and Shallowford Falls!

This is our first year at Shallowford Falls. My two sons are excelling in every aspect of their education. Both teachers are caring and empathetic and clearly love what they do. The school is beautiful and the faculty and staff have all been extremely pleasant and helpful in all my interactions with them. Teachers and staff members who I don't recall meeting all know who the boys are and the school has a close knit community feel. The activities are so abundant that we couldn't begin to attend even half of them and the parents involvement is something I have never witnessed prior to coming here. I can't say enough - wonderful experience thus far. I would highly recommend this school to any parent.

I was bummed when we started here in K. My son is very gifted which we have known about since he was 3. It was recommended to us by professionals to send him to the Walker School. We did not want to pay those prices and I had heard great things about Shallowford Falls so we decided to try it. I expected to find it lacking but we have had a great experience here. He has had great teachers that have given him the extra attention and work he needs. He is in the Target program which seems to be good so far. Parental involvement is very high. I love that it is a small school. I am impressed that other teachers who have not had my son in class know him by name and there are days when he tells me the principal had conversations with him at recess about what he was working on. The front desk staff is always friendly and parents are always welcome in this school. The only cons would be that Spanish is not part of the regular class time, only as an after school option, and that science is only every other week for the lower grades (but science teacher is paid for by the foundation.) Overall a wonderful school. The small size makes it truly a gem in the East Cobb School system.

This school is a very nice suburban school. I am the parent of a child soon to finish K. My feeling so far is that this school, like all other public schools in this area rated 10, does the most that can be done within a state-mandated, federal-rules driven environment. There are minimum standards, there is teaching to the lowest-common denominator too, just like in any public school. Don't think that just because this school is in East Cobb and is rated 10 (like all others around here), it will have a Westminster-type curriculum, environment and standards. It is a good public school. I am pleased that we have experienced no bullying episodes with a child that we think is somewhat prone to being bullied. But then again, this is just K. Otherwise, all good - nothing that needs critique. I give it 5 stars for a public school.

Shallowford Falls does not impress me. The teachers seem tired and lack the smiles that should be pervasive in an elementary school. The focus on AR reading is too much, taking authenticity and intrinsic love of reading away from students. Where I think a school should be humming with kid sounds, this one is quiet. Newsletters are inconsistent from the teacher, school and PTA. I have no opportunities to volunteer in the classroom, only at big events such as the book fair. My son has learned, yes. But he is uninspired by this test-score focused learning. My daughter became a well behaved wall flower, timid and forgotten I have seen kid-centered, vibrant, healthy schools. This one has not impressed me on that level. Their test scores are great, but that is about it.

I love Shallowford Falls Elementary School. It was a great fit for everyone and the teachers there are wonderful and very nice. One thing that I didn't like about it was that the only way to go to the nurse if you have thrown up or need medical attention right then. Kids who went and who have high tempatures but not running a fever would be sent back with no question at all. I love this school but I feel that they could improve on that.

Shallowford Falls is a fantastic school. All-Around Excellence describes a school that goes above and beyond to ensure high achievement from it's students, in addition to offering ample before and afterschool opportunities for enrichment. There is something for everyone at Shallowford Falls. Parental involvement is encouraged whether you have 20 minutes a week or 20 hours a month to contribute. Not only do children succeed at this school, but their efforts are recognized and celebrated with awards, honors and verbal praise. The administration and support staff at this school is tops... we're proud to be part of this amazing school community after relocating from the midwest!
