I used to go here and the school was horrible and the staff did nothing to fix it. I wouldnt recommend this school to anyone. The staff didnt care about the students only their reputation. We had a ton of lockdowns, students would have to be escorted to the bathroom because of the drug problem, and bullying was also huge problem. The staff wouldnt tell parents anything.

DONT GO. This school is horrific. I went here for the 24-25. There was a kid who beat up other students everyday. The staff did nothing about this. There was a sewer that was open in the playground where kids could just walk right inside of. The teachers had NO clue what they were talking taking about. The school flooded by a hurricane nearby. They still made us stay till 10 am while water barricades us in. We were in the gym while this was happening. The kids who were sitting on the gym floor had to quickly run to the bleachers as water barged the gym. Dont go here if you dont want to get framed for something you never did. When staff couldnt find out who did something they would just randomly pick a kid to get in trouble.

Faith, like many DoDEA middle schools, fails their students on almost every metric. As a student, I despised it but chalked it up to being a no-good kid as I grew older. After speaking with the parents of children who now attend this school and speaking with their kids one on one, Im assured its a matter of failure to reach kids and meet educational goals.
Its an incredibly militarized school. These kids did not sign enlistment contracts. No educator has the right to treat children as either miscreants or subordinates. The majority of educators I experienced as a student of this school were either apathetic, or riding a power-high of getting paid to run a diet basic on 12 year olds. This culture runs deep, from upper admin to elective.
The stark difference of public education compared to our federally funded DoDEA system is embarrassing. From failing to meet educational standards at grade level to the toxic runoff waste of administration, it doesnt end.
Do not send your MS aged children to this school. Charter or homeschool if possible. Live off base to district into Columbus and magnets if you can. Watching a dear friends IEP-necessary child falter while at this school broke my heart, and reminded me exactly how much we are failing military children.

(Note: I've been here from 6-8th grade)I mean I get it. You have to deal with students who had incompetent parents who didn't teach them right from wrong, but that's still no excuse for you to be rude to EVERY student. A lot of the teachers sometimes snap at the wrong student for no reason. You could be doing your work quietly and your teacher could just yell out your name and get you in trouble; Even though I'm quiet in most of my classes my teachers will sometimes snap at me for nothing. Another thing is how lazy they are with grading, sometimes even waiting till the last quarter to put in an assignment you did in the first week. I got a C for the first time because a certain teacher decided not to put in my grade even though I completed it and it took a massive 9% of my grade, while my friends who didn't do the assignments got 100s. I've also seen a few fights happen and they will try to confiscate your phone if they think you recorded a fight. They also did a drug bust earlier this year where a two kids had vapes, and one had "plants" which weren't found (i cant gove futher information I think). I mean, good for you they got stopped but if you were paying attention to the problem children wouldn't you notice something was off? On the other hand, The counselors are very nice and easy to talk to but most kids don't like talking to them for some reason. My favorite teachers are Mrs. And Mr. Colburn, Dr. Kreider (sorry if I spelt your name wrong), Ms. Minton, and Mr Chambers. They are strict if your problematic but if your good they are actually very funny and nice. Other than that, all the teachers are rude and sometimes even disrespectful, don't even get me started on how overpriced and garbage the school food is, and I forgot to mention but they kinda need to work on their special needs program. The kids seem like they are treated kindly, but sometimes they will speak to them in a very bad tone or just straight up yell. They also don't do anything when they start getting stressed out and yelling most of the time, but students normally don't laugh; I also try to make sure to hush someone down when they start laughing at a special needs kid. But yeah, overall wouldn't recommend. There's a few gem teachers and that is amazing but other than that, everything else is pretty bad. Also im not gonna hold it back but a lot of these kids are just plain stupid "YAY I only got one F" "Oh my God all Cs Yesssss!" Like what? Are you even trying?

I love the band program at this school. The teachers make me feel included in the class activities and they make me want to come here. I will be sad when I leave.

Not addressing student inappropriate actions toward other students, so how can you even talk about respect.
Posted: August 23, 2018
I don't know how to answer since everyone seems to pass the buck when it comes to bullying.

No process to handle the current bullying problem.

Until they get a handle on the treatment of their students and EVERY STUDENT feels safe, nothing will matter. My daughter is not acting like my daughter and the sad thing is she sees these same students treating others even worse. It's horrible. She used to be outgoing and makes friends. Now she won't even hold her head up. They have a major bullying problem. We are trying to find another alternative which is sad since we like the area.

This is my son's second year at Faith. His teachers in both 6th and now, 7th grade have been fantastic. I get emails on a regular basis, Gradespeed is always updated, and the teachers have always answered all of my questions. I was a little hesitant at first after reading some of the reviews but Mr. Mood has really made a huge improvement to the school. I highly recommend FMS. :)

Faith Middle School is by far the worst DOD school. My son is in the 6th grade, school year of 2013-2014. My son is a special ed child with an IEP and the teacher involvement is the worst. Academically he is a straight A and B child but its because of all the hard work he does at school and the help he gets at home. I've asked for him to be in a specific classe during school hours and also to get extra help after school. Well, the class still waiting on like extra help in reading. My son is on a waiting list!?!? When I asked for extra help after school, teacher excuse was that the DOD does not have enough funds to educate!?!? Also this school has a serious case of bullying. My son has been bullied mentally and physically since the beginning of the school year and the school does nothing about it. The 1st time my son was attacked a bruise was left on his body from the 1st incident and the child that caused the harm on my son, got away with it. The 2nd time sexual remarks were made to my son and nothing was done about it. Also the PE teacher at one time was the principal of the school but could not handle all the bullying and the principal now can careless as with the superintendent.

this school has too many problems. They always pick on one kid, which means suspension for something that some one else did. Also, one of the vice principals is always threatening kids with getting their family kicked of base. Plus, when there are very serious problems, no one ever does anything. This has been the problemsworst school ever. Luck eighth graders that can go off base.

Academically this school is solid. HOWEVER, the school is lacking on dealing w/bullying. My son attended Faith Middle School for a brief period of 2wks. My son is outgoing & makes friends easily and IS NOT a confrontational child. Faith Middle School is THE ONLY MIDDLE SCHOOL FOR Fort Benning. There was a child at this school that had been picking on/bullying my son since DAY ONE. My son did not say anything to any of the staff at the school because, he did not want to be looked at like a rat & did not want the bullying to get worse. TWO WEEKS INTO SCHOOL MY SON WAS STABBED! THIS HAPPENT AT THE ON POST MIDDLE SCHOOL. NO MP's were called! When we asked what is going to be done about the child, the principal said they could not answer that because of the privacy act. When we went to speak to the superintendent, the issue was blown off as my child being "poked". We had put him on antibiotics for it! They denied the incident happened when a parent called about it. The issue was completely brushed under the carpet. Because the school can not insure the safety of its students, I pulled my son & had to put him in a private school! 3WKS. later, THE SAME CHILD stabbed another student! WHY??

The school is very focused on teaching kids academics as well as healthy lifestyles. The teachers I've encountered genuinely care about their students. I feel safe whenever I visit the school. Many OCS students do detail work there, helping kids and teachers during the day as well as acting as crosswalk guards and safety officers.
