Wynnbrook Christian school is anything but a true Christian school. I saw a previous review that said it was Christian in name only… and that really sums it up. My family was put through emotional hell this past school year. Due to the school involving themselves in my same sex marriage, they banned us from any school involvement with volunteering and the way they treated us was heartbreaking. They bullied us to the point where I had to transfer my child to another school. However, that ended up being a blessing because he’s in a great school system and getting a much better education than he was previously. We were never treated equally and we felt it was just time to disconnect from this school. I don’t recommend this school…. If this is how they treat others that are different from them, that tells me this isn’t the place to be. We can still treat someone with dignity, love, and respect— even if we don’t agree with them on certain things. This school and church have missed the mark.

This school, particularly the pre school, portrays to be christian based, but I can assure you they are anything but that!! Their special education, safety, and family engagement are shameful!! They speak on TODDLERS as if they’re grown adults, and they are anything but understanding. Please consider any other program before placing your child here.

Very difficult to write this review. My child/children have attended Wynnbrook Christian School for several years. Unfortunately, we have been forced to make a school change this year. There is no longer a school board with parent involvement. The administration doesn't want parent input, you are not able to speak with the school board. You have to appeal, and even after appealing, communication wasn't the greatest, which is extremely surprising. I loved Wynnbrook and never wanted to move my children. It hurts my heart honestly. It started two years ago with one of my children in prek, he wanted to cheer with his sister, but they say no and I understood that he just wanted to do something with his sister, he didn't even know what that was. He had seen men Auburn cheerleaders so he thought he would do stunts. Long story short for him, he was bored and couldn't stay seated. They suggested that he move to the half-day preschool. He finished the year, preschool pre-k passed him. The regular Wynnbrook tested him and said no he needed to repeat prek. He did not make all his sounds correctly and failed by just a small margin. He went to the park a second time, and last year they wait to tell me he can not repeat it and wasn't ready for kindergarten despite me also paying for him to have tutored by the school. So they blocked his application. He was diagnosed with ADHD and was started on medication before the end of the year. Was doing well. He said if Jesus can give you second chances why can't Wynnbrook? I prayed and tried not to be bitter, and my other children continued to attend. This school year 2022/2023 when open enrollment started they blocked my other child's application, I asked why? Was told he wasn't ready for kindergarten, he also ended up repeating prek twice, plus they did preschool from age 2 on. In March I told my child who has gone there from the beginning, but the board said my child wouldn't be able to attend due to no longer being able to deal with epilepsy students. They had all this time, and there are still students there with epilepsy. The appeal was denied but they avoided the communication, I wasn't told till 2 weeks ago, she couldn't attend because the appeal was denied. My child loves Wynnbrook and the only friends known are there. It breaks her heart and doesn't understand why. It feels very personal, I've prayed because I don't want to be bitter. At the same time it wasn't Christian like.

My children have been at WCS for the last 2 years. I am very pleased. I have seen my children grow academically and spiritually. It is great to know that my children are surrounded by a staff of professionals who love and care for them. I am very pleased with the principal and teachers. They are willing to communicate with me anytime I have concerns or questions. I would not hesitate recommending this school to anyone.

Very difficult to write this review. My child has attended Wynnbrook Christian School for several years. Unforunately, we have been forced to make a school change this year. There is no longer a school board with parent involvement. The administration doesn't want parent input. Teacher salaries have been decreased and several outstanding, qualified teachers have made tough choices not to return. New principal for the 2012-2013 school year with questionable experience. Not certain if she even has a degree in education or management. Sadly, parents and teachers only discovered all of this change during the few weeks of July. Shame of Wynnbrook Christian School for the deceit!

My child has been at Wynnbrook Christian School for many years, and I have seen a positive progressive growth in her academic performance. As a practicing teacher in the public school system, I can certainly compare the advantages Wynnbrook has to offer. Smaller classroom numbers, frequent teacher communications, numerous after school activities and a sense of being one big family with Christian values, makes this school an excellent place for your child to grow academically, spiritually and personally.

Christian in name, only. From the church leadership down to the principal. Don't waste your time or your money with this school. There are a lot better ones in the community.

First rate facilities, first rate teachers (up to 4th grade only) terrible administration. Unless you want your kids to be guinea pigs for a social experiment, I don't recommend. We were here for one year and left. Joke of a school.
