Their is a lot of bullying and teacher dont help out and putting kids in iss for defending their own the teachers dont care about the kids they care about their sports and care about their paycheck and they do not put grades and make the kids fail Im going to remove my kids from the horrible school

If youre looking for a school that excels at optics but struggles with real inclusion, this might be the place. On the surface, theres a focus on student support but beneath that, theres a culture of performance over authenticity.

Despite claiming to support all students, the adults in the building often send a different message especially toward staff who think differently, process differently, or bring personal insight to mental health work. Collaboration is touted, but gatekeeping is the norm.

If your child is neurodivergent or needs outside-the-box care, tread thoughtfully. There are wonderful students and some well-meaning teachers, but the internal culture may not match the brochures.

This place is so bad. It feels like torture, Ive NEVER felt that way about any other school. Everyone makes fun of you if your boy and have hair too long or have to hair at all, also when the students have ANY free time, they abuse it. I once saw someone throw a chair at another kid when. They had free time. And the teachers dont even care that much, all they do when a kid harasses someone else is take points off. What even are points? Who sees these? The food is horrible, my friend got a decayed apple once. Half of it was decayed! Along with that they serve the same food pretty much everyday.

This school sucked I went there for my 7th grade year, and I was an openly gay student and because of this I was bulled a lot for It, and I had other teachers and students see what happened and did nothing. One teacher would constantly talk about her family and go of topic a lot she would have student's assignments stacked up and yet would not grade them. I will say the only redeemable thing about the school was the music program.

Teachers listen to students personal conversations and make fun of them later on when something about that comes up. For example, if you are dating someone in middle school your teacher will find away to make fun of you for dating in middle school. Not all teachers are like this but some teachers go out of there way to pick on their students.

The teachers yell at you for the smallest things and some of the administrators do nothing about bullying and have not helped me at all they will constantly put people down instead of lifting them up.

This school clearly doesn't care for their students health. For one, ever since the bathroom policies have been out, they're barely even letting the students go to the bathrooms. Specifically, if it's for an emergency, they have to go. The certain students does not need to explain the reason why they need to use the restroom.

Agree with other reviews- Administration leaves a lot to be desired. Bullying/Racism is rampant by both students & staff. We should expect more from our educators.

The school is awful.As a student the teachers dont do anything as in they dont grade anything, cant teach, and a few are sexist and pick favorites. Not to mention its very unsanitary and the bathrooms smell and seem like they NEVER get cleaned. Sure there are a few good teachers like Andrea Sirard but basically everyone else cannot teach. The only positive I can see is that there is little to no bullying but that does nothing to make up for all the negatives. Infact I did a bit or research and as of writing this review 9/10 students are failing lit comp, including me. If you can AVOID THIS SCHOOL. Take your kids to Mccleskey as its a way better middle school.

Awful, ineffective, lack of safety on campus and lack of concern for safety on campus. Tax payers are paying for a Police Officer, Canine and Cameras that don't work, nor manned nor have video tape recordings.

Bullying is out of control here. Administration treats it with repeated punishment, that doesn't stick with the student causing the disruption. And the cameras aren't manned, nor video tapped.

Teachers yell at students as only 1 foot is out of a vehicle, "GET TO CLASS!" Yelling during GA Milestone testing as well as tapping on desks during testing. I'm not sure I can post what a Teacher calls White Students. Teachers make fun of Student that learn a Math method differently. Promote students to the next grade, without grading all the school year work. And promote, even when they know, a student should not be moved on.

Nightmare! Nothing but problem, after problem with the local catchment of Little River ES, and Mill Creek MS. If we'd known now, what we would have been through, we would have removed and enrolled our children in our current and wonderful, school, back in K grade. They had a GREAT Year at their new school and weren't torn down by their Teachers, but encouraged to learn! A concept that CCSD doesn't promote.

Today was my sons last day at Mill Creek and we could not be happier. The majority of the teaches I have had interaction with could care less and just clock in and clock out. Bullying is a huge problem at this school and they do nothing about it. If I knew in 6th grade what I know now I would have moved rather than have my son deal with this school.

The school is over crowded, yes but the school itself is great! The front office staff is to the point and kind! The school emails you with updates in case your kid forgets to inform you, or you can get the flyers when you walk in. Teachers - it doesn't matter where you go, there are going to be the exceptional and not so exceptional...it is what it is! Backpack issue - they don't even need a backpack because they don't have school books to tote around like we did growing up, everything's in a packet or on the computer. And I'm sorry, if your MCMS child cannot finish all of their homework then some serious time management needs to take place or they are waiting until the very last minute to complete the assignment because these kids DON'T get homework EVERY SINGLE night! My kid is usually able to finish a portion of hers at the end of the day. Bottom line, this is a wonderful public school!

I love Mill Creek! Dr.Martin is such a fantastic principal! The PTSA does amazing events like The Color Run, and they really support the teachers!

Our kids have been in MCMS for a couple years. Overall, CCSD is not a caring system. Since elementary school, we've been in contact with the administration almost every year. Our kids are trying to learn but disruptions from other kids are not handled appropriately by the teachers. Granted, there are a few decent teachers but most are acting more like babysitters who do NOT have command of their classes. Far too much bullying, theft, and overall uncaring has been experienced. Like other posters have stated, if you're not in music or sports or an overly protected IEP'r, you're NOTHING in the CCSD system. Talking with others, the same trend has been experienced. We've seen the kids who are there to strictly learn, including mine, get overpassed by MCMS (and from discussions, RRHS) where the "popular" kids get the attention. Our kids have had some of the popular kids, including IEP'rs, bully them, yet, when reported to the admin, a deaf-ear / blind-eye is turned. Ends-up my kids are treated poorer than those causing the issues. We moved to the area in anticipation of having new schools in a so-called great educational system provide a future. Instead, its been more-of pain and agonizing years of an uncaring CCSD system (elementary & MCMS). As the proverbial phrase goes, "Time to get outta Dodge".

Even in high school credit classes some of the teachers just don't care about their students and won't help them unless you are failing the class I guess cause it makes them look bad to have kids failing the class... but to kids like me whose grades are in the 80's and my parents want them in the 90's they don't provide much help because 'we're still passing'

I take high school credit classes and I know that they are suppose to be hard and that your suppose to have homework every night (which is a lie by the way) but when ever I get home work from some classes its packets that I have to complete and then turn in the next day or I get a 0, this is hard because when I have a 3 hour practice after school Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, then preforming in the game on Friday. its overwhelming and I know that I'm not the only one because almost everyone in my extra credit classes have something afterschool whether it's football, soccer, Spanish club, or even this year we are helping a senior with her senior project in chorus, it's just to much because the only way to fix this is to stop doing whatever clubs or sports your in but that isn't far to us, as students, because then your taking away something that we love to do and that help us relax and get our minds off of all the stress.

I had 2 children attend MCMS for 2 years. My kids had a horrible experience. I withdrew my kids, moved & put them in a new school where none of the issues I will state have ever happened. 1st the school is not welcoming. They do not keep parents involved or put out regular communications. The front staff is beyond rude & unprofessional. I witnessed them gossiping & being rude to parents. MCMS is overcrowded. That can't be debated. Its a fact. The classrooms are overcrowded to the point the kids can't bring backpacks into the classroom as there is no room. The classrooms are loud & the teachers are stressed out. You can hear teachers angry yelling in the halls. I witnessed teachers getting in students faces and streaming at them. Behavior problems, bullying and disruptive classrooms are the norm. Teacher- not returning emails or calls. I tried numerous times to speak & workout academic issues but couldn't get them to work with me.

I went to that school frome 6 to 8 an I have to say I loved that school so much and the teachers there are the so cool and help full I really recommend that school and if u love sports art and music than that's the school for you they will help you.

Love the school My son is in the IEP program and they work with him. My son is able to meet with teachers for help before and after school. As far as people talking about the bully aspect. My son and his friends had a some bullies bothering them. He went to the vice principal and they handled it right away. The adminstration can't fix it if they don't know what's wrong. The bullies were dealt with, within 24 hours of the vic principal knowing. Great School.
