Finding a new private school for my two young girls on short notice was a stressful challenge, especially as a widow and a single, working parent. My standards for a school are the highest they could possibly be, and The Habersham School has exceeded every single one of them. This school has been an absolute blessing to our family.
Everything about Habersham is outstanding. They provide a truly Christ-centered education, strong academics, and a fantastic house system with excellent teachers and leadership. My daughters have never been so genuinely happy to go to school; they are inspired and motivated every day.
As a parent, I now feel confident in my girls' future, knowing they are getting the best possible foundation. I will be recommending this school at all times. Simply the best private school we could have ever found! Thank you for having us.

We are wrapping up our second year at The Habersham school with children in the lower and middle school. Being a school for Christian families has offered an opportunity for my children's discipleship and education to be intertwined in a beautiful way. I'm comforted as a parent that other parents share my Christian convictions and have been blessed to develop friendships with many other parents. The academics are strong. Even my lower school child is coming home sharing what is learned and responding in a way that is a parent's dream - asking questions and wanting to dig deeper. This classical model really teaches children not what to think but how to think. Students are engaging daily with each other, staff, and real books - not iPads or Chromebooks. The beautiful techniques of cursive, grammar on paper without spell check, and rigorous math in small class settings are just some of the ways that encourage me my children will be prepared for wherever the Lord takes them next. They are definitely learning at The Habersham School they can do hard things and being challenged to do so.

We have been at The Habersham School for 4 years, currently in middle school, and we absolutely love it. Our family has had many experiences with other private and public schools in the area, and this school has been the best fit for our family. Dont be discouraged by the few negative reviews on here because there has been a change in the staff and leadership of this school. We are just an average family with a desire to have our children be pointed to Christ and taught how to thrive in a world with a different worldview than that of the Bible. Academically it is on parr with the competing schools without being a burden of homework and stress. Please go check it out, especially for those awkward middle school years where your child needs friends in Christ to run the race together with.

I'm at a lost for the correct descriptive words for this school. Long ago the staff was more involved, concerning and inviting. Now you have to cozy up to get liked. Teachers? Very few really want to teach as a gift from Christ. Not enough diversity. Too much "hob-knobbing" among those that overflow their bank account. The more you give the more you and your children are loved, or selected to be in the pictures to visually lie, or be participants in anything. The morale amongst the students, staff and parents is astronomically low.

We have been at The Habersham School for a couple years now and we blown away with how amazing this school is for our kids. As parents, we really feel that the school is partnering with us raise our kids in this world.

They don't give a fig about character. If you pump money into the school, your children win every award. If you don't, they get ignored (or seen to the door).

The school is a zoo. Favoritism, nepotism, despotism. The "leaders" founded a school so that they could be in control of something.

Forget being bullied by fellow students. If the leadership doesn't like you, THEY bully your kids.

Both of my children attend Habersham's lower/middle school. We moved here from WA (in 2018) and have loved the Classical Christian education and the open arms of the teachers and other students/parents we now call family. Academically I'd say it is rigorous but not elitist; there is not an overbearing focus on grades as much as there is a focus on the habits of thought and action. Math in the lower grades is Singapore Math which focuses on depth in fewer topics. THS has an impressive Latin program (MANY gold medals in the National Latin Exam) but based on my kids' ages, my current favorite academic feature is the focus on literature and memorization/recitation. I also appreciate the opportunities for exploration of sports and arts--lower students choose PE or Ballet and strings or choir during the school day. My kids love the culture and house system where lower and upper school students mix into Houses for service projects and creative theatrical and sports competitions.

Not overbearing. The administration has read and implemented the research out there about HW at younger ages.

I love how The Habersham School educates the whole child, their character and habits while providing an education that points everything back to God and His creation. Classical Education includes lots of reading, narration and Latin! It teaches them how to think and gives them confidence to question and explore. I love that the end goal is mastery not memorization. I highly recommend this school because it's God honoring and Jesus seeking in all areas including the many athletics and visual arts programs. We are blessed with fantastic coaches, teachers and staff that really care! When our child shadowed here he described it "like a family." I truly wish I could go back to school and be educated this way and often read right along with my 4th and 6th grader!

With small class sizes and focused instruction time, homework is not hours and hours. They teach the students how to focus in class and at night narrate to their parents what they learn so that material will stick long term, not just for a test.

Teachers are easy to communicate with and work with families to find the best way to motivate and push their students to be their best.

The teachers and staff meet the student where they are and do not shame them while they figure out who God has created them to be. I love that they show grace and love while my children mature.

The house system is amazing. They are molding leaders and also giving great examples to those that may not be leaders but how to submit and be unified. This bleeds into unity within family, school, class, and house.

They offer several tutorial opportunities for different subjects, even with different teachers to give a different way of teaching.

From my experience, when an issue arises they sit down the students involved and seek out their heart with scripture, they talk it out and usually the kids are back to buddies the next day.

We can't say enough great things about The Habersham School! Our children are learning grammar, math facts and geography in an environment that values and builds their character. They are better people because of their experiences at this sweet school.

Young children are encouraged to play and read at home. As children grow, an appropriate amount of meaningful homework is added to their schedules as review.

Teachers at Habersham find ways to connect with students that make them feel loved and respected. Once that foundation is laid, students excel to meet expectations.

The Habersham School has been a great fit for our student. The program offers solid academics as well as balanced opportunities for sports and arts. All of this is delivered in a loving, supportive environment. The classical and Christian components provide the foundation to make this program especially worthwhile to students and their families. We're very thankful for THS!

We love The Habersham School! Our boy is in PK4 and they (and other teachers as well) treat our son and his classmates with dignity in moments of celebration and correction. These teachers are always for these students. They challenge them and honor their efforts. The House System makes everyone from pk3-12th grade feel like a real family.

This is an excellent school that teaches students how to observe, think and formulate thoughts and then how to communicate those observations and thoughts to the world around them. The academics are rigorous but fair and are taught by faculty who care about their students and are committed to Christ. The athletics are competitive and led by coaches who strive for excellence and believe in developing body, mind and soul. I highly recommend this school!
