This is the far most worst charter school in Columbia county. They approved my baby application and came back and denied it 3weeks before school starts. I received an email saying she was placed in the wrong grade. I got that situated with sail and her previous school. Then sail came back and still denied her and said they can’t accommodate her because she has special needs and they don’t have that at the time. I never heard any school turn a child down due to special needs. Excuses excuses excuses. I will so much better if they just told me she was not welcome to that school.

My children have ADHD and at Sail they don't need the medication to fit inside a box. They are allowed movement and the teachers have control over the learning environment. Not a plan set by the county. They allow the children to express themselves. I love my children have Art, Music Drama, Dance, Kinesiology as part of their curriculum. Not to mention they have Spanish daily starting in Kindergarten. I feel my children have a more "whole education " experience there and not just memorizing material for a test. Test measures memorizing more so than education.

I had the worst experience at this school ever. My child was special needs with Autism and received no assistance with her disability. She was bullied in the classroom by another student. I met with the principal and nothing was done. She hated going to school there. It was refreshing to Sail off to a different school where she loves school now. I feel extremely sorry for the children left behind and I seriously hope that no other child has to experience what my child did at Sail. To say I was disappointed would be a huge understatement. All children deserve a quality education which can not be obtained at Sail in my opinion.

SAIL is a true gift to my two children. My children have been at SAIL since the very beginning. I have watched them mature and grow over the course of five years. My children have developed socially and emotionally, as well as, academically. My children have grown in confidence when it comes to reading and math. The teachers have worked one on one with my children to make sure they were up to grade level. SAIL infuses the arts in their every day common core lessons which I believe helps a child retain information in a practical way. In addition, SAIL not only has incredible classroom teachers, but amazing encore teachers, school counselor, lunch room staff, custodial crew, and parent volunteers. We are so thankful with our experiences at SAIL!

SAIL has been the absolute best school for our child! He loves it and constantly talks about how nice all of the teachers are. I have never seen a friendlier staff and the school feels like one big family. He has learned so much since being there. Even though SAIL is a public school, it has a private school feel. I cannot say enough great things about this school!

Being a mom with a child who has a learning disability, I can not say enough good things about this school. My child has learned more and matured more in a year of being at SAIL than being in public school. I wish there was more schools like SAIL because all kids deserve this type of learning. Teachers can actually teach to the individual child as needed and that’s a big plus in my book. I have found the staff to be very welcoming and caring when it comes to my child and I love how the schools way of educating my child is more form fitting for my his needs.

We've been at SAIL since the beginning. We love what our children have learned. Our son is heading to high school in Columbia County with 2 high school credits and taking AP and gifted classes. Our other child is thriving, in gifted, and will be fluent in Spanish when going to middle school. The arts infusion for each core class makes learning great!

We love SAIL! I've always had great experiences with the teachers and staff. The way the teachers tailor the lessons to help each kid at their own level has been awesome for my kiddos. The Scholar Support Specialist does an amazing job of helping kids understand their feelings and emotional regulation, and is great at communicating lessons and getting feedback from parents before taking the lessons into the classrooms. It was great getting to be involved in the school and help out during the day during events and such. We're really looking forward to the new school year!

My kid has a learning disability and ever since we switched to SAIL it has been such a better and more direct learning experience for him. The teachers really do pay attention and take the necessary time to assist him. He has come a long way from his previous elementary school and they allowed him to express his more artistic side of learning because of the type of school they are. He even won an award for his dedication of painting and artistic work. I enjoy having my child attending SAIL and only wish they were able to extend their grades into high school.

Sail Charter School has been an absolute blessing to my children since the doors opened in 2017. The arts-infused model has been greatly beneficial to my children. They are learning state standards in meaningful, creative, and fun ways. The teachers go above and beyond, and everyone is always friendly and helpful. It's one big family. They currently have grades K-8. My family is very hopeful to see high school offered in the future. We can't imagine being anywhere else. A big thank you to all of the staff at SAIL!

Let me preface this by saying if I could give this school zero stars, I would, but sadly that is not an option. The majority of the staff at this school is downright rude and I truly question whether their commitment is to the children or simply to collect a check. Bullying is rampant, flies under the radar, and once brought to their attention, there is no repercussions for the problem children or follow up from staff. This is unacceptable. I regret ever sending my child here, because not only do I feel like the school is lacking education wise, my child was also miserable the entire time they went here and now loathes school as a result. I do not feel as though their curriculum is adequate nor do I feel that they have the skills necessary to ensure students’ success. I truly expected more from a school that is on Columbia County soil and am just eternally grateful that we are SAILING away from this dreadful excuse of a learning institution.
