Staff is always available when there is a need to communicate. This is from the staff in the office and to the teachers. When not immediately avail staff will surely get a msg for a return call.

I am assuming that Highlands have staff to take care of children with learning differences and I also believe the children who have friends that may have some learning differences also helps them outside of the classroom I can see

This problem is immediately taken care of as soon as the office or counselors are informed. Also makes students aware of bullying and I believe an open door policy.

We are very pleased with Highlands. Communication with parents are tops with informing parents of children's progress and suggestions. From our experience the teachers were always avail to the parents n child. The access to website also gave parents a chance to see how the child was doing in class and did he/she need assistance from home in getting them on the right track. The daily comments from teachers were great. A special thank you to "All the staff at Highlands for caring and giving the children the special attention they needed to be productive in their everyday life at Highlands Intermediate. Etc: Principal, VP's, Teachers, Security, Maintenance and all others not mention that give the special "Caring" in their professions. Mahalo Nui Loa

Communicating with parents through their school website. The availability of grades and comments through the website is a tremendous help to us as to how are students are doing. Keep parents informed is key for me. Mahalo

Availability of teachers when a student needs to improve with grades. There should be no reason why my child comes home with unsatisfactory grades when teachers are available to assist. I have yet to get a complaint from our children when they ask for assistance.

Highlands Intermediate is a very good school when it comes to academic, however its sad to say that its a lot of favoritism toward Asian kids in this school. If your child is not local Japanese, good luck.

Highlands Intermediate is a very good school.This is my child's last yr.at the school and I have to say that the teachers are really good,from Band to all the other subjects,math,English,science,social studies etc.They are hardworking teachers.The science club teacher I think her name is Mrs Lin.correct me if I'm wrong,she's there at the school every single day including non school days,outstanding teacher.All the teachers are great including the principal.Glad that my child is going to this school.

I reported the reviewer dated June 28, 2013. Calling people names is not writing a review. The spelling was horrible and, in my opinion, the lack of punctuation shows this is not a student who cares about academics.

It's an awesome school to be in. I'm a student at this school and my teachers are very nice to me and they give me help when I need it. Highlands Intermediate school also has a variety of after school activities and clubs. I'm currently in the Jr. LEO club and I am the homeroom representative in my homeroom. There is plenty of electives to choose from for 8th and 7th grade. This school also has things that are fun for those who do good in school like going to bowling and ice skating field trips. Did I mention the Highlands Got Talent at this school? The winner gets to be in Brown Bags to Stardom. I love this school very much and hope that many others will too!
