It’s school, school is school nothing special. The admin and office people care more about if you’re in dress code than your well being. I don’t even wanna be here and you’re concerned about if my shoulders are out, or a piece of my stomach is showing or if there’s a rip in my jeans that’s above my knees… be so fr I don’t even wanna be here. sometimes I wonder if it’s a game to admin “hehe haha who can dress code more girls today.” You guys should just be thankful students are showing up to school. the way teachers assign work lets and right give us some grace. As long as it’s nothing crazy let it slide it won’t kill you.

WHS admin and counselors are more concerned with their reputation than the wellbeing of their students. Often times, when students reach out, they are completely disregarded and ignored.

Bathrooms, especially female, have not been cleaned for months. A lot of the times, us students are being left without toilet paper. We also haven’t had soap since the beginning of the school year. Our bathrooms are basically tinted brown. This is if we are lucky enough to even have more than one bathroom open on campus. Again, concerns raised regarding cleanliness by students and substitute teacher's have also been completely ignored.

Favoritism also plays a big factor in Waipahu High School dynamic. Certain students are allowed to leave for off-campus without a pass and are able to completely by-pass dress code. It’s clear that the favoritism is a big reason why many students feel unheard and mistreated.

The further that you get into high school, the more money they are asking of you. Graduation ceremony alone cost seniors $80. This is due to the fact that admin and higher ups decided to hold the ceremony on a holiday. Not to mention, transportation is not provided. When admin was questioned by students, who may not be able to pay this fee, about how they expected everyone to cough up this money; we were told to quote on quote, “figure it out.” Again, showing that admin has no concern for their students.

I would not recommend sending your child to this school if you value their wellbeing and education.

I was racially harassed at Waipahu High School during an entire class period, then brutally assaulted after class. I could find no one to help me during the attack. When I reported the attack to the principal, I was punished for reporting this hate crime.
Most of the students at Waipahu High School would never do such a thing, but when it happens, as I found, you will likely be on your own.

Hoo brahhhh.. ahha jk. Waipahu high school, Land of the Marauders. The Conquerers of the Sea. The rough and tough school. Despite all the negative reviews and stories about this school, i for one is proud to be a Marauder. A junior right now upcoming senior, c/o 2k16! This school may not be as pretty as other schools or financially successful as other schools, but Waipahu is the school none like any other! The students are welcoming to upcoming marauders and each other, teachers here actually take the time to listen to our sob stories or or help us throughout the year so that NOBODY fails. Our school may not have the best football team, but we got the best supporters. Bleedin Blue n Gold till the Casket Drops! #Fleek

I'm a sophomore at this school and you don't know how happy I am to be a Marauder. The teachers at this school actually care about your well being and do all they can to help you. Our principal is an amazing principal who cares a lot about his students. I absolutely love football season and I always look forward to Arthur's Awards... HYPED UP! I'm taking AP classes next year, and I hear great things about them. This school has great clubs with many great opportunities and I just love it here. It is definitely about the effort that you put in, and Waipahu, no matter how "ghetto" people say it is, is a great school. I'm definitely proud to be a Marauder, and I'm staying a Marauder for the rest of my high school life :) and like one of the reviews said down there "Love this school brah..Itz da`best. "

I'm a sophomore here at Waipahu High School and I just have to say how happy I am here. I'm in the band and on the track and field team and its been awesome~! Our principal is very involved and so are the staff. We have 'Arthur Awards' or challenges between classes for school spirit every year on our homecoming day that I look forward to every year. The teachers care about us and are involved in our work and many after-school tutoring or help is provided. It's all about the effort YOU put in. There's also a lot of clubs and sports to get involved in! It's a great school.
