Child Psychology will explain how, why, and who.
As for this school, I ask my son, and to my observation, boys will be boys who like a more physical tackle football, king of the hill kinda play time. While girls will be girls making up "My Clicks", "My Groups", My Space so...go figure. And we find those somewhere in not sure what they want to do. Not to mention in class environment.
All Teachers know these types of behaviors. I am confident Kaala School provides the best solution to bullying if and when they occur.

Leadership: Im sad that our Principal will leave us this year 2017, but I am sure the staff at Kaala Elementary will prevail in assuring student safety and class room learning environment. This is a great school and I am proud to be a parent of Kaala Elementary.

Every morning the Principal stands in front of the school greeting every student and parent. School staff is everywhere. Always a watchful eye on the children's safety and well being. I have not seen any bulling, but, if there are incidents, they MUST be reported to the Principal who is standing in front of the school EVERYDAY to greet the kids. I ask my son, if he is being bullied or are other kids been bullied or if he even knows what bully is? My son assures me, he is not being bullied, or his friends are not being a bully or being bullied. I believe my son is in a safe learning environment at Kaala Elementary School.

Teachers at Kaala Elementary School are professional Educators. They know. Our children know. I fully support my son's teacher and I am a happy parent. on a side note: parents are responsible for their child's behavior not the teacher.
So...If your child misbehaves at home or at another family members house than he/she will misbehave at school. Teachers ~ teach and spend all day with your child. My son's teacher will do her best to protect /control her teaching environment. I am a witness to that and believe my son has a great teacher at Kaala Elementary.

My child comes home with homework everyday in a blue folder, a reading response for daily reading times at home. A stamp on his homework calendar for completion of both homework: writing, spelling, math, and reading response. I love it, my kid loves it.
Kaala School is a very good school.

Aloha~My grandson goes to Kaala Elementary and my experience with all the teachers and office staff is nothing but the best. Hats off to the Kaala Elementary School Staff. Job well done. Mahalo~

Who is this teacher that wrote the children are "well behaved"? Do they really teach at Kaala because if they did then they would know that this statement is false. if the children are so well behaved then why do a lot of the teachers have to BRIBE their students with rewards in order for them to be quiet and pay attention?! Or, YELL at the students to do what they want them to do?! During school assemblies, the vice principal has to constantly remind the students to be quiet and pay attention. And the students' behavior is even worse when they're having lunch in the cafeteria: they're screaming and yelling at the top of their lungs and not listening to what they're supposed to do. I visited classrooms in kindergarten and first grade where a lot of the kids were out of control: yelling at the top of their lungs and running around the classroom as if it was a playground. The teachers just ignored them probably because they're used to them. And the new principal is of no help. You ask him for support and he gives you basically nothing in return. Don't let this teacher fool you into thinking Kaala is such a wonderful school to send your children because it is NOT.

Ka'ala Elementary has experienced tremendous growth over the past 12 years. The curriculum is streamlined and emphasizes thinking and problem solving. The children are eager to learn and well behaved and the parents really want their children to be successful. Come with a heart and commitment to inspire and promote growth.
