As an educator myself, I am extremely pleased with this school. I am not trained at Montessori but the little training that I did get - this schools appears to be nearly pure Montessori. It is very hard to find that nowadays. The curriculum is well established and everything from the environment to the circle time meetings are developmentally appropriate. I am very happy to report that my child does NOT bring home worksheets and he has learned a ton! I love how much he has grown - I could go on and on with what I have observed in his learning! The teachers are very sweet and approachable. If you are have a concern they will listen and respond appropriately. All teachers here are highly qualified in both Early Childhood Education AND Montessori Education. In fact EVERY teacher has a degree in Education AND certified in American Montessori Education. You are not going to get a teacher who just needs a job working here! The school is also accreditation in NAEYAC and numerous other associations. I have experience NAEYAC accreditation and this is by far the most rigorous accreditation system for preschools and day cares to meet. This is quality of education at Mary Star of the Sea ELC is excellent and I highly recommend this school. It is worth it!

The teachers and paraeducators do an excellent job setting up a very child centered environment. Students are learning at their level and are having fun!

My daughter has gone to this school since she was 2 years old. She was in the Toddler Program and now she is in the Young Preschool class leve (she turns 4 in two months)l. I have been very happy with the teachers and the environment. We looooved my daughter's very first teacher, Ms. Ayako! She exceeded our expectations as first time parents! Always came up to me and asked if I had any concerns...and was so loving with my daughter...as well as her other students! She made my daughter's next teacher have a hard act to follow...ha,ha! The school is kept VERY clean! First thing I noticed! And it has MANY stimulating toys and supplies to keep the children busy. First thing my husband noticed was how secure the center was! It has a code system to get through the main door...and high barred fences around to keep the chidren safe! However, it does not take away from the beauty of the colorful setting. It is a Montessori learning program...so very child-centered...which is great for children of this age. Also, LOTS of opportunity for parent involvement! Totally recommend this school to anyone!
